I am to be convinced we will see many more coming through the doors, sadly unless people go out first.

Totally agree. I believe we have 1 loan option left so think we’ll utilise that and try and get someone in from the leagues above. That aside, any signings will be to replace those who leave.
IMO we will see McShane go and we’ll probably try and free up Tidsers wage one way or another. Cammy Bell might be another as although he hasn’t let us down I think his wage might be better used elsewhere.
Surely 2 or 3 good signings and keeping McManus wins us the league?

No chance McShane either, 18 month ago in the top league to the bottom league, if either are going it will be to the championship.

I'll be surprised if Queens Park go full time with crowds of 500+ and the kinda wage they would have to pay to get players to drop to that level.

See Gretna mk2 if they do

    Time will tell I suppose.

It would be a huge shock if either McShane or Tidser went to part time Queens park, even a loan would be as much a surprise. I think a few clubs a league up would be willing to take punt on either on loan which would probably still cost us £s.

A swap loan or deal might be the way to go to get both away from us. I've never been impressed with either Tidser or McShane against us but both are squad players who will only start if there is no one else it seems under M & M. I still wouldn't be surprised to hear that Tidser has his wage topped up with appearance money in his contract.

I don’t think Tidser will go to Queens Park, think he will end up being loaned somewhere. McShane to QP I think is a possibility. They are looking to go full time

  4. Can’t see us signing anyone unless we ship a few out so think M&M will move a few on. Personally I think McShane will go, wouldn’t be surprised to see him join up with Ray again. I think there’s a player in Tidser but he’s not playing and is a high earner so wouldn’t be surprised to see him go and Robbie Match’s form (and the fact he’ll be on peanuts compared to Bell) might see Bell go elsewhere. That should free up the money needed to get the 3 or 4 we need to win the league.

    Keeping McManus is a must

See Connor McBride has been loaned to Stenny from Celtic for the rest of the season.

Looked a player when at Falkirk and will have improved since then.

Missed a trick there - could have done a job for us.

The same Connor McBride that’s been at Stenny since the start of October and has scored 1 goal in 11 games? Quite happy to miss that trick.

I love all the positivity on here.

Could you point me in the direction of something to be positive about please? We’re 3rd in league 1, we’re playing mind numbing football, we have no academy and have lost all connection between the club and the fans. Not exactly a joyous time.

Goal of the decade? I was in the South Stand directly in line with Leahy's half volley v Hibs in the playoff. I could see the moment it left his boot it was in, a perfect strike. No keeper could have saved it. There was a token dive by Fatty Foulkes in the Hibs goal but he was beaten the second Leahy connected with the ball.

Leahy at Livi was another thing of beauty.

I think the Tidser thing could be down to the opponent i.e. he isnt the sort of player thats up for a battle there for no chance of putting him in a midfield where he cant be arsed fighting for the ball so that put him down to one of the other 6 teams in the league.

I don’t think I agree with this. Tidser has liked a tackle way more than I thought he did, his tackle at Raith being a perfect example.

He’s not been great but he’s not been the disaster he’s being made out to be. Imagine if we actually used him properly...

Reading a lot of these posts, am I right thinking you Falkirk fans are most concerned with your defence?

The number one problem with the defence is that they are minging.

That aside, I think it’s where a lot of our lack of creativity stems from, we have absolutely nothing to build from. Durnan passed 3 into the stand today when trying to pick out the right back and even if he found him the right back would only have run into someone or crossed it into the stand behind the goal.

Tidser should be the best player at the club - more or less.

Unless he’s injured, it’s the management’s job to get him in the team and get him playing. We don’t have the quality in the squad to leave him out.

I’m not holding out much hope for this happening because, and it gives me no great pleasure to say it, sadly they are both clueless.

I tend to agree with this. He’s not been the success we hoped but I also don’t think he’s been as bad as has been made out. We are crying out for quality footballers and that’s exactly what he can be. Unfortunately the fact he was overlooked again today suggests there is an issue and his time may be up

  11. Mark Durnan produced the worst footballing performance I’ve seen in a very long time today.

I know Tidser hasn’t been a huge success but in what world does replacing him with Durnan make us a better team?

Doyle, Durnan, Buchanan and McShane are dug meat and even some of our better players (Gomis, Miller...) are not exactly the creative types. If you stop Longridge and McManus you stop us.

Awful to watch and easy to play against.

I was beside the directors box at Dumbarton and boy did they get serious abuse. Some of the protests were warranted and delivered in an acceptable manner...Other stuff was personal and to be honest an embarrassment to the good name of Falkirk FC. Some of the abusive comments were nothing to do with RMcK or even football related and as an ordinary FFC supporter, a line was crossed that day, some of the Dumbarton supporters appeared genuinely horrified too - they seemed disgusted.

I can understand why the new chairman mentioned it.

I like most on here has been frustrated with what has gone on with the club over the past few years and I feel the only way to succeed is with everyone facing the same direction.

Before anyone starts making sarcastic comments I have no affiliation to the FFC board or any of its member present or future and never have had.

Can you elaborate on what was actually said and who it was directed at? Can’t say I heard anything overly personal so intrigued to know what was said to embarrass our good name

    Called competitive.
The league of Rangers and Celtic is and always will be a crap league. Bored epitomised. Your definition of a crap league?
East Fife have beaten Dundee United on their own ground and Hearts this season.
You are here because you are here. shhh Get out of it.
And as an aside Montrose will be a dark horse

Ffs not again. The league is awful. We have/had the best defensive record in Britain with a back 4 of Doyle, Durnan, Buchanan and Dixon. Let that sink in then tell me again how good the league is 💤💤💤

90% of 1000 fans voted 5 months ago they had no confidence in the Board of Directors. Why do we now think they will get this right?

Does anyone know how good bad or indifferent these guys are when it comes to coaching?

Why do we have to make things complicated?

If they wanted cover for a couple of games the likes of Scott Mackenzie is free and available. Paul Dixon is currently finishing his A license badges. Cammy Bell is injured so he could surely help. With all respect it is Linlithgow Rose and Stranraer at home in the next two games, giving us plenty time to consider the options and make the right call without rushing into something.

I hope, if this is the route we go it works out. However I can’t quite get the logic of it.

I have no confidence in the board and want them gone as soon as possible. I also understand the Scott McKenzie logic but can you imagine the uproar from our fans if Paul Dixon was put in charge 🙈

The two being discussed have an affiliation with the club and are temporary appointments. It might work it might not, as is the case with any appointment but I’m willing to give them my backing

If we don’t beat Linlithgow Rose every Falkirk fan on the planet will take pelters  regardless of what they thought the outcome might be.
As for “looking stupid” I think Ray and the players will have that covered if they can’t beat a second rate junior side.

Linlithgow are not a junior side.

No bother Fuzzy, you got me on a technicality. Linlithgow are in fact a second rate East of Scotland team which, for those that don’t know, is a league made up of 16 junior teams playing under a different banner.

Anyway now that we’ve clarified that they are an East of Scotland team and not a junior team does anyone feel any different? Nope, thought not 👍🏻

What do people get out of stating we’ll pump Linlithgow? Like it’s not really an out there opinion. It only leaves yourself looking absolutely stupid and sets you up to take pelters if they end up beating us.

Although I have not sorted out a ticket yet, I should be there emoji102.png

    Sit doon ya fucking goat.

Happy that a small club can benefit and try to impress on a big occasion for them. Trying to compliment the scenario without sounding patronising is hard because the majority really do see this fixture for what it is for both sets of fans, a genuine Scottish cup tie.

Sit doon??? What difference would that make?

If this is all about a small club benefiting from a big occasion then 3 cheers for Linlithgow Rose.

I’m merely stating that the fact that a 2nd round cup tie against nothing opposition in a ground that can only get 600 of us in will be many people’s highlight of the season shows we are at rock bottom 🤷🏼‍♂️. People wetting their knickers over the fact I called the ground a shitehole are totally missing the point.
