Exactly. Any SPL fan who thinks the SPL clubs are not party to the goings on is clearly in denial and is refusing to face the facts. The sole reason that the SPL have not invited another club up to the SPL is so they can use it to bully the SFL. I think a lot of SPL fans will be surprised at how quiet their chairmen become when the proposal of Rangers 2.0 being admitted to the SPL is touted if the SFL clubs decide to stand up to the bullying and refuse them altogether. In addition to this it prevents the SFL clubs from automatically promoting clubs up a division to fill the gap on SFL 1. It is simply illogical that the SFL clubs are having a vote to admit a new club when there are no vacancies.

It's the SPL keeping their options open incase the SFL decided to refuse Sevco altogether. They would then drop sevco into the SPL claiming they had no other option.

Lads, calm down. Even if they somehow try and state that RFC are still in existence they would have to go down to Div 3 and then require the SFL to transfer the membership to the Newco. There is no way they could end up in Div 1 as the precedent has been set with putting Livi into Div 3 for being unable to give 100% assurances that they could fulfil their fixtures. However, if they go down this route then they would have to revoke their membership as they are on the path to liquidation which would make it impossible to fulfil any fixtures in Div 3.

Just seen the STV article on the supposed threat regarding a breakaway league. Surely the SFA should step in and tell them to get tae £uck. You can't simply decide that the league set up belongs to you so you are taking your ball away when you don't get your way. They would surely realise that this would be suicide? So much so that the story must be nonsense.

Step one should be to stop trying to emulate the EPL. That is clearly what got us in this mess. We cannot offer the same sort of appeal that the EPL has. What we can do is offer a personal experience and that may mean that non of our matches are televised and a lot of teams would have to drop their wage bill significantly. But i enjoyed the years outwith the SPL more than those when we were in it.

One thing that has not been discussed (i think) is the situation where rfc fold and then there are competing camps claiming to be the newco. Say green gets ibrox but the blue knights lay claim to be the true new rangers, what will happen? The fans will surely be spilt to some extent. People talk about the newco being a straight forward thing but what is to stop these people making different claims?

They should get a Cup Ban by the Appeals Panel and a fine. And then the SFA should charge them for taking the issue to an external court, outside of football, and then expel them from football. It really is the only way forward if the SFA/UEFA/FIFA want to maintain any semblance of control of football.
