  1. Bouncy castle with the Caley mascot? Paintballing with blue and red paint?
  2. Another cameo for Irving last night, again in a game that was already lost. Alvarez suspended for the next match, be interesting to see if he gets some more time. What has been evident under Lopetegui is that when West Ham are losing he likes to bring on ball playing players, opposed to going direct. Obviously trusts Irving to get on to try and create something.
  3. A couple of names doing the rounds in East Sussex regarding the Hearts job. One of which is a coach who has unofficially been working with Brighton for the past few months.
  4. Probably the only positive in what was an abject performance. 100% pass completion, as well as being the most progressive player on the park. I’d imagine there will be a decent chance of him getting minutes against Liverpool in the cup midweek.
  5. Trainers are all safe, as is the baby! We had a 10 week scan a couple weeks back (our 12 week was due next week, but we’re away on holiday, so decided to go for an early one just to make sure things were okay). Heard the heartbeat, and saw the legs, arms and head all growing as they should. I think they’d grown about ten times the size in four weeks!
  6. Thought the exact same thing after hearing it on TalkSport for the 847583th time during an advert break the other day. Absolutely crazy.
  7. 118 24 7 give them a call its directory heaven.
  8. Had to go to A&E on Thursday as my partner had felt rough on the way to work. A couple hours in there, urine and bloods seemed to be okay, but a couple of her symptoms seemed to be inline with the possibility of a ectopic pregnancy so they referred us to the early pregnancy unit to have an early scan. Went this morning, and had the scan, and everything looks to be on track which was really emotional and lovely. My partner is a bit confused as by going from her period she thought she was 8 weeks, but from the measurements they did, they reckoned around 6 weeks and a few days. Showed us the heartbeat, so have breathed a sigh of relief! We have our first midwife appointment on Friday, but the 12 week scan will now be moved back to mid September. I am still in the midst of looking for a new job, really want to get that sorted as I am feeling a bit stressed out, but I am sure it will all work out.
  9. Posted elsewhere, but Andy Irving with a goal and assist in his first two pre-season fixtures with West Ham. Seemed the initial plan was to loan him out this season, but now looks like he will be taken to the States to play against Wolves & Crystal Palace which should give a better idea of where he is at. https://www.whufc.com/news/irving-be-involved-brilliant-and-im-loving-it
  10. Andy Irving with an assist and a goal in his first couple of pre-season games for West Ham. Certainly seems he’ll be given a chance to be in the squad for the upcoming season.
  11. There’s a blast from the past, I remember him as a youngster being on some programme where Ron Atkinson was a co-manager of a lower league club. Think they wanted to sell for decent money, but he was bit of a nob.
  12. I think that is the thing for me at the moment. Self admittedly, I am bit of a control freak and like to have a handle on what is going to be happening down the line, whereas this is very much out of my hands. She is great, very much taking it in her stride and probably giving me more reassurance at the moment. After having my phone snatched in London I lost all my contacts, so will need to reach out on LinkedIn or something to break the news! I do indeed, it's exactly what has got me into this situation. Thanks Many Thanks Yours Sincerely
  13. Well a thread I didn't envisage visiting a year ago, Started seeing my current partner in September last year, things have moved quickly with her moving in towards the end of January and finding out yesterday she is a couple of weeks pregnant. She had felt knackered most of last week, as well as having a few other tell tale signs. After a week missed period on Friday we did two tests and both were negative. However she was sick yesterday morning on her way to work and did a test on her way home, before flinging it in my direction when I picked her up. It was one of the digital ones and it showed as being pregnant 1-2 weeks. We had a spare test at home, which she did but that showed as not pregnant however she had downed a couple pints of water beforehand. We got another last night which she did first thing this morning and again it shows as being pregnant 1-2 weeks. Now the odd thing about it all is that she did a home fertility test around February, not that we were actively trying but she had some concerns about her fertility. Her results came back and all was okay, I then booked a spot to have a test at the local hospital, providing a sample etc (a somewhat embarrassing episode) and my count was low. I wasn't infertile, but it was a very low count, so if we wanted to go forward and start trying it was likely that we'd need some help. I think part of me always suspected this as I haven't had any pregnancy scares with previous partners etc. I am not sure if getting that result then turned off some internal stress that I maybe didn't quite realise, and that has in turn led to us finding ourselves here. I am excited, but also fucking terrified. We were starting to look at properties back in Scotland (we've been up a couple of times and she has fallen in love with the place) with the idea of moving in 12-18 months time. The company I currently work for have been taken over, and redundancy is on the horizon (probably have until end of September) but have a couple of interviews lined up which will hopefully give some form of security moving forward. I have always wanted children, as has she, but the reality of one being with us in less than a year feels incomprehensible at the moment. It almost doesn't feel real. We haven't told anyone as of yet, but I just needed to get this written down and hopefully get some advice!
  14. Started listening to Gossipmongers again today, David Earl and Joe Wilkinson now do Chatabix which is a brilliant listen but this was done beforehand (now finished). Some cracking tales, very much NSFW
