  1. Seems to be. If we were a nation of fitness lovers and teetotallers, then the gyms would be open and pubs shut
  2. True, it's in our dna to get drunk and eat fried food. But the people who frequent gyms seem to be getting punished unnecessarily at this point.
  3. I'd say 1 in 10 go to pose and perv. The rest go for the physical and mental health benefits. But lets get the country healthier to fight covid, open the pubs and keep the gyms closed. Makes no sense whatsoever. And we wonder why we have the levels of obesity and alcoholism that we do.
  4. We haven't crossed paths, post lockdown anyway. I cant pass a dog without going all "who's a good boy"
  5. If he is 6'3 ish lanky carrying a blue holdall then thats me
  6. How much were the NB shoes, they are sweet, love shoes in pastel colours
  7. Also you would probably smell the weed before you saw me, although I have cut down
  8. I know of the famous Renton, I would probably stop and whisper Shandon in your ear if I saw you
  9. I've always held the belief that no comedy should be censored, and every race or gender should be open for a ribbing. It's always sunny and Curb your enthusiasm are the best comedies around right now because Larry David and the Sunny folk don't care who is offended. It's comedy, If you are easily offended then don't watch. This cancel culture like most movements is like a big pile of shite rolling down a shite filled hill adding mass to the shite
  10. The water of leith walkway between Colinton and Slateford is a haven for drinkers I have noticed as I enjoy my evening walk with a medicinal smoke
  11. Cancer deaths are going to shoot up unfortunately, it's only a matter of time. There is a huge difference between dying of covid and dying with covid19 present. I can understand people being cautious, but media outlets have a lot to answer for with the scaremongering and panic driven headlines that as you have mentioned have no doubt stopped people with symptoms going to get check ups. Why build a temoorary hospital then not use it, surely covid patients could be treated there and patients with other illnesses treated in hospital. Seems the whole of the country has had there covid19 blinkers on and ignored every other illness or ailment. It may help reduce deaths at the present time but at what cost. Cancer survival rates will be decreasing throughout Europe
  12. 90% of clients are women usually looking to lose weight so it is hardly enterprising to do the routine in their garage or local park. Seems the point is being missed by a few here
  13. Not everyone is working and has the money or the space. I have a community card that gets me in the gym. Strength training really requires gym equipment and a spotter when doing heavy weights. Sure If you want to lose some fat and tone up, the gym isnt a necessity, but for those with certain fitness goals they are essential to achieving those goals.
  14. No not one bit . I went to college and got my Personal trainer qualification, then turned to heroin and other opiates for a number of years. For me I am at my happiest when working out, and it benefits me emotionally and physically and helps keep me clean so it is 100% a personal feeling of mine. I couldn't care less if something is rake thin or obese.
  15. As I have mentioned before the new normal may improve gyms. Book an hour slot, with 30 mins deep cleaning inbetween slots. Therefor those that like to pose will be forced to work out or waste their hour slot
  16. Also the mental health benifits gained from muscle growth in my own personal case are huge. Gives me a greater sense of well being. My endorphins are raised much more from a workout at the gym than a jog around the park
  17. I should have been clearer. Resistance training aimed more at strength and muscle growth. These require gym equipment, such as a bench, squat rack, olympic barbells, etc. I mix up training between hypertophy and strength training, it would cost far too much for me to get the same benefits at home.
  18. Yeh, lets forget about the mental health benefits of the gym. And don't give the exercise at home pish, resistance training isn't available at home to most
  19. They made a hash of it, scuse the pun. Would of been funnier, more realistic if the rabbit was on the booze. Weed = gouching on the couch
