Walking Down The Halbeath Road
Ayrpar replied to Parscelona's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
I wont be renewing my season ticket and will cease player shirt sponsorship if he is still here next season. -
Having watched Queens yesterday I thought they were Ok -certainly better than the Pars for 45 minutes and could easily have gone in 1-1 at half time except for a fantastic save. The one weak area I saw was the goalkeeper, his decision making looked a bit suspect. Will be a tough game for Ayr if they are really as bad as some posters make out.

Ayr v Dunfermline. Buzzing.

I watched Ayr v Dundee on Tuesday and until Dundee scored I thought Ayr more than matched them and indeed looked the more likely to score. Having said that it was difficult to tell as the camera work was so atrocious ! Game could end up going either way. -
Closed Doors Live Streaming, the verdict.

Interesting to read other views. I have watched virtually all of the Pars games home and away- bar the Hearts at Tynecastle -refused to pay £18.50. I also bought several games as a neutral where the fixture looked appealing. My views on the offerings are : Raith TV : excellent coverage / camera work/commentary a very well put together package Arbroath TV : decent coverage and excellent commentary, good interviews thrown in Ayr TV : usually OK'sh with very good co-commentator however I bought Ayr v Dundee on Tuesday and it was virtually unwatchable -easily the worst of the season Morton TV : Andy Ritchie's expert analysis was a breath of fresh air- told it as it was. ICT: inevitably the worst camera position and dull commentary QoS/Alloa OK -

I am actually worried that we are heading for 7th/8th in the league. This is not a sudden issue, as others have said our performances have been poor/very poor /dreadful since the end of November. I actually think we need to make the change now, we cant afford to wait till the end of the season. -

To me , he sounds like he doesn't know why we lost it nor how to rectify it. I have listened to the interview a few times and read it. Looking back at the highlights we could have lost that 2/3 nil. A fairly average ICT team created more and better chances than we did. Its very worrying because I dont feel we have an creative attacking midfielder in the whole squad. -
Watching our highlights I think we were lucky to get away with only losing 1-0. The fact OFW won MoM speaks volumes. We really struggled to apply any pressure in the final third. If that was a one off I wouldn't be worried, except that has been the case for almost four months now with a few notable exceptions.

"Wilson 10 times the player" Wow, you are having a laugh surely. Wilson rarely passes the ball forwards which is a big part of the role of an attacking CM. Wilson is much more comfortable looking passing the ball square or backwards, watch him more closely. Turner had pace to burn which none of the alternatives do, I really dont think a central midfield of Wilson and Whitaker can be described as attack minded. -

Do players away on international duty have to self isolate on return depending on country played in ? -

There has to be more behind this than has been revealed. On the face of it it is a "you cant be serious" moment. Turner is our best ( only) attacking central midfielder. -
Dunfermline Athletic v Greenock Morton

Whitaker and Wilson in centre mid-therein lies our problem no pace and no forward going creativity -

Re Moffat , the guy has one of the best footballing brains I have seen in many years. I loved him when he played with the Pars. I know he has gym interests but I suspect he would make an excellent coach ( dont know if he has started any badge work) but he could make a great foil to a more experienced manager in my opinion. -

Thought the commentators on the stream were really good. One of them sounded strangely like Graham Spiers the journalist. -
Dunfermline Athletic vs Alloa Athletic

Waspie. I and the Pars fans I speak to would agree 100% with your analysis. Its a pity too many fellow Pars fans are content with performances like that which, with a few notable exceptions, are the norm this season. -

You can count on one hand the number of games where our performances have been acceptable across the 90 minutes. To-day we completely lost our way after we opened the scoring. Very lucky to come off with all three points. -
Dunfermline Athletic vs Alloa Athletic
Ayrpar replied to DA Baracus's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Completely but sadly agree. Central midfield was non existent , apart from the two goals we created nothing else. BBC says we managed two corners to their eight. Alloa certainly had more and better scoring chances. My patience with Crawford is virtually exhausted. Alloa deserved a point at least. -

I think we will have dropped out the Top 4 by mid February sadly. If we were set up to win games then surprisingly we actually might win one. -
I watched it as an interested observer and agree that the coverage and commentary were both excellent.

In what was a poor game I thought Ayr looked the team more likely to score. You were on the front foot from the off . However, games like that and the one at Somerset would get football stopped. Entertainment value zero. -

Absolutely Islay. We didnt get a single shot on target yesterday . We didnt get a single shot on target against Morton away last week. That means in 180 minutes we didnt test the opposition keeper. That therefore puts pressure on our defence not to put a foot wrong I do think it stems from the ultra cautious approach adopted by Crawford. -

Anyway, slightly changing topic, I will not be giving Hearts £18 to watch their feed next week . First game of the season I will have missed. Looking forward to a break from watching the subdued, limp performances we have been offering. The team needs to come out of hiding and offer themselves up for the ball.
