Looks like a temp fix though which is complete bollocks.
Agreed. While I'm not really a fan of any reconstruction, I would accept it if it came to that. I would not accept temporary reconstruction just to suit Hearts.

Here’s my humble opinion.
I’d release Thomson and McGurn (as a player, keep as coach). Munro is out of contract at Ross County and he can only get better. Remember McGurn when he was young at Morton? Hardly a star and look how he turned out.
Davo has some role to play, probably as a backup but I could see him, Bene and Sando being our back three if McGlynn goes back to it’s. I’d like to see Mendy given a chance in preseason, whenever that will be. MacDonald and Miller need to stay, but we need a backup LB if Watson departs. Victoria will definitely be away, and as much as it hurts to say, I can’t see Anderson being here either, as much as I want him to stay. Matthews is nail on to get an extension, and if I’m not mistaking Spencer is under contract. If the Armstrong who came in last season is the Armstrong we get in the Championship, then 100% he stays. If Allan has recovered from his illness then McGlynn will probably give him a chance. Tait, Coulson and Smith will be most likely be given sub appearances in the Championship. Baird won’t be here, but I hope MacLean will be.I agree RE Davo. I still think he's more than capable in a back 3. From what the young players say about him, he sounds like he's a good role model (if you can believe that). Even if he's kept in some kind of backup role, I still think he has a part to play.

Well, offered a face to face chat, which knowing my sarcasm, would lead to violence. Forgot to show my working...I'm no fan of Fife's Finest, but you can't claim you've been threatened by them if they've not even spoken to you. Embarrassing stuff.

Can we let this thread die please.

The logic of these Fife roasters is amazing.
Falkirk are 'rancid', 'shite', and 'ropey', yet their superstars drew 2-2 with them.
Some thought lads please before you go making a cock of yourselves ('yourselfs' is not a word).
Of course teams are going to call you rancid etc when you fail to beat 'rubbish' teams again and again; your fans have brought this on yourselves.
Also, coming back 2-0 down against a team who are favourites for the league isn't your standard, run-of-the-mill draw imo.

Although not ideal, surely that is a better scenario than his ACL being fucked again, he’ll still be out for a while but it might not be the precursor for retirement!!!Feel like even if this isn't an ACL tear, another serious injury is always on the horizon for him. I feel sorry for him, he has the quality, imo, to be playing at a far higher level than Raith. I really hope he does someday.

Any excuse for a dig, perhaps if the keeper had held The initial header, or if we’d stopped the guy getting the free header from the corner ?
but naw let’s blame the easy target again, wonder who’ll get it when he retires ?
Davo could win the Ballon D'or and he'd still get dogs abuse here.

Few positive selection dilemmas for McGlynn for a change. Decisions to make in a few positions (if Bowie and Davidson are fit).
Munro or McGurn? Which 2 out of Davo/Bene/Anderson at centre back? Does he bring Vaughan in from the start? Does Gullan go straight back in?
I would go with:
Munro
Miller-Bene-Anderson-MacDonald
Spencer-Hendry
Anderson-Vaughan-Bowie
Allan
Munro had his best game for us on Saturday and looked comfortable. McGurn hasn’t been terrible but I think Munro did enough to get another chance.
I thought Davo was having a good game before he went off. Probably best Bene has played in a while too. Think Anderson needs to start though so Bene gets the nod based on the fact I don’t think Davo will be 100%.
I was really impressed with Tait last weekend but it’s a no brainer, if Vaughan is fit to start he has to. If Bowie isn’t fit then Gullan should come back in but if everyone is fit I prefer Bowie and Anderson wide.
No matter what team is picked it’ll be nice to have a couple of potentially game changing options on the bench.
I'd personally pick Davo over Bene.

Changed days from the dogs abuse yous gave him in the play offs
There's no denying he's a good player, but he's also a bit of an arse that rubs the fans up the wrong way. Personally never had much of a problem with him when he was elsewhere.

I'm talking about appointing him when Smith left not now, we will stick with McGlynn as we are beyond skint.
Because I'm sick fed up of the same old faces doing the rounds, McGlynn included. Robson is a coach at Aberdeen, doing well. He has numerous contacts in the game to encourage players to come to the club, loan players from Aberdeen and maybe Celtic and others. He would come in with fresh ideas and maybe just maybe she how crap our central defence really is. He would come in with no loyalty to any players and you never know may put us in a position to have got us promoted last season. McGlynn failed the only fulltime team in the league with several of his own players brought in from his appointment. He also had several months to improve us and the same mistakes continue to happen.
Are you Robson?

What's everyones view on McGylnns post match interview?
All credit to the interviewer for keeping a cool calm head and trying to continue with his interview, I get the frustration with this result but no need to speak to anyone never mind someone who gives up his time to give us a fantastic covarge of the Rovers.
I just saw your post on twitter about it, unacceptable in my opinion. These guys are volunteers and the amount of work they put in probably accounts to that of a second job. McGlynn is in the wrong here and hope he apologises.

He was under contract til the end of this season, with a clause allowing him to speak to other clubs should we not be promoted. There is definitely money due.
This. Compensation wasn't agreed between the two clubs, therefore it goes to tribunal to decide what's a fair price for the player.

There’s a tribunal?Well you never paid us for him while he was under contact, so it'll go to a court? where it's decided how much we're owed.

Has there been any updates on the tribunal for Nisbet?

We needed to punt Davo but haven't.
Davo has looked a LOT better this season with a mobile defence infront of him.

This tournament is nothing more than a pre season, so lets preserve with Mendy and allow him the 4 games to get up to pace.
I don't understand the clamour for a right back - we've got Watson and McKay don't we? and Miller as cover?
We do have Watson and McKay, but McKay isn't great at RB and McGlynn doesn't seem to favour Watson at all.

Assuming you don't get something ridiculous like 15 long-term injuries, it's almost a certainty you will walk the league now. A lot of your players would do a really decent job in the championship.

McKay is fine at RB, but would much prefer a natural, maybe someone in the loan market.
I have to disagree, he is not a good option at RB. He looked constantly out of position and was often standing in the middle of nowhere. I don't know if Watson is the solution either tbh. I think a loan would be best if possible.

Know this is probably not the time to ask, but why does Andy Mill sit in the directors box? Thought his 'campaign' pledge was to sit in the south stands and listen to the complaints and suggestions of the regular fans?

This is true, but I imagine the 'notes of interest' is being used because the 15th of the month hasn't come by yet? i.e. that is 180 people emailing the club for the bank details to set it up? Surely almost all people who have actually emailed for the bank details will sign up!?
I also think that the 'true' year one number of people signed up will be clearer come 15th of August/15th of Sept after the competitive home games start and people start talking/encouraging their pals/people who sit by them to get involved...
Oh wait you had to send it on the 15th?! I sent mines the first day I could (the third i think).

180 notes of interest for the raith fund now, you'd imagine that would be close to paying the wages of 1 player. Good effort so far.
