I see that’s the launch of the Raith Supporters Fund today on the official site. I didn’t previously contribute to the Development Fund but I’m certainly going to contribute to this. The target should be achievable and would no doubt be of great assistance to the club. I suppose it could be the difference between being able to get guys like Bowie or not in the future. I’ll probably give £20 or £25 a month but it is only a £10 a month minimum, which I’m sure not too many on here would really miss. Would be fantastic if everybody on here could sign up and give something for the benefit of the club.

I'd far rather forego a Netflix and Spotify subscription and contribute to the Rovers' short and long term future. I don't  go to as many games as I would like to, and in a way I see this as being my season ticket.

I've not the slightest doubt but any man who threatens 500+ employees with redundancy if the vote goes a certain way is not a fit and proper sponsor for the competition.

Football and Politics should never been mixed (same with religion) imo. Does my head in folk get so wound up about these things.

Bit of a lack of respect for Iain Davidson. How many games has he played for Raith, over how many years?

You'd better hope he's not looking in...

He's closing in on 450 games and if he signs again, will be 13? i think. I don't think he can start every game now, but he'd be good as cover and for the odd game here and there. He's not as bad as folk here make you believe.

Certainly hasn't had a fantastic time at Raith and at 34 has a few more miles on the clock. In his defence, I don't think their style of play ever really suited him and I don't think it's been a great place to play for a good while now. They didn't get anywhere near as much out of Dario either for example.

Buchs never relied on blistering pace with us but a great footballing brain and a cool head. Won't have lost either of those. Was also renowned as a good pro who looked after himself. So while he is getting on a bit, he should fit into the established nucleus of really good part-time players that we have. If he stays fit and the manager gets good younger legs (on loan probably) around him, then this could work out nicely. A bit like Alan Trouten last season.

And memories of his last season are so good that I'd welcome him back even if he was 50. Let's hope there are more to come.

You're right he didn't fit in with how we played, particularly in the first season. Saying that he was still our second highest goalscorer this season. Whether or not he actually plays, I imagine he'll be good for your dressing room and helping with the young guys. Good luck to him and yous next season.
