I might be wrong but I've probably already jinxed a 3-2 Aberdeen ft score.

I guess the whole training and drills is just a distraction incase the opposition is watching and thinks we are actually going to play well.

I think cup games are different. It's a once off tie so the baggage with the league is left to the side for 90/120 minutes plus penalties if required. Additionally it is about £10 cheaper than the league game tickets so I bet some families will be coming down for the game. However I think this game is the stoppable force mets the moveable object. Whoever wins will get some confidence and could help start a true run in the scottish cup. The other will be left with no confidence and having to face the next game at the same location. My heart says 2-0 Well but my head says 1-2 for Aberdeen.

Out of the 3 must win games we have already lost one. The next 2 games against Aberdeen are crucial if we want to save the rest of the season. A win in the cup takes us one more step closer to Hampden (with a possible 3rd round at home) and will the teams around us playing each other a win would help both with the mood and position in the league. Aberdeen have thier game in hand so the could be only 1 point behind before our league game. The only real hope that I have is the fact we have a relatively good home record (combined with an abysmal away record) so I do hope for 2 wins but I won't expect it.

Time to put those passports away everyone. I see no way that we make the top 6 this season. I doubt we could even beat Aberdeen since they didn't just roll over to celtic at home. Its really depressing that all the hard work at the beginning of the season is unravelling and we are basically going to have nothing to play for.

So I do hope we are going to put a performance this time. I was dissapointes the last time we went to Tannadice so maybe we will get something this time.

Ross county now closer to 4th than to st Johnstone in 11th

The results today have been both very helpful as well as terrible. Neither Hibs, Dundee United and Aberdeen have pick up full points but on the other hand it leaves us only 6 points ahead of 10th Ross County. if we win against Celtic (nice Joke) then that can help widen the gap whilst the teams below us will have to play each other. Lose and we are dangerously getting close to lossing a top 6 finish. We really need to get something out of tomorrow and begin picking up the victories.

So no one can buy a win in the top half (besides the top 3). Makes the draw against St Mirren a much more valuable point. Still means that there's only 6 points between 4th to 10th now.

So who's going to sign Charles Cook on a pre contract now? Only 6 points between us (motherwell) in 4th and County in 10th. Surely County should be targeting a top half finish now?

Its probably the policy for the old firm matches. You need to have been to previous games outside the old firm to get a ticket tk avoid the Rangers or celtic fans buying tickets for the home end. Doesn't always work as you will get the few who get in the main stand (but then get punted out after the first away goal).

We really should have won the 2-2 game if our chronic ability to screw ourselves (along with a ref who decides saving penalties doesn't count) However I don't think we will win away from home. Its 2 wins on the road this season (3 if you include Queens park). Which is extremely disappointing.
