To go a goal behind and to not give up was pleasing to see. We cant win every game and still in third so a great nights work.
This.
The boys went behind for the first time this season and, albeit with a bit of luck, got themselves back into the game which shows great character.

I can only comment on the game from after the goal as that’s only where I saw from.
Thought County were pretty poor on the ball for the majority of the game. Lots of slack passes and just all round sloppy play. I thought we were fairly solid defensively for the majority; first goal was not the defence’s fault as I have no idea what Vigurs was even trying to do. Second goal was a great ball through to Burke (can’t mind who played it)but Laidlaw should’ve done better at his near post.
For the last 20 I personally felt we looked a lot better on the ball and there was an intent to actually keep it instead of hitting the channel every time. The penalty is very harsh and if I was a Killie fan/player I would be very annoyed about it but I’m not so I’m not very annoyed about it. Last 10 mins could’ve gone either way and both teams had decent chances to win it but over the piece a draw probably does seem fair.

My stream was alright quality wise (and I was running off a laptop with fairly poor graphics) but I didn’t get on originally as I had two accounts in my name for some strange reason.

Exact same for me, it worked for the pre-season preview yet isn’t working now?

Still isn’t even letting me log in. This is a joke.

Is there a specific time window to log in by pre match? Just tried logging in just now and it won’t let me; is that because i’m logging on too early.
Apologies if this is a daft question just need help as I haven’t used the streaming service apart from the season preview yet this season.
Surely someone can provide an answer; is this happening for everyone?0 -

Davis Keilor-Dunn has signed for Oldham.
Always rated him. Good luck to the kid.4 -
I wouldn't be dropping Tillson based on his first two weeks, looks a totally different player than last year.
He’s been brilliant. Always looking to take the ball from the back 4 + keeper and play forward. Completely different player to Draper so you couldn’t possibly take him out for Draper.0 -
As I’ve said before, Erwin is not a winger so I’d like to see Mullin starting on Wednesday as he did make a difference on Saturday. There may be a couple of changes purely because of some early fixture congestion but hopefully we see a very similar squad.
Would take a draw as I thought Killie were extremely solid defensively yesterday against Celtic and I can probably see another low-scoring game.0 -
There's a brief analysis on County, and their new set up, on Twitter just now, if you're into that sort of thing.
Good thread. One thing I have noticed in our games that your man also picks up on is our distribution from the centre backs. I have been really impressed with how Coll and Iacovitti have used the ball this season; always looking for a forward pass and not just shelling it up the line.0 -
From the highlights, Paton looks a pretty essential part of the midfield, and Erwin looks wasted playing where he is.
Erwin is a striker that you sub on when you’re 1-0 down against a team that you’re struggling to keep the ball against so you can just batter it up to him and he can hold it in. My only criticism of Ketts this season is the fact he persists on starting Erwin wide right when Mullin and RCC are on the bench.0 -
Six points, two clean sheets. Could do with some more goals, but very chuffed with our performances so far. How much of that was Motherwell and Hamilton being pish? Maybe too early to tell. The stream was brutal, couldn't get it to stay above 404p and the website completely logged me out twice. Won't be paying the £15 to Hamilton again this season, that's for sure.
Definitely agree about needing more goals but the pleasing thing is the team are creating a lot of chances so ultimately the goals will come.
We played through the midfield very well today and used the extra man in there. The back 4 looked sturdy and Reid was excellent again. I like the way Stewart is dropping deep to drive with the ball and thought he was good today, and a typical Billy Mckay finish after the keeper made a whoore of a cross.
You now look at our next couple of fixtures; Killie and United at home are winnable games so we are looking very positive.1 -
Stop the league now. COVID-19 outbreak in Aberdeen is far too close to us and should put the league in doubt. County into Europe.

Think we’ve looked alright. Good passing through the midfield and we’re pressing Hamilton fairly high up the park too. Expect Hamilton to change formation because we’re getting through their midfield a bit too easy and Erwin had a decent chance which should’ve been finished. Here’s hoping...

Exact same lineup as Monday.

I’d like to see County start like this.
Laidlaw
Randall Donaldson Iacovitti Reid
Vigurs Paton Kelly
Mullin Mckay Stewart
Laidlaw looked excellent v M’well the other day. Came and collected everything and made one or two good reaction stops. No reason to drop him.
Randall showed a couple of decent glimpses but at times looked a bit of a headless chicken. However it was his first competitive game and has a good calibre so I believe he’ll come good. Coll and Iacovitti are young for a starting pairing so I would prefer if Morris started alongside Coll but i’m unsure if he’ll be fit or not. Coll has this tendency to follow his man right out of his position which could be a problem if Accies play two up top. Reid was excellent on Monday and again there’s no reason to drop him.
Controversial midfield but I feel it’s a game we can dominate the ball and whilst most people would have Paton in a bit more of an advanced role, I believe he has the tenacity and bite to play in that holding role and definitely has the ability to play a penetrating pass in behind from deep. Vigurs will look to dictate the tempo and Kelly seems like a very energetic player so the extra man in the middle could help us win the midfield battle.
Personally thought Erwin started alright on Monday but looked burst after about 30 mins. He’s absolutely not a winger though, so I think Mullin should definitely start wide right because there’s no doubt in my mind he’s our best winger. Mckay often looks isolated playing on his own up top but his experience against a young Accies centre back pairing could lead to a cheeky tap in. Hopefully we see the same Ross Stewart as we did on Monday and I’m confident he can create some chances.
Delighted I payed the £15 (FIFTEEN) for the stream tomorrow and I’m quietly confident of getting a result tomorrow, despite our poor record away at NDP.
(P.S. I am aware County are charging £15 for their PPV before I get abuse for that)0 -
I’d think a fast start from 6 games would lend to momentum as opposed to getting beatdowns from the OF before heading into other matches where losses could make things spiral.
Just my take
Yeah I can completely understand what you’re saying and I guess it is important to gather momentum at the start of the season. I’d personally rather get the tougher ones out the way to start with but as I say it probably does work both ways.1 -
Being at home to Motherwell, Killie, DU whilst away to hotly tipped relegation rivals Accies and St Mirren does give us the opportunity to either do well or not. Ultimately, everyone has to play everyone so not sure if it makes much of a difference tbh.
This. If anything I think it gives us a disadvantage because if we’re playing the so-called easier teams first then that means we have all the tougher teams in short proximity to each other.
The Ross County European Train sponsored by Global Energy is merely passing through Hamilton and crushing to a 7/8-0 win. Ross Stewart probably score them all etc.1 -
Charles-Cook giving me Simon Power vibes though. Hopefully that was just first game nerves from him.
Should’ve scored like but I did not mind the snap he put in at the end.0 -
On paper this County squad is a lot stronger than I first anticipated. We actually have 3-4 people on the bench tonight who could come on and have an influence in the game.

I just bought my season ticket today does fhis mean I wont get my login details for rcfc until it is delivered
I’m pretty sure you won’t get today’s game; certain I saw something saying Saturday was the last day you can buy a season ticket and see today’s game. Hope i’m wrong though.0 -
Doohan
Randall Watson Donaldson Tremarco
Vigurs Draper
Mullin Kelly Charles-Cook
Stewart
That is my guess. I hope Patons starts ahead of Draper because I believe he can be excellent as a roaming midfielder. That’s a good side on paper, no doubt it won’t start like that though.0 -
I liked a couple of things but going to leave them alone for the first few weeks to see how things pan out. I would’ve gone with...
• Aberdeen 1+ Goal and 1+ Card (1/1)
• Hibs Over 1.5 Team Goals (6/5)
Aberdeen never looked like scoring but Hibs score their usual 2+ goals at home. Would’ve just been in profit and no more so not too annoyed i didn’t take these.0
Ross County v Dundee United

He’s a bit of a key in the County team. Does a lot of the dirty work and is excellent at holding the ball up and linking play. Also very good in the air and fairly strong considering his build.
Is Shankland back for this game? Could be a pretty big deciding factor.
I was personally pretty disappointed with us against Killie. I thought we were really sloppy on the ball and poor decision making cost us another 2 points.
Having watched United against Hibs the other day, United were probably unlucky not to get something out of the game. They pressed Hibs really well in the first half and forced Hibs to hammer a lot of channel balls that didn’t work. Hibs changed shape though and United became a bit unstuck so I can see us matching up in midfield. I can also see Draper keeping his place as I thought he was our best player last night and we need someone to fight with Butcher.
I’m going to be positive and say another game where we don’t lose. If Shankland plays, I think we could have a 1-1 draw but without him I’ll go 1-0 County.
