I'd been thinking the same thing recently about Davidson.
What's the story there anyway? I must have missed something amongst the mass of updates we get....
It's more than that though. There seems to be a total lack of confidence.
It took a few weeks longer than I thought, but a few of my pre season fears seem to be coming true.
I thought the squad needed a bit more quality. We pretty much stuck with the same squad. Lewis Milne has been an OK addition but Dale Hilson doesn't seem to have done much.
I thought the defence was too slow and we could do with improvement but we've stuck with last seasons' and been exposed.
There also seems to be an assumption that we could play the same way as last season and I think we've been far too open at times.
We just have to hope they can sort it out.
Dont be so hard on your team lads this is a very difficult league and as I've said before Falkirk and Hamilton apart there is absolutely nothing between any of the rest of the teams , sure we all might have an off day and get a good going over but majority of the time it's a late goal , individual error , gk howler that turns the games , brilliant league and a hard to be involved in , would you have taken where you are right now at start if the season I bet you would've , we are only 1 point better off than we were last season at this stage , game less played , 7 goals better off and 4 places higher and we feel like we are pushing for playoffs whereas last season felt like a relegation battle all season , leagues just mental

Very competitive game as expected. Cove just having a bit more cutting edge than us.
On to Dumfries next week where I fancy us for a win.
Aye they came out the traps fast neeb , first 20 we were chasing shadows and they got their goal , good finish but how he managed to get it away with 3/4 defenders at him , we grew into the game but did think Cove took their foot off the pedal a bit , second half it was a much improved performance from us but no real threat up top till last 10 , still a good competitive game to watch , onwards and upwards

Next up Cove , they are hitting a bit of form so should be a tough game as they all are here , 2-0 up at Cove and let it slip but would've taken it before a ball was kicked , they beat Hamilton last week so anything from here would be welcome

Entertaining game. We dominated possession but Annan always looked dangerous going long to Goss all the time. He's a handful for sure! Bavidge & O'Donnell were very good again. Felt we should have won on the balance of play & chances but Annan will feel the draw was fair too probably.
Gourlay again with question marks for the 2nd Annan goal.
Didn't go down today but would've taken a point before kick off , neebur says we probably could've won but draw just about fair , never mentioned Gourley and he's no got much time for him now either

Should've had the game at Kelty all done n dusted by halftime but didn't , Annan much better second half and got a deserved late equaliser, close one to call but if we perform like we can should hopefully get a narrow victory ,barring Falkirk and Hamilton there is absolutely nowt between any of the teams in this league and every point is a prisoner

Robertson been released by Linfield , rumours drugs involved , decent player too

Remember a tasty cup tie at Central park but maybe your right. Would have been good to see Higgy back & Dean Brett & the ex Rose boys were always good for a bit of bite.
I can only remember the 1/4 final of F&L cup at Tranent where we got beat 2-1 just before we left the juniors , sure Tranent won it that year ?? Ritchie got our goal , always good for a goal Brain Ritchie was

Nae luck Hamilton away.
What's happening at the club website ? Latest result Dumbarton 1-3 Kelty, league table stuck at everyone played five games, no player stats for the season.
Aye not an ideal choice but leagues gotta be their priority this season so you just never know
website appears to be a bit neglected but we don't have the media team we once had I don't think and also highlights the work Dean put into the club when here , look at Raith now

Scottish cup draw in a wee bit. Home tie against Dunbar would be nice

Might be wrong but if the pens given its not an automatic red now. If its a freekick for a clear goalscorer opportunity then its a red. Takes away the double punishment. See the Bayern Munich game the other night for a few examples
You're not wrong neeb seen it in a Sunday league game other week , boy chopped attacking player down just outside the box , straight red , ref told him had he done it in box it would've been a pen and a yellow

Can't believe we are sitting 3rd at the moment after 11 games absolutely amazing stuff from the lads , not counting chickens yet and survival in the league is still the main priority but we can maybe start thinking why can't we make promotion play offs it's just a big free for all after Falkirk and Hamilton

Not being funny but these results surely in the cup should be the opening up of the league trap door for automatic relegation for club 42

Probably my fault lads I had East Fife on ma coupon sorry

Could've had my bathroom all painted today but opted for this , so glad , you just can't beat a last minute winner , had stonewall draw written all over it as that's as poor I've seen us all season , sending off played a big part in us picking up all 3 points but not complaining , just flip a coin for the next game

Think it might well be @Kelheart. Have to say that Kelty have impressed me so far this season, and I thought you played well at Forthbank. Like many, I thought you were destined for League 2 with your reduced budget but Tidser seems to have assembled a good squad through there.
Was equally impressed with a well organised Stirling team compared two our meetings in League 2 , will be highs and lows for both us this season but certainly not the worse two teams to be watching this season , hope it's a decent game but would also take a shite game and a last minute winner for us

Next up the mighty Stirling Albion visit Kelty, Stirling edging us out with a late winner at Forthbank last time out but couldn't get a fag paper between us performance wise that day so surely another tight affair coming up, we just need to tighten up at the back as we are scoring goals

Cunningham has been really good this season & will be frustrated that he's not starting. Stef likely more suited to a sub role though I think. Would imagine we have agreed playing time clauses with Bavidge & O'Donnell in their loan deals, who luckily have decent.
Acht am just nit picking actually really neeb enjoying watching us this season , not going to win all our games but the way we concede sometimes is pish and preventable , still would've took your hand off for this position at this stage in the season before a ball was kicked

Corbett rightly our Mom today don't see why he can't go into CH to give JT a break , put Billy Owens out to RB , would also like to see Cunningham start in place of O'Donnell and McKluskey in for Bavidge to give us extra body in midfield , give the young loanees a wee stint in the bench and get our own players starting , O'Donnel and Bavidge both been more than decent by the way but Cunningham and McKluskey haven't done anything wrong to be bench warmers either

Tough day at the office. Still really competitive but Owens is super raw in there & Jason (as much as I hate to say it it) is massively slowing down in recent games. Still creating chances & great possession but definitely too leaky at the back.
No complaints on effort but as you say defensively we are getting punished down the centre, Thomson is getting caught out a bit now
