Off topic question but I can remember when Dumbarton were in the top league and did they ever play in the televised five or six aside games or is this just my old fart brain jumbling shit up ?? Best of luck tonight both teams , would prefer Dumbarton as took us far too long to get the upper hand with Spartans

No new signings yet wtf is going on at our club , if I was to have a wish list it would be
LB. Brodie Paterson signs permanently
RB ,CH. Adam Corbett resigns
CH , Tam Oware resigns
CM, Reece Lyon resigns
RW , Agyeman comes back
CF , Jordan Allan would do nicely
add them to the already signed , few young ones and loans that would be not too bad

If the season was over the last 18 games then we would have finished top which includes 4 disasters performances against (Stranraer, Forfar (2) and Elgin) so dont think there is much change needdc to win the league next year.
Edinburgh City will be coming down and will likely be at the bottom end next year and Stirling Albion may put up a bit of a challenge.
Unlike the last couple of seasons would look to hold onto most of the squad and just add better quality with new additions.

Cant comment on reserve goalie Kennedy as not seen play.
So probably means space for 7 or 8 new additions. RB and LB, 2 wingers, 2 forwards, someone creative just off forwards.
As for potential names
Havent a clue about 2 full backs. But as long as they can stop a cross and deliver a cross will do for me.
Like the winger that plays for East Fife .
For forwards 2 from; Elgins big number 9 that played yesterday has always caused us problems, even though fouls all the time Stenny's no9 Matty Aitken, or perhaps Blair Henderson from Spartans or Nathan Austin from East Fife.
For the pocket somone like Dylan Easton. Like Spartans player Rhys Armstrong.
If EC can keep all their players I don't think they will be at the bottom , they are actually really decent and will cause teams a few headaches , most of their games there wasn't a lot in it , just a wee heads up neeb

Thomson retires. Solid two seasons from him overall. Probably the right decision as although his experience has been invaluable he was starting to slow down too much. Thanks for solidifying us in league 1 Thommo.
Campbell also away. Decent young keeper who needs 1st team games. Could well make it elsewhere though.
Excited to see who Tids brings in.
Yip no complaints about Thomson always gave it all , young Campbell never really got a chance but to be fair was probably a little out his depth at this level , hope he proves me wrong , hopefully we manage to get Lyon and Corbett tied up and Paterson for that matter for next season would also take Odonell and Bavidge back on loan but think they will be Championship bound if not in and around first team , defo need someone up top to complement Johnstone , just buzzing to still be competing in this league as Stirling showed yesterday it's a very fine line between league 1 and 2 , also hoping Shearer , Mcgiffen , Garvie can build on getting into the squad and show they are good enough for first team action , that would be the icing on the cake to be getting academy players filtering through so soon

Great highlights , and commentary, is Dolan going to be ok for next week as he looked your main threat before pulling up ? Still all to play for for both teams

Hard lines lads was never going to be easy but pushed them all the way

Hard lines lads , I put it down to you thumping 5 past us and don't think you did much after that , soak it up move on, next season just round the corner and a possible title challenge on the cards this is our level and it's very very fine margins , not great just now but come July the buzz will be back

All the best to Dougie could turn out to be a great appointment, can still put on the boots if necessary, has a lot of contacts I'm sure for players and did a wee stint as assistant at us for wee bit experience, excellent attitude and commitment to whoever he's been at , awe the best Dougie

Jeezo, that's a bit of a stretch ... check back in when we know who the new manager is, when we know what players he's recruited and whether or not the rumours are that we are FT or not.
Just trying to jinx you guys already neeb I fully expect our 12 points a season from you guys

Seen Stranraer in pre season and been down when played them in the league , wish them all the best but may the best team win that's what it comes down to not history or plastic pitches or he spent this and she spent that they are both where they are because they deserve to be

Cunningham now signed up for next season. That makes the below so far:
Gourlay. Moore. CJ. Cunningham. Tidser.
Got to think given the atmosphere & good end to the season that many will be keen to stay.
Think if Corbett , Oware and McKluskey resign then the backbone of the team is decent but defo needing a strong (Forster type) CB, better competition for GK , a 6ft 5 prolific mobile striker all on the books as well , Tids proven already he can pick a loan player but who knows just overjoyed at not only better performances on the pitch this season and the higher league position but the fact we get to go again in a very competitive league , yes there were a few pumpings but all a learning curve for Tids in his first year and overall he's gotta be proud of what he's achieved this season

Poor from us today so far. We must bring in another CB next season, after McKay went off we had two centre mids at the back basically.
Still created plenty, just pish defensively.
Couldn't make today pal but still we are the 28th best team in Scotland , been pish without Tam at the back neeb and honestly thinking Gourlay needs a better challenge for No1 spot

Best of luck today Stranraer seen you guys in pre season up at Kelty and you looked a decent outfit , must just be one of those seasons but best of luck today

Down to the wire, best of luck to both teams today and genuinely think whoever is in the playoff will have too much for the teams they will face
Good luck

Can't see this one being a classic , we went out of the playoff challenge with a bit of a whimper last week , boys have done great this season but looked a bit done and looking forward to a well deserved break , can see Tids hopefully giving some of the young lads some game time and the likes of Biabi, Cunningham, Billy Owens all starting , get Moore , Oware and Tids wrapped up in cotton wool ready to go again next season
On another note if you guys do go up don't hesitate to send Owens and McGlynn back to us so we can help them develop both been great additions to our team this season

Also meant to add when did Sid The Sexist start getting a game up front for you guys ?? Some mullet that like

Well done Montrose , we could've still been playing and still not scored , took your goals well and to be fair kept us at arms length quite comfortably, still a great season from Tids and the lads though a lot better than I anticipated at the start of the season
Well done Kelty

How was Higgy overall for you guys this season ? Still felt he could've been with us another year

Can't see a thread despite it being Saturday morning, so here goes.
Massive game for both teams given that Kelty still have an outside chance of making the playoffs, but particularly for the Mo who are running out of (some decent, but blown) chances to make it a truly successful season by reaching the playoffs again.
Kelty have been on a great run of form, whereas the Mo are having their worst quarter of the season, only one win in the last seven (Cove). Seems fatigue has set in, too many key players injured, squad not deep enough to cope - yet there is always good hope and history that this team can put in a great performance when it does really matter, especially when Away.
Without checking the stats, Montrose have a pretty good record at Kelty (and the other way around at Links Park).
No idea what is going to happen, looking forward to it....
Looking forward to this today , really don't know how we still have a sniff at the playoffs but we do and hopefully the boys can get the result which will take the last playoff spot to the last day of the season , great wee end to the season for teams involved but a heart attack waiting to happen for us fans , all the best for today and may the best team win (us hopefully )
