  1. Not if the Juniors are to join the pyramid. For example if BSC, Stirling Uni or Cumbernauld are relegated from LL, they would presumably go into the West SL Premier, even if no club is promoted out of it. There's plenty 'ifs, buts and mebbes' to sort out, particularly in the East.
  2. Its like a game of Chinese whispers: Person mis-hears discussion at meeting and passes it on. A single licencing committee (where new applications won't be accepted) becomes a 'moratorium' before the status is upped to an 'embargo' which is then escalated to an outright 'ban' on applications to the EoS - none are true. Implementation in season 19/20 is exaggerated to season 18/19, and it takes a measured email from the SFA to reassure everyone that, back in the real world, nothing much has changed.
  3. The way I read it the bit in bold refers to two new applications. LTHV will have applied a while ago and already worked through the licensing administration. I think this Committee (April) would be the last one before next season - So if they've met the requirements and it is approved they'll be good to go up, if they win the league. Maybe they'll wait until next week to confirm the outcome!
  4. ...until July 2018 - Hardly an embargo is it?
  5. Are you sure about that? It says 'The Scottish Junior Football Association Ltd' on their website but there's no company number, and it doesn't seem to be registered with Companies House.
  6. It's like Alan Partridge pitching to that BBC Exec for radio Norwich. Ridiculous. "Idea for a pyramid..."
  7. Apologies - it's possible, same for Penicuik - but unlikely as they'd need to win every game to get 65 pts which probably wouldnt quite be enough. Kelty won the league with 65 but played 28 games. And it would rely on a monumental collapse by others...
  8. The only East Junior clubs playing in the Scottish Cup next year will be Linlithgow and Bonnyrigg (if they win the SL)
  9. I believe Preliminary rounds 1&2 were paid £3k this season (each round) - it was £2k the year before.
  10. Or 3 regional leagues? South (of Forth), Central and North (of Tay). That would prepare for regional pyramid entry at tier 7 feeding into EoS (similar to East Premier at tier 6) and Lowland League at tier 5 (similar to the SL)
  11. Logical. And if Bo'ness are indeed applying, they would be replaced by either Thornton or Downfield depending on final places.
  12. Camelon (and Dunipace) are closer to Sauchie than Bo'ness
  13. Penicuik not going EoS - I'd heard they decided a while ago From their website, what does the Linlithgow 'watching brief' entail? Sounds archaeological...
  14. The most obvious one would be Newtongrange following Bonnyrigg. Their ground should meet licensing standards - would make a lot of sense for them, they'd be a great addition to EoS.
  15. WOE BETIDE THE CLUB... Here's a Billy Connolly sketch to help lift you out that depressing doomsday state:
  16. No local games more like - they'll be in it together with Jeanfield, Lochee, Carnoustie, Tayport and Forfar.
  17. What would make it more expensive than this season?
  18. Dunbar could find themselves in the 'superleague' next season.
