He came off beach against Morton IIRC in the first league game when we came back up and looked excellent but never really kicked on from there, he's definitely got talent but is still very inconsistent

Not against it just see Duffy more as a manager than a coach, but if this gives Hopkin the chance to do the arm round a shoulder thing and players run through a brick wall for him, whilst others do the hard work on the training field a bit like it was with McCall I'm all for it.

Goals were a major problem but for me it was not being able to defend a lead if we actually took one that hurt us the most, I lost count of how many times we scored and the opposition went straight up the park and equalised, I think a lot of that stemmed from the Morton collapse if Hopkin can improve that I think we will be fine to stay up but like everyone I want us back pushing for top 4

Jamie Adams at Ayr, it's no coincidence we have went downhill since he was forced to retire.

Assuming Walsh was probably one of the highest earners at the club, really need to get so more quality in now in the top half of the pitch before much longer.

Jack Hamilton from livi would be a good one was about a goal every 2 games for Arbroath when on loan last season.

I'd love Conway for the nostalgia factor but he's at the tail end of his career we would be better off with a Daniel Armstrong type player

Matured a lot this season when he first broke in to the first team he had a tendency to let his head go down and when that happened was a red card waiting to happen but seems to have grown out if that, he could be a really good signing and a upgrade on McDaid hope he goes to you because he's been linked with Killie as well.

Was player of the year at Dumbarton, picked as keeper in the championship team of the season when with Falkirk and played for the international football for the ROI not that long ago, maybe has a point to prove to his previous employer up the A77 could be a good shout.

Ideally I'd love Doohan back but I can't see that happening, if we can get half decent keeper in I'd be fairly happy with the defence we need to find that old fashioned number 9 that we have been look for since Shankland left and they don't grow on trees unfortunately and a goal scoring number 10 to play behind him then I'd be confident we would be mid table pushing for top four.

I think a lot of folk forget that point, Hopkin was not sacked at Morton for bad results he walked away because the club was a basket case and he was trying to save them money.

McGinty get in IMO because he's left footed gives more ballance and for me Muirhead is a far better player than Baird.

IIRC did Gibson not lose the head and would have been sent of if it was a competitive game.

One thing for sure is that guys who play for Hopkin love him, all three guys from Morton have gushed about him in the interviews, hopefully this project they all speak about comes to fruition.

I'm one of the folk that had us top 3 before a ball was kicked last season, let's get behind the guys and not pan them from the start, McGinty may be a donkey but he's our donkey now.
