  1. Starting line up isn’t filling me with confidence. Baffling how Duffy has dropped Wallace considering he’s consistently been our brightest spark in the last 3 games or so? I’d have him in for Langan or Frizzell. I’m assuming Crossan and Layne are still injured?
  2. What is frizzell doing there turning back into trouble?
  3. In my opinion a striker is as good as the service he gets. Don’t know what people are expecting of him really. I wouldn’t say he played well tonight, but I don’t really understand how he can be effective if all we do is launch overhit poor balls forward in his general direction and the tactics are extremely negative. If we get decent support for him and balls into his feet and in front of him in and around the box, he will score, it’s happened on the very few occasions we have even dared to attempt to play some form of attacking football this season.
  4. So poor. We have players in the likes of Wilson who can play when the ball is in at their feet, yet we shell the ball about like it’s a hot tottie. He must be so frustrated with the lack of service. Tactics and team selection dreadful. I Appreciate we are playing a lot of games however this game is more important than the Aberdeen game on Saturday. The only way from here is down I’m afraid.
  5. Really??? how has Ramsbottom managed that that’s beyond embarrassing. Just not good enough I’m afraid nothing to do with bad luck he had all the time in the world.
  6. Never a penalty. Superb save. Brian Graham how has he missed that rebound??
  7. How often does Jones take a sublime touch and play a decent pass? Once in a blue moon. He’s had a lot more game time than Johnstone, bar that goal and assist he’s been poor. As much as DJ has hardly set the heather alight there’s no doubt he’s a better footballer than Jones, going from the few times we have seen him.
  8. To be fair whenever he’s been involved his movement, first touch and link up play has been decent at times. More than Jones offers imo.
  9. Baffling how jones is starting over both Wilson and Johnstone. He really isn’t good enough. Offers absolutely nothing.
  10. Perhaps more could’ve been done to prevent cancellation? But do we know the facts though? Naw. The assumption that this has in any way been cancelled due to us having ‘ a threadbare squad’ or ‘ shiting the bed’ is ludicrous.
  11. Clyde fans on twitter having meltdowns about how we have intentionally got the game postponed and have ‘ shat the bed’ against the massive footballing superpower that is Clyde FC. Come on lads let’s stop this before it gets any more embarrassing
  12. I was one of the fortunate ones that found no problems with the stream. Thought it was excellent coverage, well done to everyone involved in setting it up and getting it up and running. Hopefully I’m not speaking too soon but it is encouraging to see that we may have a player in big Dubrowski, especially after the absolute duds such as Grant Adam we have endured in recent years. Seems confident and a great presence at the back and will settle the back 4 even more, pulled off some good saves to some tricky balls in and attempts on goal tonight also. I was impressed by Johnstone up top who looks intelligent, has good movement and linked up play well at times, especially when Jones came on beside him. I still think we need an attacking minded midfielder though but can’t say I’m disheartened by defeat tonight at all, some good spells of play and competed well with a decent full time side for the duration of the game. Positives to be taken from the fact they needed a dodgy penalty to beat us.
  13. I’ll need to see the penalty incident again. In my opinion there was contact but not enough for him to go down. It was very soft. If I’m proved wrong and it is a clear foul then fair enough. This is obviously just me speculating but had the same incident happened and it was our striker hitting the deck like that in your box I feel the ref would not have given it, this is not a chip in the shoulder it’s generally how it goes in terms of decisions when it’s a larger team at home facing inferior opposition, as I’m sure you guys must have experienced at Ibrox/Parkhead?
  14. Robbed. We defended so well and deserved the replay. Would it have been a penalty if it happened up the other end? I very much doubt it. Every man worked themselves into the ground today. Thought Rico had a brilliant game, gutted for him conceding the penalty as personally I don’t feel there was enough contact for Cosgrove to go down, mind you he did spend the majority of the game on his arse. If I were an Aberdeen fan would be very concerned if we needed a penalty to beat a mid table league 1 team ravaged by injury at home. Good to see PJ back in the side from injury, worked his socks off up top himself. Overall a good day out though, just a shame we had to lose it so late, that’s fitba’ but. Some new signings soon plz mr Duffy.
  15. Stinking day at the office for us. Thought Hutton did not bad but that was really it I’m afraid. Mccluskey is rotten, absolutely nae heart and should’ve shot that chance when he cut inside onto his left instead of playing a shitebag pass to no one. Crossan extremely frustrating, just not on a good spell of form at all, there’s a player in there but today he was nowhere near at it. The OG was extremely poor from Brennan. The ball was the keepers all day long and he should have been absolutely screaming for it, communicating to McGeever, on the wet slick pitch today it would’ve went straight through to him. Instead we made a colossal arse of it. Big Isaac extremely isolated up front yet again, working hard but every time he gets the ball he’s surrounded by 3 defenders. We were second to everything today and Montrose deserved their victory, big Sean Dillion strolled it and Blair Lyons caused us major problems with his pace.
  16. Calum Gallagher is not a good football player. I’m not saying Layne is outstanding but what you’ve got to remember is Gallagher played up front alongside/ around Dom Thomas who created/ put chances on a plate for Gallagher. Layne’s hold up play and physicality is far superior, baring in mind he is completely alone up front for us. Its not his fault he is isolated when he brings the ball in without a single player within 10 yards of him. If Gallagher played up front in our current side he would not be as effective as Layne. We were stinking today. Hutton and Layne are the only two that weren’t bad today. Frizzell buzzed about and worked hard to no avail. Airdrie very organised and sharp. Poor, poor goals to concede, defensively weak and Brennan should’ve dealt with two of them better. Don’t understand the abuse of Murray also. The guy gave us the best season/ team of my lifetime and folk are absolutely seething at him leaving his technical area a few times. Laughable.
  17. Hang on he wasn’t playing for Montrose against the sons the last time at links park was he?! i remember a similar striker lining up against us and he was equally as stinking would make perfect sense if this was the same guy [emoji23]
  18. Great three points for us today. Thought in the first half we were absolutely tremendous, high pressing attacking football. Tumilty and Frizzell gave the Forfar number 8 a torrid time of it. 3 great goals, a great header by Neil who won absolutely everything today and two wonder goals from frizzell who clearly adds a bit of quality and class to our side. Second half was a slow start and I feared the imminent arse collapse when Forfar scored but in the end we comfortably saw it out. Great to see the players throwing themselves at the ball and showing great desire. I felt Hutton never played a bad ball all day, Langan provided some great dig in the midfield and quitongo really dug in and played through injury in the second half. What are Forfar all about btw. Elbows everywhere, shirt pulling and just generally a bit of a gang. The big carthorse wearing number 9 could possibly be the worst striker I’ve seen in the league, Carswell had the cigars out all afternoon against him.
  19. Cracking day out yesterday up at Balmoor. Good wee setup they have up there, social club was very welcoming. As most sons fans have already said after we went two nil down I feared the worst for us, however Langan’s goal definitely gave us a lift and some hope. I’d only seen him play once prior to today at Morton away and the less said about that the better but today I thought he played well and took his goal brilliantly. The second half it was clear we were the side that had more desire and PJ crossan who was a stand out was turning Brown inside out. Well done to big Isaac too who provided some Nadeesque link up play and had a great second half like most of the team. No point in getting too carried away with that because peterhead were absolutely hoaching however we need to take that as a massive confidence boost for our young squad and push on.
  20. Ryan Tierney signs- never seen him play but for what it’s worth he’s a good young signing on football manager 🤷[emoji23]
  21. He needs to stop this, it’s playing with my emotions[emoji22] I mean what a signing it would be and would give us the lift we need but are we clutching at straws here? He is a free agent and his move to Falkirk didn’t work out....maybe it’s time for him to come home after all? Then of course you have the whole money scenario but with dowie departing who must’ve been on a good wage it does get you thinking..
