  1. I used to get wound up with people. I made the conscious choice to no longer go on WAP as I cant cope with "we're shit, we need another 11 players, Browns a joke" when they either have a meltdown after a defeat or a transfer window. I also removed myself from that banter page just over a year ago... Well because we all know why.
  2. Our fans are thick though, well some of them. Mr Brown's personal wealth isn't what funds the club and they know that so why do they post such utter pish.
  3. Saints fans are in utter meltdown on twitter because we've not announced a striker INSTANTY after announcing Kane's loan. Patience people
  4. If Project Brave gets the go ahead in full then there wont be a Saints youth academy so people might not be able to moan about youth not getting a chance.
  5. Great minds think alike. Re Alston, has ability but lacks belief imo and athleticism. It seems like he is never under control of the ball. Constant stumble.
  6. Last season they finished bottom of the development league. Certainly doesn't suggest to me the lads who were around 1st team in u20 squad were good enough. I know many have left and we tend to play young young lads at under 20 level but still feel some people over state the quality of our youth players. We suggests to me the reason Mclaren etc were allowed to go and the others don't get a chance is because they're not good enough (yet for some?).
  7. I cannot bring myself to be on that page on Facebook. To many of them are high on some hallucinogenic drugs. On the subject of Hendry. Good pre season for him, I know friendlies are a different thing completely to competitive games but how far away from the 1st team do you think he is? I know he's young but seems to have a good work ethic etc with some ability to match.
  8. Seen 2 Saints fans on twitter suggest TW should be sacked after last night. One suggesting its similar to why Cathro was sacked... My God. What is wrong with some of supporters?
  9. Yeah my thoughts exactly really. I understand TW and co are just answering questions put to them by journalists but its better just to ignore it.
  10. One thing that irks me a bit and it's happened a few times after good results. We won against Killie, on a bit of a high which was followed by ANOTHER newspaper article about Wright "Hitting back at critics". There was similar quotes from Macca in the media this week too. Then last night we came out and performed quite poorly and its something that's happened more than once after those type of outburst articles. Why can't the critics be ignored and the criticism used for motivation internally. It almost feels like the players are more focused on what's being said in media about the previous game than focusing on the NEXT game. Just frustrates me. Less media talk about how good we are and doing the talking on the pitch.
  11. Despite it being offside it was indeed a cracking save. An observation I often think about Macca. He seems to slip over at least 2 or 3 times a game when trying to turn when either on the ball or chasing someone in posession!
  12. Macca was given offside for that save... Gordon is currently 5th choice.
  13. Change of subject slightly. There are Saints fans on twitter complaining about the price tonight. Saying they should have been given more discount etc. REALLY???
  14. Well done Thistle. Players seemed to want it more and actually seemed like they were a team too. We we're all over the place. Decision making every time a disaster. Picked the wrong pass, went long when we should of put our foot on the ball then over played it when having great chances to shoot in and around the box. Whereas Thistle were the opposite. We could have still been playing now and not scored.
  15. I was quite close to it and it looked like the opposite to me. Ando attacked the ball. Won it and the guy ran into him. I'm not convinced re @Randomguys comment that he should of Shepparded him etc. He got their 1st and won it. You can't always avoid tackling fearing giving away a penalty. Particularly when you're rhe favourite to win the ball. I could be wrong but at the time I thought. Oh good tackle... Then penalty was given. I was convinced. Liam Gordon is also not going to play very much all season and likely to end up out on loan. He's last in the pecking order to play. Although... In saying all of that. Did we deserve to win. No we did not. 2nd best in every area after half time.
  16. Can I just ask why everyones moaning about Ando for the penalty. I've not seen it again but it looked like he clearly won the ball?
  17. I'm just surprised there's no swears... Its all I've done since half time...
  18. Penalty decision was nothing short of incompetence. How many times did we pass the ball... For it to be nowhere near a blue shirt. Cummins missed his chance yes but there where 7 or 8 others who were nothing other than SHIT tonight. Fosters pathetic swing at the ball to launch forward that ended up needing Mannus to stop it with a header, that was Sunday league levels of shit?
  19. Thistle just handed a penalty... Ando won the ball cleanly and clearly. Penalty given?!!!
  20. If any of you are at a loose end today and are unsure about the propsect of signing Brian Graham I'd recommend watching a few of his saints goals on youtube. 2 headers against Hamilton & a winning header on his debut against Motherwell are particular highlights headerwise. Also his winning goal against Dundee in Perth was a peace as well. He did well quite well in Perth but some have questioned his attitude to be a bit of a premadonna. No idea if true or not though.
  21. Its still better than Skys tv lineup today. Fuckin Boyd & Commons.
