  1. Sums up everything I've read for a year. Pittodrie and Links naesayers putting the onus on fans to show other options rather than the club. Anything fans say isn't good enough and anything the club says with nothing to back it up is pure truth. Not a jot of evidence, couldn't be less transparent, what Milne's always wanted. Nothing suspicious at all say the Dons forumers. Why would you knock down the Merkland for a new stand, and include that in the cost? How do you possibly come up with a capacity of 2500 in the 2 new stands along the side? How the f**k would that cost the same, gross or net, as a new stadium and training facilities at Kingsford? Nothing to see here say the Dons forumers. Meanwhile the numbers at Kingsford, from the cost, to the money that will be raised, to the mortgage it leaves, work out as bang on the only option. The vast majority of Aberdeen fans are fools, like the **** are with their messiahs. Hearts and probably Hibs fans would be running rings around Milne.
  2. I tend to go to games and speak about football at the game when not yapping random shite. I've little interest in discussing football on the internet with bores like yourself who drive to games and have no one to talk to.
  3. A stadium across the road at King's Links was estimated at £42m in 2009. Rebuilding 3 stands at Pittodrie was estimated at £30m for 12,000 seats, which we've already been through. The more recent King's Links cost estimates they gave when discounting the site as unaffordable, showed the cost due to the conditions of the area as actually only around £1m. Part of Aberdeen council went along with the word of the club and their legal argument that it's up to the business to decide how much space they need. So they're able to discount the available land at King's Links, and anywhere, by saying they need way more than is there. Another part of Aberdeen council, and those that voted against it, argued the club were being inflexible and therefore not complying with the city centre first test, that they should build the stadium where there is space. They also argued land could be allocated and made affordable through the LDP, rather than steamrolling it through a planning application, such as the swathes of land pictured. Could have even tied it in with turning the shitey pitches into a training centre in an area that needs it a la Man City, rather than the bizarre Man City for rich locals that we're doing.
  4. What proof do you need that there are other alternatives? They've also worked back from the answer 'Kingsford' to show it's the only possible site.
  5. Dave Cormack and/or the guy he brought on board worked with Atlanta United I think. He did an interview on RedTV talking about it but there vision and ideas is basically how Americans do the sports day out with car barbecues thing. I'm really not sure how transferable it is to Aberdonian people and standing just off a bypass.
  6. When I was a lad a tiny wee lad My mother said to me Go see the Dons the glorious Dons Sev'n miles from Aberdeen
  7. This really isn't far from the experience of what out there would be. If you look closely you can see the tower blocks where Pittodrie..King Street...town..is. Looking at that the club will be totally unrecognisable. Also shows how useful the AWPR will be for those who actually live in the city...
  8. Ignore this guy Hibernia. He's said on numerous occasions he thinks everyone drives to games and nobody takes buses. He confuses transport links with public transport links. His face should be a picture when Kingsford has 10,000 empty seats. Thousands currently walk. Thousands only have one convenient bus to take. These are the type of people who would be far more likely to drop off than the drivers and passengers who only have to sit in their car for 20 minutes and park next to the ground, who only make up 55-60% of the attendance.
  9. A mental narrative that is being repeated until its true now.
  10. Aye, teams do have to move. But no team with anything near our facilities has ever had to move. I remember one of the myths years ago was about a UEFA safety certificate or inspection. Most of the historic stadiums abroad are dilapidated like section Y but all over their ground.
  11. I mind some clever clogs trying to use that as proof we'd have to move, along with Apollon I think. Atalanta And Apollon's stadium was closed because it was falling down even by Cyprus standards. We have the RDS, 20 corporate boxes and a full functioning all seated all covered British standard stadium.
  12. Have you seen the abuse anyone against it takes on any other forum or social media or are your blinkers that strong? You even threw in a so called Dons fans yourself. I've investigated everything myself, along with many other doom and gloom merchants. I've spoken to people from the club about it in person and online. I've shared what I know with the uninformed masses who think it's a 10 minute bus journey from the city centre / there will be free buses from all over Aberdeen / 5k will fit in the supporters bar / there can be steep stands / parking will be better. I've held up protest banners at Pittodrie before and they last 5 seconds before stewards come running from all angles and you get chucked out. What do you suggest? Do you think the club are going to bin it? The majority of fans are behind it for many reasons. It's a lost cause. I'd be happy for the club to move out and a new one to pop up in the east end.
  13. The best outcome would be the training facilities are built soon and fast. Fans get the chance to see them, actually travel there and preferably take the bus. Realise what a fucking terrible idea it is and don't buy any scam memberships or whatever it is they're now trying to punt to fund it. The fans being taken along for a ride by the fatshaft/Dunty/Milnes are the ones I feel sorry for when they realise what they had with a city centre location. But the overall Aberdeen support is pretty shite. They don't have any fight or soul left anymore.
  14. Let's face it...it's a stadium for posh arses, which is a fair chunk of the Aberdeen support.
  15. Your entire wealth of knowledge is based off your incorrect interpretations of the incorrect interpretations of some boy on Donstalk who thinks the RDS is built where it is so there's an equivalent sized concourse behind it By the way, another of your mistakes is about Tynecastle not being allowed if it was built now. That's nothing to do with the footprint of the stands or the angle of the seating. You can have terracing. f**k knows why you keep saying you can't. I didn't say build a stand like St Mirren's, I was using that as a marker for a stand of the capacity mentioned. You still can't give a price or rationale for anything. I was right long ago when I said there was no point discussing it and I'd be wasting my time.
  16. Genuinely the image of the Kingsford fan zone in the minds of all its supporters.
  17. There are still people saying one of the benefits is the weather and getting away from the sea. I look forward to these people freezing to death, or sliding back to Kingsford trying to walk back to Kingswell's park and ride.
  18. That's why I still generously plunked on an extra £4m or so. I'm all ears to Dunty's explanation as to why it would cost more like 30 or even 40 or fockin 50 million as claimed, for 2 stands that size and capacity. I will personally come back to this thread and apologise in 2021 if Kingsford costs less than 70 million.
  19. What do you even think is wrong? Apart from saying brand new stadium instead of 2 new stands to make it sound harder, your trademark move.
  20. I think we can build a stand the same size as Hearts for around the same price as them, and a stand the same size as St Mirren's for the around the same price as them. You thought terraces were not allowed, that they had to be 1 to 1 seating space, and decreasing the angle of the stands increased the footprint. You can't even give a price never mind any rationale for the cost of 2 new stands, just go back to your same incorrect points. I'd give it a rest if I were you.
  21. Kingsford supporters seem to live in fucking fantasy land with a 9k capacity supporters bar, good weather to hang about in and 500 extra buses to serve all areas of Aberdeen to Kingsford like the city centre. This is like moving Celtic or Rangers to Belshill, but much worse. Fuckin Garlogie. Pre match pints in a Premier Inn. Jesus christ.
  22. Should actually be some laugh when either of those turn up in Westhill. Those who were so offended at claims of bad behaviour from football fans will be in hiding.
