  1. I continue to find Glass' lack of involvement bizarre. The last time he played he came on as a late sub v Hibs scoring a wonder goal. A goal that involved running at, and driving at a defence - something never seen from the likes of Harkes, Levitt et al. Since then zero minutes on the park despite being behind for the majority of the game v St. Mirren, an abject 120 minutes v Kilmarnock and trailing to or being level with Ross County until the 91st minute. This with a backdrop of being afforded the luxury of five subs in the St Mirren and RC games, yet still zero game time. Not saying he's the answer, but our midfield is honking and quite why TC isn't even giving Glass an opportunity to come on as a sub is baffling to me. Great win tonight, and maybe a slight improvement on the last few matches, but the majority of the second half was woeful.
  2. Hahaha. Yep got that completely wrong. Surprised he didn't start, and caused us problems almost as soon as he came on
  3. It's a valid point, but there has to be exceptions. You can be sure Lafferty will be in from the start today. I'd have said likewise with Watt during the week.
  4. In which case 5 - picking starting lineups 24 hours ahead of matches kicking off and refusing to change them in the intervening period
  5. It's certainly right to be questioning Courts - Without getting into the realms of tactics within matches, a few examples of why fans are right to be concerned 1 - Bizarre man management of Declan Glass. 2 - Niskanen went visibly, and alarmingly backwards under his stewardship. 3 - Signing the league's top scorer only to consign him to the bench in lieu of a guy just back from a bad injury and zero goals to his name this season. 4 - Substitutions which, earlier in the season were being made (unlike his predecessor) early in a game (eg v St Johnstone) are noticeably taking place much later (v St Mirren on Tuesday despite a horrific first half, no subs at HT, despite being afforded the luxury of 5 subs) I'm not champing at the bit for his sacking, but tomorrow is a big day for him.
  6. Aye? Just recently motm v Livingston. That goal v Hibs. When he gets the ball he shows more willing to get forward than all the other midfielders. Just my opinion of course.
  7. In among a ton of other shit, what's Courts' issue with Declan Glass?
  8. Thanks for that offer, but I'll leave it. Not wanting to impinge on your own collection. Thanks again though
  9. Shouldn't even be a review. Sturgeon said these restrictions would be in place "for a period of up to three weeks". Come the 17th, three weeks will have come and gone.
  10. I believe Cowdenbeath usually produce a (very good) match programme. I never saw any for sale on Saturday (granted I was a minute or two late getting in) but did see a chap with what looked one in his hand. In short, anyone know where I can pick up a copy of Saturday's programme (assuming there was one)?
  11. To be honest I was playing along with the original posters' deliberate vagueness. I assume his was in reference to the fact Carson's Morecambe were leading 1-0. I've now seen that goal on the internet - yep Carson badly at fault.
  12. Only listening on the radio but Pat Nevin laying the blame with him there
  13. Meant to say - At the second penalty the Cowdenbeath keeper was still in a state of rage at seeing his earlier save discounted. Despite having picked up a booking seconds earlier for arguing with the ref, he seemed to be hell bent on mimicking his captain and getting another yellow. Not sure if anyone noticed but I'm convinced that as he retrieved the ball from the net, still in mid-rage, his kick up the park towards the centre circle was full of venom and looked to me to be very much aimed at the ref.
  14. Took this game in as a neutral. The ref had a lot to contend with and definitely got some wrong, but I thought he got the key decisions right (both pens, the red card, Cowden's goal (although I was surprised he gave it) and presumably the penalty re-take). I thought despite being so far adrift at the bottom and given today's result Cowden were decent, but just seemed intent on shooting themselves in the foot.
  15. Ive probably mentioned this on this thread before but I used to really enjoy the Friday night German football on BT. Sky's efforts have been lame at best and hardly ever have the Friday night games on live, presumably as they don't want to put it up against their English Championship coverage. The only reason that game was shown live last night was because of the FA Cup this weekend. Makes you wonder why they bought the German football in the first place. It moving to Sky has been a poor move for the punters.
  16. Watched Gladbach best Bayern 2-1 in the Allianz Arena last night. Brilliant game with loads of chances. A pity no fans there to see it though. Another thing, Sky's coverage of the German football is awful. To say its 'half-arsed' is an understatement.
  17. 100% agreement. If government's want to restrict the virus, it should basically be all (ie lockdown March 2020) or nothing. You simply can't *control* an airborne virus.
  18. Quite possibly. Media dressing up the 'FORTY SIX!!' mutations like more mutations = more deadly. Might come to something, might come to f**k all. But a good excuse for Sturgeon et al to be more cautious and to "wait two weeks"
  19. Good news for Sturgeon and another reason to be 'cautious' - A variant with FORTY SIX mutations has been discovered in the south of France. Best continue to close football stadiums etc. Just to be safe ay. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.examinerlive.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/new-variant-france-46-mutations-22634183.amp
  20. Anyone else catch some Scottish pro-restriction rocket on Jeremy Vine. Totally uneducated, yet able to speak to a massive audience and spout absolute rubbish as if it were fact. "The league cup final caused the Omicron explosion in Scotland" a particular favourite.
  21. One thing though, at least this is a mainstream media journalist asking some proper interrogating questions. Can't recall seeing that before.
