  1. Yes it's at lesser open to anyone. I think we will be back at Hampden for Celtic colts game. Good work getting Calvin to stay for another year. Thought he would be off. Hearing Summers could possibly be away.
  2. A clyde fan with a sense of humour. Wow!!!
  3. Hearing we have some young hungry players on top of the boys kept on from last year. Willie Muir is back. Will update as I find out.
  4. Hearing Maclean is away as well. Others considering leaving if right calibre of player not brought in by Mark. So we have Gibson, Summers, Mortimer, Magee, Mcgrory, Gow, Moore and Gault left from last year.
  5. Well folks pre season training starts on Monday. Will be a meet and greet the way things are going. Heard another couple have left. Just awaiting confirmation. I believe one could be Ruth.
  6. Any new signings? Only ones I have heard possibly staying are. Gibson, Maclean, Mcgrory, Moore, Grant, Mortimer, Galt Possibles Summers, East, Ruth, Gow Very thin to start the season Mark will have his work cut out to assemble a squad.
  7. Mckernon, Hart, Peters, Roberts, Hawke, Sharpe, Miller all definitely leaving. Mark has a big job on his hands.
  8. Could not get to the game yesterday. Was gobsmacked when I seen the team but fair play to Mark he made changes again looking for that elusive result. Going by the posts we played very well even after losing an early goal. How did Jambo do in defensive 3? How did midfield play? Do we think Gerry will come back in next week at the expense of McGrory in midfield and Jambo back in midfield? Were Billy and Scotty good in defence, could it be an answer in this positions. Good to hear Gibby getting back to the player we know. And Galty back to give us a boost going forward. Were we good in possession of the ball, was it kept on the ground more. Great attitude from Kurtis back playing after his teeth injury. We will be hoping for more of the same next weekend at home to Berwick.
  9. One player does not turn around our season. Great to have Galty back. We need a result soon.
  10. I think for the game next week we have to move Kurtis forward to the role smart played today. Going back Marks comments he wants to move Jambo back into the midfield so why not have him and Calvin and Kurtis in front of them. I thought Calvin was good today kept it simple and tidy and he has cracking delivery. Think big Hawke will come back in if fit. You could have a good 3 at the back. Gerry, Dom and Lewis. My team would-be. Jordan Dom Gerry. Lewis James. Calvin Jambo. Ciaran Kurtis Josh. Hawke
  11. I could not agree more another midfielder with positional sense and discipline to protect. Let Jambo do his running and pressing and move Kurtis further forward to support the forward and move right or left depending on who Mark plays. Moore and East are definitely impact players. MacLean has got some great touches but needs to give us more in games as he does not impact the game in my opinion enough. Martin was good last week. Play big Hawke up top with someone buzzing about him and a solid unit being them. Kindlan or Mcgrory could be the 3rd midfielder if fit and available.
  12. Was anyone at the reservs game tonight lots of fringe players playing. Anyone play well.
  13. Just passing what I know on and adding my thoughts, that's what a forum is for surely.
  14. Smart has not left the club. Gow is signing. A considerable number of players are not happy at this time. Believe quite a few spoke to Mark about there position. Think his problem is he does not really talk to the players that are not playing or left out or dropped and let them know why they are not involved to keep them motivated. Within the squad he has people who he has not got the nerve to drop no matter how they are playing. Think his squad is too big and he does not have the man management skills at this time to deal with unhappy players. As I have said before Gus always had a large squad he fell out with so many players during the season. I think Mark has to take his squad down to a more manageable amount. Our squad looks good enough to stay out of trouble only if he manages it better and the fact Albion are so poor. Preferred the football he tried to play initially but it seems to have reverted to the punt and chase football again. Needs to change things to give the squad a shot in the arm or we could see a considerable amount of players leaving our great club in January.
  15. Guys what is happening to our game. We started playing football under Mark with a high pressing game with pace. Now we are lumping it forward and hoping for the best. We look a team with little heart and drive. Today was terrible. We need to change things up a bit. Players are to comfortable in possession of the jersey. Mark is to loyal to guys not pulling their weight. Is he there friend or their manager. He has to manage his squad better. I here Gavin Lachlan has left as he was never given a chance by Mark. Thought he started the season excellent at right back. But credit to young James Grant who has done well. Gavin was signed as a midfielder and was never given a chance by Gus or Mark in his natural position.
  16. I think come January we will lose a few Gus always had a far too big squad because he fell out with so many players. But Mark seems a more easy going manager. The difficulty for him is when everyone is fit and not getting game time. I feel sorry for Gavin he looked really good at right back although a midfielder although young James has made the position his own now, although i believe he has not been tested properly. A Isaid before I believe at least 5-6 players will need to leave come January. Brendan, Adam, Euan, Dean, Lewis, Daniel and Calvin must all be thinking about when they will get game time and may look for a loan or another club to satisfy that.
  17. Daniel Nimmo has left the club, Cammy Fit had some good news about his injury hopefully back within 6-8 weeks. Lewis Magee has been back fit and playing for last few weeks. Alistair Miller fit and well just can't get into team. Agree Calvin Mcgrory looked excellent in Spartans game before hip injury believe just back to training now. Euan McPherson is also injured but agree he might need to move to get some game time as lot if players in front of him now. We also have the Kindlan brothers who are both coming to fitness again but maybe struggle to get any time on the pitch. With the new manager coming in and having a good run he states publicly the players that have the jersey only have it to lose. Think the squad we have us good but there is about 5 players who may need to move to get some game time. Glad to see Mark is not playing Fotheringham. But will need back up for Jambo and Kurtis. So he Dean and Calvin will have a part to pay at some point. I like the way Mark has us playing pace and energy and a great work ethic.
  18. When are we going to appoint a new manager. Duffy will go to a higher division team. Roberts done himself no harm beating Clyde. Usually you hear something from someone. I just want a permanent head coach we can back going forward. The loss of Gibby will be hard to replace we've got the lad McLaren who is now fully fit. Some other the other lads coming back to fitness as well as some of the young lads pushing gives us a competitive squad. The boy East looks a cracking player just needs time on the pitch I believe he could be the natural goalscorer we have been screaming out for. Yesterday's result lifted the doom and gloom we have had the past few weeks.
  19. A name has just been mentioned to me. Supposedly has applied. Ian Durrant. Keen to be his own man rather than an assistant. Don't shoot the messenger.
  20. Hearing there is a doubt surrounding Jim Duffy possibly been approached by higher level teams.
  21. We really need a new manager in pronto to stop this alarming drop of form. Board has a big decision on their hands.
