  1. Agreed that Accies were streetwise, but they generally always have been, which is one reason they have been punching above their weight for so long. They came at us fast at Tannadice and at a pace we had become unaccustomed to playing at. However we came into it and really should have gone down to Hamilton with a lead to defend. I see you noted my dripping sarcasm at goal machine Murray. The playoffs are naturally geared to favour the Premiership team (this is fact), which may well be a good thing for you lot. That being said, I don't think any of us want a Derby to decide this......
  2. Some fair points Juan. I disagree that there was a massive gulf between accies and us to be fair. The difference was an excellent finish by Docherty at NDP and a dreadful reffing decision at Tannadice denying us a pen and getting (goal machine) Simon Murray sent off in the process. Not whining, just think there wasn't much between the teams over 180 mins.
  3. To be fair, the city of Dundee is not covering itself in glory in football terms these days. Both squads need a complete fucking overhaul imo.
  4. Yes yes, i've seen that one before. (Every day or so it pops up some where on our thread for some reason) It's quite a topical choice of pic tbf. There is a growing sense amongst us Arabs that we are hurtling towards the inevitablity that is the Doon Derby 2 in May. (A prospect that is about as desirable to me as a smack in the baws with a sack of wasps tbf). Just wondering how you lads feel about the prospect, given that there really would be something at stake for you this time.
  5. Hi Dees. I have just seen your last 4 fixtures before the split. (Ooft). Quick question. How many points realistically do you think you will take from these games? Just asking for a ...... friend* *laugh
  6. Would have been better for us had he left of course but fucking admirable that he has stayed to finish the job he started. When you think of all the Scottish managers who have lifted their skirts at the first offer of a gig in England, it is a refreshing break from the norm and fair play to him. As for the wee boy line.... a bit needless tbh.
  7. Fair Point on all counts. Have to take happiness where you can tbf. For Exmaple: A happy Arab is an Arab driving home on Tuesday night listening to Dundee FC blow a 2-1 lead with half an hour to go against 10 man Killie to ulimately lose the game, plunging them deeper into relegation trouble.* *Concious that this is not the place for pish like this as has nothing to do with St Mirren but thought it would be rude not respond.
  8. If the worst thing that happens to me today is having my posts on P&B picked apart by a pedantic cockwomble, then I’ll be a happy Arab.
  9. Actually, fair one on point 1; can’t have it both ways. Please f**k off. As for point 2, You’re the one who has prematurely described your team as champions way before it is a mathematical certainty, so people in glass houses and all that......
  10. Mixu would be a perfect fit..... Perhaps Buddist Monk can come out of hiding and offer his eloquent, well informed opinion of who should come in????
  11. Here's fucking hoping...... This is the only thing that could stop you boys cantering over the finish line, and our only (very slim) hope of catching you. We may have a bigger budget etc but in Ross you have something much more valuable; a manager that can dig out result after result, week in week out even when you are playing badly. If he does go , it will be really interesting to see how the players react.
  12. Please find below message from all at DUFC* to both Jack Ross and especially to Buddist Monk..... *this does not constitute the official views of Dufc.
  13. This is very exciting...... Maybe (just maybe) there could be a wee twist in the tale before the final outcome of the championship is decided. There is no doubting that Ross has done an unbelievable job with you lads and a change in manager could maybe upset things a little. If this turns out to be the case, and all you Buddies quite justifiablygo and hunt down Buddist Monk for cursing you with his (some could argue) presumptuous and somewhat premature banner about being champions, can you let us know when his well deserved punishment is going to be doled out, as we would definitely bring a busload down to watch..... Cheers.
  14. DUFC Relegation thread for this pish Bobby. Stay on topic. This is a Scottish Cup thread. 21051995 15052010.xx
  15. That's more like it. That's Lennoxtown. Not quite in the Alps but in the Campsie Hills nonetheless.
  16. Hi Dees. Got bored of stinking out the Arab thread and thought i'd pay you a visit. (And bring you a present.) Looks good on him....
  17. Eh ken, but it was too good an opportunity to play Billy Big Baws to miss..... #bantz
  18. Fucking spellcheck... that would be Naivety (and I'm not laughing at anybodie's) Bit harsh about the wise men... visit any DUFC thread to see the extent of the wiseness abound in Dundee, Fair point about the virgins but.......
  19. It's trust and faith like that, that makes it even more painful when the inevitable happens, and the player, manager, and chairman betray it all by fucking the club over just before the window shuts, (leaving you no time to replace him except with total shite), and Celtic (and much of the rest of Scottish football) have a great laugh at your nativity, and your club's resultant irreversible, inevitable tailspin into the lower leagues.* Not that I'm still bitter btw..... *Sure this won't happen with Morgan tho.....
  20. Agreed; hoped you'd note the sarcasm.... That being said, we all know that when he can't get a gig at Ibrox, he likes to see his wee team (whom he has a major soft spot for), so listening to him wax lyrical about Dumarton's performance (while I was driving back form Tannadice), was a breath of fresh air. You'se must have been good. Point to note also.... Interviews with Championship managers virtually never get on Sportsound these days, they only ever focus on the Premiership for those, so to get a good few minutes with Stevie Aitken on there was decent. Hope you can keep him. Like I said on the league predictor thread.... Dumbarton will do a Dumbarton again this year, and stay away form both auto relegation and the playoff spot.
  21. Hi Lads, Just popping in to say thanks for doing us a massive favour today. From Match Analysis from the esteemed Mr C Young esq, sounds like you were well worthy of your win even before they went a man down. Tough place to go (we got pumped there 3-0 earlier in the season ) so great result!! After all the problems youu've caused us over the last season and a half, it's braw to see you help us out, so thanks a million!! Arabest
  22. A grand total of 431 fans bothering to turn up to watch them play ICT at Fir Park in April 2008 was a bit Mintertastic.
