I saw him playing for the reserves a few weeks back he only lasted around 20 minutes when he went off with a knock which I reckon was more precautionary than anything else He was playing CB and looked comfortable there.He also looked quite fit and sharp.

I think it was just precautionary..He came into the stand with Murray Davidson shortly after he came off and was standing stretching the muscles in his leg for a short time before sitting down..If it had been something serious I reckon he would have headed off for treatment.

They give us a bit of cover and it lets Anderson get some game time..Ando has slipped down the pecking order since the emergence of Kerr and Gordon but is still a good player..My only criticism of him is that to get the best out of him he needs to play alongside a strong character as he is not really a leader. His performances went down hill when he was captain here for a while and then picked up again after shaughnessy replace him in that role.

I don't really get your point here .We would have been paying Anderson to sit on the bench or in the stand anyway.Keown is ten years younger and obviously has/had some ability,and can be assessed in training etc as a potential signing for next season.Our coaching team are very good at developing and bringing out the best in defenders.Again with the goalkeeping situation Hurst does not have the ability to play at premiership level and the only reason that I can see for his contract extension was to let Sinclair go out on loan..Sinclair obviously has tremendous potential but is nowhere near being ready to be the backup keeper at this stage.He needs games and lots of them

Keown is ten years younger than Ando who at this stage in his career should be wanting to play regularly as he has not got many years left..Keown obviously has some potential and our coaching team seem to be able to bring the best out of defenders..He will only be fourth choice and we also (Fingers crossed ) will have Easton back to add to the defensive options

No.Scougall is really an attacking left sided midfielder..He can also play number 10 but is a bit lightweight for that position and can be easily nudged off the Ball..He has occasionaly played on the right when he and Wotherspoon have swapped wings but this is quite rare..

There is nothing wrong with him as a player apart from being to easily pushed off the Ball..There are strong rumours about a major falling out with TW and "Someone close to the club"Told me in September that there was no way back for him and that he would be away in January..When he joined the club it was said that he was one of the top earners so that would put him on around 2K per week could Ayr afford that ??
