  1. This is a historic fork in the road time for our team. Are we continuing with a board, SOME of which have the interest of the club at heart, but are incompetent, or will we be taken over by strangers with their own interests at heart only and not ours. If we are taken over it could lead to better times or we could be bled dry. Squeaky bum time.
  2. Not counting any chickens. The players we've signed so far look to give us a chance to do well this season. After the debacle of last season and the hype about all the new signings this time last summer and the subsequent horror show, we are in no position to go lording it over anyone. Been there, made that mistake already. Bet you Raith thought they'd bounce right back up when they got relegated and look at them. Baby steps.
  3. I hope that collage of attractions around the town doesn't make it onto our strips. I think it's hideous.
  4. Can we sign Cappielow next please Ray and turn it into a tattie field?
  5. We might become a feeder club for Sunderland but morton are sure becoming our feeder team.
  6. Our signings so far have been a bit above my expectations. At league 1 level what can we really expect? I think this is the time to concentrate on the job ahead of us this year, to win the league and worry about the next couple of years later. Signing steady known faces who have played decently at higher levels is fine by me after signing any random unproven player the past couple of years and hoping for the best. Throw in a couple of on-the-rise young players and I think we'll end up with a better team than the past two years in the championship.
  7. In a heartbeat, one of the few one hundred percenters, gave everything, but I don't think he is physically up to it anymore. Shame.
  8. Could have apologised for last week's fiasco of a statement.
  9. Yes, we're having a CRACKing time nicking your players xxxxx
  10. When I think about it, that could be our new club motto, "Be prepared to be slightly disappointed:.
  11. I guess yesterday will mark the high tide in terms of quality signings over the summer. Be prepared to be slightly disappointed from now on.
  12. Shows the value of Morton when we can lure their best player to a lower league. Great news and a laugh at the same time.
  13. Look what I found in the cupboard today Better times.
  14. The club is imploding. Ritchie's statement was practically a declaration of war between the board and the fans. For the first time in my life I feel sick of the club. We are seen as plebs by those in charge, we are just units of income for them.
  15. First rule of business: never insult your customers., ie. Gerald Ratner. I have felt taken for granted by the people running our club before and let down, but this is the first time I have felt enraged by them. Get who ever wrote that statement out of OUR club right now. There is no coming back from that. Traitor.
  16. Remember being excited with all the summer signings last year? A triumph of marketing, selling us gold that turned out to be dross. Bracing myself for the incoming this time. Wonder what stoaters we'll be able to attract in league 1. Just give Tidser whatever he wants and built a team round him. Give us a speck of hope Ray.
  17. Nope, you got it wrong, I have never claimed I am from Dundee, you just made that up.
  18. Sorry to disappoint - I am not Margaret Lang. Wish I had her money though and I'm pretty sure she doesn't live half way up a tower block in Edinburgh.
  19. I wish you guys would stop having a pissing contest - "my team's bigger than your team", yadda, yadda, yadda. Apart from the fools who support Celtic and Rangers who don't come from Glasgow and have no connection with them maybe except for sectarian reasons, the rest of us support the team we were born or brought up nearest to. I support the Bairns not because of their size or how good the football is (just as well ) , but because they are my home town team. The same can be said of the majority of supporters up and down the land. I don't dislike any other team or their supporters (apart from the religiously motivated as stated above - religion should have no place in sport), we are all in the same boat. If I had been born in Perth I would have supported St.Johnstone, etc, but instead my dad lifted me and my brother over the turnstiles at Brockville in the early 70's.
  20. You know things are bad when the most up-to-date thing on the FFC website for the past fortnight has been about Alex Totten's steak pie. I hope something happens soon. I'm bored.
  21. Now that Forfar have failed in the playoffs we could do worse than get John Baird back for next season. He is a proven goal scorer in League 1 and would certainly give 100%. We must cut our cloth accordingly for the coming season. Taking a risk on more unknowns is not viable any more, we need proven players and John fits the bill for this league. I would love to get back Peter Grant too now he is a free agent again. Yes since his injury he was never the same as before but he gives 100% too. That cup final header I will remember forever, one of my best Falkirk memories. I stood near him after the St.Mirren game the last day of 2017/18 season when he took his top off and gave it to a young supporter. He had tears in his eyes, he knew he was being let go. What a guy.
