Haber clearly has the quality for this level, but there's obviously some other issue. Froxylias hardly played for us. Fasan only played a few games for Kilmarnock last season. Paton hasn't played at this level recently.

Haber has the quality for this level has he?  One of those football training dummies on a base that you dribble round has more goal threat than Haber has.  I've never see such a useless striker since Rory Loy's second time with us.  Hell, I'm female, in my 50's, fat and can't play football, I'll give Haber a run for his money.

  2. Two questions:  1.  If Nile played up front by himself would he be the Lone Ranger?   2.  Do we really want someone who was a suspect in a rape case, has been in trouble with the police many times and has been in prison recently for fraud anywhere near our team?   I don't care how good he may be, that's not a Bairn.

  3. It must be hard for the players to see on social media and forums etc every day that they are pish at their jobs and are generally hated by the people who pay to see you play.  Most of them are living in temporary digs far from home.  I don't know how I would cope if that happened to me in my job.  Certainly wouldn't make me perform better.

It's a fine line, vent your anger at the unacceptable standards at the club right now or hold back our harshest criticism for the sake of unity.   We are in such a dire situation, I for one don't know what to do or what can be done.  Almost feels like our club has been deliberately sabotaged.

I know this post is a bit incoherent, I am just hurting.

  4. I didn't think they were up to much, just surprised at the timing.  Froxy could have been a player if you put 10,000 volt up his jaxy to get him moving at more than walking pace and Greenwood was the only good thing about the QOS game, showing a few flashes of a real winger.  In saying that, none of them will be missed.

  5. I for one appreciate the Lang statement. Surprised and pleased it was so frank.   When will we learn that a house divided will not stand.   I hate this vandetta against the board.  We should all get behind the team (as hard as it is with these current players), behind McKinnon AND behind the board.   This may not be popular but Falkirk FC is not only a team but a business.  Sometimes the board have to take unpopular decisions (academy) to keep the team on the pitch viable.

I didn't realise our finances were so precarious.  If the board were to take the advice of some on this thread we would probably be in administration within a couple of years.

The team are in a difficult position right now.  If the board do what they say and give us a steady financial footing where extra funds can be pumped into the team without having to rely on selling income we will be in a good position to improve on the pitch. COYB.

  6. I was in the south stand last game of last season and I was a few feet away from  Peter Grant as he took off his top and handed it to a youngster at the end of the game.   I could see in his face how much Falkirk meant to him as he was on the verge of crying.   Yes, he was never the same after his long-term injury but I was gutted when he was let go.   He has his faults but I would take him back in a heartbeat.  He gave everything he had - how many in our current team does that?

Also, am I the only one who can't stand Muirhead?   I wish he had been let go, not made our captain.  I have no confidence in him at all, except when taking penalties.

  7. Do we have the most ineffectual forward line we've had in living memory?   If anyone is still saying the season is still young, the new manager will bring them together i think is kidding themselves.  Yes I think McKinnon will make them a little better but with zero goal scoring forwards we are completely f*cked.   At least Brechin fought last season, we are just laying over.

Actually where a football club entices a manager to break his contract with another football club, compensation will generally be payable unless something in his contract says otherwise. It is for instance not unusual for assistant managers to gave a clause inserted in their contract allowing them to leave without compensation if they are offered a managers job elsewhere.

Its not like players, players have a registration system which restricts free movement on a formal basis, but its not like leaving Tesco to work at Morrisons either. There is a governing body (two in fact) which will rule and enforce in case of dispute.

hey, QOS fan.  Your team is doing really well right now, they turned us over 2 weeks ago and we would bite your hand off for Dobbie.  Why are you wasting so much of your time on giving us contract law.  I'm on holiday this week and don't have anything to do today, what's your excuse?
