a few years ago i took my ex to a gig at the aecc. got back home the following afternoon and her mum comes away with"show us your pictures?" eh? no i dont have any pictures of the performance as i was busy enjoying the performance! people are stupidIt was indeed. I'm not talking about photos, I'm talking about folk being in Facebook and messaging during the show.2 -
i laughed harder at that than i should have!No wonder they're going bust if nobody on site has a screwdriver.0 -
id also heard it from a mate by txt but he uses Twitter and has a habit of picking up random shite online and trying to pass it off as reliable info he was privy to. sure you know the sortWho knows tbh.
The rumour came from Pete O'Rourke on Twitter who unlike the nonsense #ITK accounts and frauds like Agent Scotland at least has an actual name and a face (and is followed on Twitter by our GM and a few of our players) but he also had us, Hibs and United in for Matt Kilgallon from Accies which obviously didn't happen either. So...pinch of salt and all that.
I doubt we'd be pushing Hartley out the door given he's our captain but as was discussed at the time on here it doesn't seem that wild that a loan to the end of the season could have suited everyone.0 -
at least hes direct and seems willing to take a man on. something we have been lacking. looks from those highlights that he is very right footed hence always cutting in. makes a player easy to defend against. ive only seen him a few times but looks an improvement on calvin miller so upwards for us i hope! thanks for the feedback anyway
Wouldn’t say he was an out and out winger.
The st mirren game in the league cup he played centrally he was excellent but again it was against a dreadful st mirren.
In terms of wing play he’s more of an “inside forward” in that he likes to cut in off the left onto his right foot.
Watch the stenhousemuir highlights to see what he’s capable of but also observe the defending is pretty dreadful. When defences aren’t as generous he struggles.1 -
i suggested pawlett a few weeks ago but that didnt seem to go down too well. apart from him i wouldnt get too excited by anyone epse they got

oh and i appreciate your feedback mate

would you class him as an out and out winger? seems most folk would have him playing right wing. does he have a left foot on him as well? also coild he play that number 10 role? sorry for the hundred questions.
been going through your old highlights on line and cant say hes standing out. despite that ive read enough about the lad to keep my positive about this more0 -
i think we have done reasonable business this window, on paper anyway, and im confident about our chances for the rest of the season now.
hypocritical question now but who would you have liked to see signed this window? no berbatov/adam pish but someone that we could realistically had a chance at.
mine would have been peter Hartley from Motherwell for a start. there was a few rumours he could leave and woild have walked into our defence.
second shout would have been scougall from the fermers. think he might have added that spark we were missing.
over to you guys!0 -
id be very surprised. if he stays in scotland he will end up at morton or maybe queens. they will then punt him on to dumbarton or such like.Always thought he looked a decent player wouldn't be a surpraise for another team in this league to take a chance on him.
shame as i rated him when he applied himself. just didnt happen enough.0 -
does anyome know if there was ever any truth in peter Hartley leaving or was that just shite on here? if there was a chamce he could leave id have been hoping we were in for him

its a completely pointless debate but im half cut on a friday night and was looking for opinions on wright. no idea why an airdrie fan would start that debate though.
Ultimately it’s a totally pointless debate so it’s odd that an Airdrie fan is so keen to engage in it.
Personally I think it’d be a fairly even split in terms of first XI of the two clubs.
also thinking id probably have McGregor ahead of Lewis despite him being a massive bellend.
anyway, whats your opinion on wright? seems from comments made he will be a great signing and would still get a good few appearances for you off the bench?
we need width so im happy with his signing albeit thats coming mainly from comments than me seeing him in the flesh.0 -
just read the last page or so about what aberdeen players would make the rangers team. from someone impartial i tjink its the other way around. morelos, despite being s total c**t, would make it and then there is candeias but he wouldmt be there every week. he blows far too hot and cold. defoe and davis are great players but dont deserce a place yet

just like uefa couldnt prohibit a player playing against a club he has signed a PCA with. does this make it a gentleman's agreement between clubs then or have the spfl stepped in to stop it?
UEFA doesn't allow parent clubs to prohibit on-loan players from competing against them. As was the case when Patrick Roberts was allowed to play against his parent club (and indeed score) when we faced Man City in the CL.
I wouldn't go as far as saying it "impinges on sporting integrity" as you put it.
Kilmarnock and previously Aberdeen (in the cases of Mulumbu and Christie) are under no obligation to accept the loaned player.
They must feel that the deal is worth taking, and can indeed improve their squad.0 -
agreed. Ralph was really come on. i slated him to begin with, particularly after the dunfermiline game, but glad he has shut me up. unless he sustains a serious injury im happy with what we have. The thing about left back is it's the easiest position on the pitch to fill in at. You aren't really relied on to go forward so if you sit tight, don't get done over your right foot and are prepared to put your body on the line to stop the cross you will be fine.
However it is one of the hardest positions on the pitch to be really good at. Teams that have a stand out left back are rare. That's why the Tierneys and Robertsons of this world are sought after. We actually do have a decent one for our level so are quite comfy really.
can always play kusunga out there again [emoji23]0 -
can see him going 3 at the back often.McIntyre loved a 3-5-2 at county.Fair enough actually that would work. Absolutely buzzing about tomorrow for the first time in a wee while.

yeah thats the only position that doesnt have an obvious replacement but theres still options. its a disaster but kerr can cover LB or a shift to 352 with a deep defensive midfielder. that would stifle opponents. there is options within the squadMy biggest concern is a less than scrupulous team identifying our ONE and ONLY LB as a target, and, should a sporting injury occur, an easy way in.0 -
im hoping that keyes will be writting off this expensive clear out given that it was them that appointed McCann (embarrassingly begging him remember!) and them that sanctioned those long contracts. off course we dont need to worry about it happening again as our board learn from expensive mistakes.I'd imagine the money we got for Kamara would offset a chunk of that, depending on whether we got £45k or £100k.
i think its been a positive window anyway. every area we needed addressed has been. bomb scare GK has been replaced, competition accross the back 4 apart from LB, we have seen dales has flair and so does wright plus we have brought in more options up front.
IMO if either the new lads Robson or O'Sullivan can bring a bit of fight in to the middle of the park we will be fine this season.
McIntyre needs to get the team gelled pronto. as in yesterday! id be having a social night at dens for the players, their wives and all the staff. McGowans invitation would have been "lost in the post" though!
tomorrow will also be the first time this season we will have options from the bench!1 -
just opened a bag of wine gums and theres no black ones in it

especially given how much we got into them after the doon derbyThe biggest fear of all is united in the playoffs for me0 -
wheres randomguy when you need him?Can someone do a list of what players have came in and gone in the January window please0 -
-
i sincerely hope you dont get that appointment!Would not see that being a popular appointment. Hopefully Allan Maitland has a strong set of key requirements and we get a solid replacement in to take us back to where Alex Neil left off.0 -
he have a regular interaction. the subject matter is the only thing that changes. for example:-This is turning into a regular exchange:
Wife: Honey?
Me (in a different room): Yes?
Silence
Me, a bit louder: Yes?
Silence
Me, louder still: Yes?
Silence
Me, voice quite raised now: Yes?
Silence
Me: *eyes turn black, ground begins to shake, flocks of birds take off in alarm*: YES?
Wife: No need to shout
her: times tea ready?
me (calmly): about 10 minutes?
her: im only asking?
me: i only answered!
no idea why she feels the need to do this but it is more frequent every 4 weeks for a few days4 -
