years ago my pin was part of my national insurance number. should really go back to that. my first card i changed to 1987, my year of birth. not smart but there was nothing to steal back then!I keep an old train ticket in my wallet with a pretend phone number scribbled on it and my pin in the middle.0 -
probably in hindsight but can you not only use contactless 3 times a day? sure i had managed to block my card attempting my pin anyway. just had a complete brain fartWould it not have been quicker to queue up more than once and make multiple sub-£30 payments?0 -
i did the sane in aldi a few weeks ago. had to drive to the branch for cash then back to aldi for the shopping. remembered my pin when i got homeI bought something on my card that exceeded £30 on Saturday and had to enter my pin to pay, then half an hour later I tried to withdraw cash and completely forgot my pin, I still can’t remember what it is.0 -

theres 5 indians in forfar that i could get a meal for 2, delivered, for under £20. theres only 2 i ever useas they are far superior to the rest.See it would be the opposite for us in Dunfermline - if we got a starter, main and rice/chips from our local Chinese it would be around £20 plus delivery for the 2 of us, but the same idea from one of the Indians would be about £30. Sadly there are several superb Indian takeaways and not so many Chinese ones here!

i dont really lile chinese takeaway food so dont order it often. tend to find its all greasy, soy sauce soaked crap. indian, save for the excess oil that seems to be on every curry, is much more enjoyable.Have Chinese takeaways got worse of late?
Around 10 years ago there seemed to be a real push for non MSG nice quality food, but lately it all seems to be that gloopy tasteless stuff. Indians by comparison seem to be getting better.0 -

when we get a Chinese takeawah it will usually come to about £30. chinese, for some reason, always seems to wirk out alot dearer than any other takeaway. she had one last night, £8 special chow mein, £3.80 salt and pepper chips and £4.50 prawn cocktail plus £2 delivery. £18.30 for one person.
the indian isnt nearly so dear with their meal deal for 2. £14.95 for 2 pilau rice, 2 currys, vegetable pakora, nan bread, popadoms, pakora sauce and onion chutney. plus £2 delivery.
the Chinese in forfar are also a nightmare for making any changes to their set meals. in otherwords no changes!0 -

i hate crawling b*****ds like the domestic assistant you describe. usually spend a great deal of time chatting/crawling to management who start out think they are great. quickly realise they are workshy, lazy b*****ds and the nice conversation are bollocks excuses to do hee haw.A couple of crackers are at my work just now.
A new "domestic assistant" started a couple of months ago, and he's one of those people who talk a power of shite and do anything apart from their actual job. Numerous complaints have been made already about him not cleaning rooms properly and leaving storerooms containing dangerous equipment and chemicals wide open. This guy went on a rant last week about the organisation employing two receptionists, saying that the organisation was "haemorrhaging money" by employing two receptionists. I almost replied that the company was haemorrhaging money by employing fuckwits like him.
A "handyman" started around the same time, and highlights of his tenure so far include him sawing the bottom off a door (which was too tight and was scraping the floor when you opened or closed it) while it was still attached to the doorframe, locking numerous doors that require to be permanently open to allow access, and removing perfectly functioning locks from doors, tampering with them so that they don't work anymore then putting them back on only to have to repeat the process again. Oh, and he left a Stanley knife lying around in a locked ward containing Mental Health patients. He has also made numerous comments about wanting to "do" young Japanese women so is definitely OFTW.0 -

That world event will be closer to your DOB than today.

i think he will be judged on performances from yesterday until the end of the season now hes made his signings. hopefully its a disaster but not as big a disaster as hamilton!
