  1. Both of which are based on the fact the league itself made the decision to end the season, without putting it to the members to vote...which didn’t happen here. We had a vote to end the season based on points per game and it was carried. Ergo, your point is irrelevant... Further to that, when the rules of membership of an organisation allow executive powers to make decisions based on a vote, and your club sign up to abide by those rules you really don’t have much of a leg to stand on in a court of law. (See SPFL rule 84)
  2. Bitter much? Just accept that no matter how much blustering and p*sh you come out with that Hearts were the worst team in the league this season and Budge is to blame...she and Levein screwed your club over even worse than Albert Kidd! #notalwaysstmirrensfault
  3. Personally I think the idea of having the split after 26 games is the kicker here and is ultimately what will kill this idea off. If you have the split so early you’ve potentially got a situation where a clubs form could improve drastically in the second half of the season, with players gelling more or a manager finding tactics which suit and could go on a run of games, amass points which could have potentially moved them up the table and yet still be stuck at a plateau of 7th. In addition to that, you’re going to end up with teams in the bottom half having a longer season than those in the top...which seems inherently stupid. At the end of the day, Scottish football has spent enough time talking about reconstruction and I’m still yet to see any proposal which isn’t going to either cause the problems above, result in changes to the allocation of money on positions, or serve any purpose other than to save Hearts from the relegation they ultimately deserve. I’ll admit these aren’t normal circumstances but they had 30 games to prove they weren’t sh*te and failed dismally, winning only four matches. If their fans spent as much time chasing change from within and complaining about the responsible parties in this matter (ie Budge, Levein, and Stendel, along with their underperforming and overpaid players), and less time moaning that the rules are unfair, or that the league is rigged, or that OF Colts are a great idea, or moaning about court cases, or whining on Kickback like b*tches with skint knees then I imagine the rest of Scottish football would be more sympathetic to their situation. Hopefully, the other clubs when voting look at this for what it is, a pathetic attempt at gerrymandering on behalf of one club. If this were St Mirren, or Ross County or Hamilton this would never have gone this far...and for better or worse the spectre of reconstruction for the foreseeable future can GTF (as can that useless w*nkstain Doncaster)!
  4. Congratulations to to SPFL on managing to make what should be a simple vote and ending all the uncertainty and spectacularly cocking it up. It’s gone far enough already...the colt teams can get in the f*cking sea and Hearts should just go down with at least a single shred of dignity left.
  5. Any idea of a release date by any chance DJC? I’ve heard a few rumours about the kit and they all seem to be along the same lines which makes me think some have had a sneaky peek.
  6. Why would the people of Paisley care? That’d be Hamilton and Ross County joining Hearts in the championship...
  7. That’s an SPFL rule... not the CAS. Not that it makes much of a difference anyway as decisions made in Belgian or French courts will have no bearing on decisions made here. One of the conditions of SPFL membership is that a member club will follow a strict appeals process involving the CAS as the ultimate authority for an appeal. Failure to do so is a breach of membership conditions and quite rightly if Hearts chose to try take legal action through the domestic courts the SPFL would be able to expel them for failing to follow the terms of membership. Very much still on table then...unlike the prospect of reconstruction.
  8. More last minute grasping at straws from the maroon community. They’re becoming almost as embarrassing as their chairman!
  9. Just seen that... I personally think it’s disgusting that Doncaster is trying to push this so hard of behalf of Hearts. If the clubs don’t want temporary reconstruction as proposed then let them vote and reject it, instead of trying to offer alternatives and dragging it out. They were relegated on their own sporting inability, and this protracted attempt to keep them up is not only embarrassing, but it’s a slap in the face to all of the other clubs in Scottish football who lose out in the proposed reconstruction and if they were in Hearts position wouldn’t have been given the time of day. So this explains why we have hardly heard anything when it was supposed to be dealt with on Monday...
  10. Agreed. Based on the fact it’s not the league choosing not to play matches but government stepping in and preventing them from doing so it may even be the case that Sky can’t claim for losses. If there’s a ‘Force Majeure’ clause in the current contract covering epidemics, pandemics, or government interventions then both parties could be relieved of their contractual obligations without penalty due to the circumstances being totally unforeseeable when the contract was drawn up. Even if not, the current circumstances could be seen as frustration, preventing one or both parties from fulfilling the obligations of the contract. I doubt a court would see the league failing to finish as entirely their fault and imposing financial penalties. It may be the case that Sky already know they’re be unlikely to enforce any penalties and for the sake of goodwill and continuation of the next contract they’ve agreed not to push for it?
  11. The only ‘huge dent’ in Scottish football at the moment is the reputational one being brought about by your absolute tit of a chairman running her mouth. Budge has nobody else to blame except herself...she hired Levein as Director of Football, she then hired him as manager, she then kept him too long despite him being as successful as pork sausages at a Bar Mitzvah; then hired Stendel, who couldn’t inspire himself out of a paper bag never mind his players. She allowed the two of them to spunk shedloads of cash on players that were frankly mince; spending more than any of their bottom-six counterparts, and still could only scrape together four wins out of thirty games! Doesn’t exactly sound like the methods of a successful businesswoman to me...standing about praising yourself while Rome burns. Maybe instead of bleating about how it’s unfair, or the league is biased, or the voting system isn’t fit for purpose, or magic benefactors, or how Hearts are too big to be in the Championship; all Hearts fans and board members should take it out on the real culprit...Budge! PS, fair play on the Hamilton front as I think all of Scottish football agree they’re a bit tinpot, but referring to St Mirren as ‘mickey mouse’ is a bit sour grapes...you’d think we had screwed you over in the past or something?
  12. Why not? A musician who produces mostly depressing ballads sharing the name of a prolific yet slightly balding Hibee...I can’t think of anyone better to wind up all the droves of Hearts fans?
  13. Someone needs to put her out of her misery, she’s just becoming more embarrassing by the day. Accept that you f*cked up hiring Levein, then hiring Stendel, then buying a whole load of players who you couldn’t afford and turned out to be sh*te, and only managed to win four games out of thirty. The only person Budge and Hearts fans should be blaming for their situation is Budge herself. Not the league, not the other clubs (blaming St Mirren for your own failings is so 1986), not the voting structure, and not the Covid.
  14. Pretty much everyone signed by Alan Stubbs as St Mirren manager...with maybe exception of Cody Cooke, jury is still out there!
  15. Willie Collum to start laser eye treatment for the apparent inability to make decisions correctly? Douglas Ross to be chastised for turning up with a Tory party flag to run the line instead of his standard issue one? St Mirren to finish in top six by the skin of our teeth causing Tony Fitzpatrick to spontaneously combust? Neil Lennon to move on from Celtic after realising he could be replaced by a random number generator and still achieve the same results...something to do with having players worth more than some of their opponent clubs? VAR to be introduced, but only for testicle grabbing moments? Hearts to appoint Craig Levein as manager/sporting director following Daniel Stendel's inevitable demise? Alan Lithgow back on the register?
  16. The last line give me hope he’ll stay. Its in St Mirren’s court, he wants to stay and even stayed to play the Rosario game as a trialist...we should aim to keep him
  17. Would love to see it happen, but I just don't think it will. Too many other, bigger clubs have him on their radar.
  18. You're bang on there BM. Agree with everything you've said...Hopefully Smith in behind Mullen to start with then maybe bring on Brock-Madsen for the last 15-20 mins once wee Danny has run himself out...
  19. I for one am looking forward to seeing how the players gel, not only under a new manager but with so many changes in playing staff. I think Stubbs is making the right choice in bringing in hungry, younger talent from other leagues, and blending them with the experience we have in players like McGinn, Eckerslie and MacKenzie. Hopefully a couple more seasoned players (particularly a goalscorer or two to feed off the supply from players like Smith, Hippo and Flynn) to come in. I'm not totally averse to the rumours about Stokes, as he's clearly knows where the goal is, provided Stubbs can control him and his off the field sh*te like he managed to at Hibs. Wouldn't take Miller though. It'll be an interesting season ahead...
  20. We felt the same about Jack Ross, but unfortunately football management is a fickle game, and managing to take you guys up with back to back promotions and on a shoe-string budget means he's now on the radar for every managerial merry-go-round between now and the start of the season. I for one hope he does come out publicly and stay with you, at least then it'll end the rumours that he's on our shortlist. Much as though he's proved to be a shrewd operator, his style of play isn't what we're looking for just now.
  21. See above...'little to no mention'. The article you posted was put on that website after my comment was posted, but prior to that there was one article in about 20 that even mentioned Jack. That paper seems to have linked everyone from Paul Hurst to my gran's dug to the job. Almost as bad as the Evening Telegraph for just posting sh*te to fill space...they'll be hiring Tom Duthie anyday now!
