It looks like it will be a fantasy now but I'd love to have seen what Jack Ross could have achieved in the top flight.
The obvious worry is he had the ability to convince guys like McGinn, Davis and Cammy Smith to play at a level clearly below them. Hopefully the new guy has that pull too but managers like that are rare.
I fully expect Ipswich to be a Premiership club in the next 2-3 years.I don't think any of the 3 players you mentioned could now play at English championship level.

Any prospect of Fowler getting it?
Can't see it , I think they come a package. As it stands, there is no available vacancy at present for management at our club.

Would like to keep the outfield Stewart, Todd, McShane and Gary Mac. Kirkpatrick and Stellios for me are "maybes" in the sense that they could be useful as backup players but I doubt they'd stick around for slim pickings.
The goalkeeping Stewart, Whyte, O'Keefe, Flanagan, Horne I just can't say as I've either not seen them or they've not had enough time for me to make a decision.
Duffy, Sutton, Donati, Irivine are, imo, not suitable for the top league.
Of the loan players, it would be great to get Smith and Morgan back on loan (or even permanent for Smith), but we'll just need to wait and see. Hill has come presumably as cover and (I believe) not even come on as a late sub so have no idea whether he'd be worth getting on loan again next season.
It's really difficult to work out what or who we need other than just general comments (like my, "we could do with having a bit more of a physical presence"). Who knows who might pop up onto our radar during the Summer?
Hill came on against Aberdeen in the cup.

I wouldn't read too much into it, Stelios posts stuff like that at times.
That said I'd be tempted to offer him a deal.
Edit, so will the coffee shops of Renfrewshire too!
Coffee shops ! Changed days , it used to be pubs back in the days of Paul McKnight.

Younger and less injury prone yes.. but also nowhere near as good.
I wouldn't say nowhere as good. They both have different attributes . I'd be happy enough if he was offered a new contract.

So do Saints fans think it’s all over then?
Yesterday we get a great win away in Dumfries, and our two closest rivals both drop points at home...
... and not a peep on this thread, and barely anything from Saints fans on the match day thread either.
I guess it’s true that bad news sells more than good!
Nearly but not quite. If we increase our lead after the next 3 or 4 games, then I'll start to relax a bit.
As for the lack of chat from Saints fans , I reckon there are a few hangovers going by the condition of yesterdays crowd in Dumfries. That might have something to do with it. That and possible nerves of getting over the finishing line.

Big Mark was voted cult hero by Saints fans. I'll never forget his last goal for the club which was against Morton at Cappielow in a cup game. It was one of those "Did that really just happen?" moments. Waltzed through the Ton defence and buried it to win the game.
The Archie Gemmill goal was one of my favourites of his. I remember shouting hit it , before he ghosted by 3 ton defenders and buried it. Top man Boom Boom.

That Facebook 'Memories' thing has just informed me that eight years ago today I received tickets for a cup final in the post. It's weird, because I can't even remember Saints getting to a final in 2010.
Definitely a mistake mate, it was 2013. We definitely didn't play in the league cup in 2010. Fake news.

Yeah. You'd imagine 70 points should be enough.
Livi would need to win 7/10 to reach that and United 10/13. Both teams could maybe do that but thats assuming we only win 3 more and draw 1 more game out the next 9.
Mortons last couple of results have ruled them out, can't believe Duffy prioritised the Celtic cup game instead of the Livi one, and some Ton fans saying at least Livi closed the gap on us after the game!Sometimes stats aren't conclusive. We will still win this league/championship.

Dundee offered Ross terms. We countered that with a new contract with a bigger salary that is the facts.
You shouldn't let the facts get in way though.

Never in doubt. Absolutely superb news . Now let's get this league won.

Quitongo is a one trick pony IMO, and that is his strength. He can score the occasional goal of quality at this level but so could Shankand. Add to that , he appears to be injury prone. Not for me.

Not on twitter or all other sources. As above post says he is under contract to Hearts plus we are in Februry?
Ah well, just need to sign him in the summer.
