Oh, it was just that person was it? Is that what your mates on the Board have told you? Lol

I don't have a single mate on the board. Don't know any of them I'm afraid so in that respect you are talking complete rubbish. He was the main man behind that almighty feck up and should always be remembered for that. The single worst decision in the history of the club. Craig excel spreadsheet Campbell take a bow.

I see you didn't actually bother to read my post. You also have no clue what the Foundation exists to achieve. How many have come through the Academy whose job it literally is by the way?

Over the years numerous from the lee millers and mark kerrs to the boys we have now.  I always thought the foundation was always about getting kids playing football it was you that said they were producing Falkirk players of the future which is why I asked that question.

The player is offside when seeking an unfair advantage. How the hell is a few mm seeking an unfair advantage? If the players are in line, they're in line with each other with no unfair advantage by the attacker. No defender can claim for "offside" over a miniscule difference in position. VAR can and does to the absolute detriment to our game. For a technology brought in to prevent clear and obvious errors it has now degenerated into a de facto mechanism to rule out great goals. Entertainment & excitement come first with fitba'. VAR ruins that; the worst introduction to our game ever.

Var was brought in to prevent huge mistakes but is being used to micro manage the game unfortunately. It's not just offside the handball law is nonsense and var simply makes things worse by enforcing it rather than letting officials use common sense.

  4. The current bod has absolutely feck all to do with what happened with crawf and Sarah or the Denis canavan stuff. It's got feck all to do with the inchyra shambles too. That's history and to try and connect it to the guys running the club just now is just nonsense. As a matter of interest how many Falkirk players have come through the foundation in recent years?

This is what is wrong with the offside law as it is now. It needs to go back to being clear daylight between players and give the forward the advantage.

To say Morrison was clearly offside is a bit much and the closeness to the linesman makes his decision difficult

In my opinion yesterday’s move that led to the equaliser should be onside and ultimately goal.

Being a bawhair in front of a defender shouldn’t be deemed offside.

Not the law that's the issue if you ask me its the way it's enforced under var that is. Football was never meant to be officiated down to the last mm.  Don't agree with the daylight idea though as you would end up with defences lying far too deep and standing off every attacker making it far too easy. I just don't agree with the whole lines rubbish. Again football was never meant to be officiated using lines. Give the var official a couple of looks from different angles with the naked eye and if he can't decide whether it's off or on  you go with the onfield decision.  I can't remember ever going home after a Falkirk game and getting a ruler out to stick on the TV to see if someone's big toe was offside or not. If it's that close you can't tell with the naked eye then just go with the linesman instead of this lines rubbish.

I thought McGinn had a very decent game. Never wasted a ball first half and cut them open a good few times. Of course he can only last around 60 minutes but seems he’s quickly becoming a scapegoat as he’s not got the legs Spencer does.

Spot on. I thought he did fine.

If we are unbeaten I would start our strongest 11, an invincible season is history making and never likely to be repeated. I’d try and get the game won and then as you say bring players on that need an appearance for a medal, the full squad has contributed and it wouldn’t be nice if any of them missed out.

Our possibly strongest 11 if Hogarth is in goals is all our own players anyway I think.  Question is whether Tait gets in and whether big tam Lang gets back to fitness enough to play most of  the remaining games.

Start Sam as it’s his month and once/if the game is in the bag then bring Nicky on. That’s how I would sort it out, but I wouldn’t want to make that call.

I'd prioritise our players for that game . Players signed for us and more importantly the players signed up for next season and beyond should be the starting points. Then anyone needing an appearance for a medal if any.

True he hasn’t started a huge number but he has been involved in every game this season so he has had an opportunity.

Aye but coming on for 20 mins or less and then having to get up to speed with the game it's not the same. Now I'm not saying he should've got more starts certainly not over the form of our starters I'm just saying it's difficult to show your very best when your coming on off the best or starting the odd game here or there. Keeping him would depend on his wages and who else is available.

McGlynn and Falkirk are in a much better place this closed season for attracting very good additions to an already settled and very strong squad.

If you were a player considering your options, where else outside the top league would you consider going next season, especially if Dundee United go up and Livi come down?

Playing in the Championship, most weeks we are selling out stands home and away (highest attendances in the League, Pars aside possibly), on TV most weeks, playing attractive football, settled and respected management team, happy dressing room, fan owned, modern facilities/stadium, feel good factor back, pot guaranteed game time (squad rotation!?). Probably well over 3,000 season tickets will be sold next season.

I'm hoping McGlynn will have his pick of who is available and he wants, especially if we wrap the league up early and can get in for players earlier than others. Higher wages being paid elsewhere might be the only challenge - eg Livi parachute payments, Morton cup run money, sugar daddy owners etc

Do we think there are any League 1 good players he might be interested in for next season that we have seen this season?

It should be an exciting close season if we manage to finish the job. Mcglynns recruitment has been superb considering the fact we have been a league one club competing against championship clubs for the best full time players in the main. Next year we will be on a far more level playing field to entice even better quality to come and wear the navy blue.

Steven is on loan as well, of course.

If he re signs with them I'd be asking St Johnstone if they fancied giving him another years loan a league up. Every chance they'd agree to that I'd have thought and we did a good job with max last season who is now in their first team squad. At 19 I'd expect they will offer him a contract to ensure they get a development fee for him at the very least.

    Interesting stats- thanks for sharing.

Nesbitt’s return isn’t great considering he’s started nearly every game this season at number 10. Personally I would like another option to compete with him for that position next season. It may be worth giving Oliver a run of games there to see if he could be that player.

Nesbitt created more mind you. 3rd most assists in the league for him with 8.

Yeah still got a year left but I can't see them being that difficult to deal with.

Depends on his wages at Hibs though. Perhaps more likely to be a loan deal for next season if he's on a decent amount there. I doubt he'll be on anything crazy but it still could be more than we could afford

  14. We huffed and puffed a bit today but the 3 points are all that matters. Certainly missed a bit of physicality in the middle of the park where we struggled at times although I thought Tait was excellent today. Spencer was uncharacteristically poor for me and nesbitt didn't have a great game. Thought shanley played well some great hold up play and lovely link ups with Morrison and miller he was unfortunate to get hooked but macivers flick on for the winner was just what we have come to expect from him.  Big hendo was decent years struggled for me and miller failed to make much of an impact. Ross was lovely when he came on.All.in all another 3 points ticked off and Dumfries next .

Here's the site the foundation have asked for, assume the building itself will be a bit smaller than that

I'm sure in Martin Ritchie's book he states that originally the council was supposed to have given the stadium company the land behind the stadium right up to the railway line and then reneged on it at a later date. This had hindered plans for developing that area and building a fourth stand

Not trying to be a p***k here but this thread started in 2011 when you were in the premiership and now you're in league One (championship) so how does that serve a reminder on how far you've come?

We weren't in the premiership in 2011.

If the positions you mentioned that have to be filled to be competitive next season ain't a rebuild 6-7 players how would you describe it?

You have just contradicted yourself and agreed with my post that kicked the discussion off.

A rebuild would be replacing the majority of  your starting players but I very much doubt Pedro was meaning that. We might not need a right back depending on how the boy from Cumbernauld turns out.
