  1. Technically, France only borders the Kingdom of the Netherlands, not the actual country The Netherlands as that's only a constituent country of the kingdom, like St. Maarten is as well (the other 2 are Aruba and Curacao).
  2. Considering there are far more than 42 senior teams in Scotland, Albion Rovers weren't the worst senior team in the first place. The likes of Fort William, Inverkeithing or Eyemouth will come close to that title.
  3. I know the FA control all pyramid (re)allocations, I just used this example as this was the only main geographical overlap at the start of the pyramid anywhere in the top 4 steps. I agree that the SFA would have to do it in a similar way. ERJFA could in such a way eventually become the feeder for Tayside, Perthshire & Fife with the EOS covering the Borders, Lothians & Edinburgh for example.
  4. If the SFA are going to railroad this through (if they can), they should do that with more relegation from the LL as well indeed. If there are 4 feeder leagues into the LL, there should be 2 promotion spots (like winner of ERJFA v EOS & winner WRJFA v SOS) and possibly a play-off for the 3rd bottom LL team as well, that seems reasonable enough to me. Either you push a number of changes through at once to get everyone in, or just don't bother at all. But the SFA should then go further as well and follow the example in England between the Southern & Isthmian league by making them change towards their own (non-overlapping) geographical areas.
  5. I was in San Marino as well, pretty much everyone joined in with that tbh.
  6. Curacao are doing well these days. They're much stronger than they were not too long ago. Most of their players are now full-time professionals playing in The Netherlands.
  7. You'd almost think the EU are occupied with something else at the moment...
  8. Has a backstop on the Tay border been agreed?
  9. LTHV could still get there if they win their games in hand, there is a good chance that conference B will also produce the best 6th place finisher.
  10. Ok, this is then still a friendlier and better discussion...
  11. Could the standards still get any lower in this thread?
  12. Yes, it's based on that scenario. If that happens, number 15 & 14 get relegated and the EOS champion (if licensed) gets promoted. However, the vacancy from Selkirk still has to be filled, which will be by application. The number 15 (and 14 if relegated) can also apply for that spot. It's even possible that 2 spots have to be filled by application: HL champion promoted & EOS champion not licensed.
  13. I would quite fancy EK to beat Cove tbh, they are definitely better than Spartans were last season.
  14. That was quite some finish to the game. And Ibesevic being shocked that he got sent off. Quite hilarious tbh!
  15. Floodlights have not become a demand for playing in the (senior) Scottish Cup, only for licensing. If you win the Junior Cup and/or West Premier Division, you will play in it again next season.
  16. Largely a decent plan imo. For the North I'd like to add "travel subsidies" for remote teams, similarly to what the Scottish Rugby Union & the French FA do. This will enable island clubs to play in the NCL and possibly get promoted to the HL if they do well.
  17. Another club killed by a dodgy owner...
  18. Out of all 25 threads on the first page of the junior forum, exactly 2 contain talk about the pyramid. That's this thread, which is the main pyramid thread and the Fauldhouse thread. The latter is just a handful of posts because of their recent decision to stick with the juniors in the new format. So there are 23 threads with no pyramid talk at all and with the weekend coming up, the Fauldhouse thread will probably go back to just football chat as well. So your claims that the same people go on and on about it in loads of different threads is simply not true...
  19. As far as I'm aware, they were planning on talking to East Craigie, North End, and Violet. That was weeks ago I heard that so not sure what's happened since, if anything. There should be plenty of options around, I hope something gets sorted. What exactly is being done Whitton Park?
  20. Lol, all the pyramid talk on the Junior forum would have been left to this topic if you had not bumped so many old threads up. I only post in pyramid threads or relevant club threads if there is pyramid-related news for them about the pyramid. I've just posted a football related post in the Junior Cup thread. And as I go to a juniors game tomorrow, I'll post about that one tomorrow as well. I post about what interests me in the relevant threads and ignore the rest. Not very hard to do.
  21. Here is an idea, if you don't like this thread, ignore it and post in other threads (or open new ones) about actual football stuff.
  22. Yes... (in a number of Eastern European countries)
  23. The Pyramid wont be balanced by 16 clubs. And tbh, other than Lochee & Broughty I can't really see any north of Tay club being capable of making the step up to tier 5 in the medium-long term, regardless of whether it's HL or LL. So for the sake of a decent pyramid, I have no issue in getting 2 clubs into the tier 5 league they prefer.
  24. No, not that. Overnight ferry from Newcastle could be an option.
