  1. But they will. We can all see the way the wind is blowing. The East juniors have done an enormous volte face in the last 12 months and it will be the west's turn in the next 12 months. The clubs will determine their direction of travel in the next year, not this ethereal SJFA that people are so keen to point a finger at.The east has its tier 5 league and the west clubs, superior as a whole to the east tier 5 clubs have an incontrovertible case for entry into the pyramid at tier 5. I can understand why the east clubs don't fancy the prospect.
  2. What do you think the SJFA is other than the sum of its clubs? . If the clubs want it they will push for it The west clubs (including it would seem the top West Lothian clubs) are stronger as a whole than the current Lowland clubs which will only be enhanced relative to the west by Bonnyrigg from the new crop entering the EoS. Commonsense dictates the pyramid will only make sense when the effectively Lowland East and South league has a counterpart West league. Just as there is no connection between the HL and LL there need not be any connection between the LL which serves the east and and new tier 5 SJFA Superleague serving the West.
  3. Alternatively, the already strong West Juniors, enhanced by Bo’ness and Linlithgow can make an even stronger case for forming the tier 5 Lowland West in 2019-20 or 2020-21.
  4. How many of next season's tier 6 EOS clubs can actually be promoted to the LL?
  5. All the east hasn't gone. A minority of clubs has gone. The EoS set up for next season is nothing at all to do with the PWG
  6. There's no guarantee Alloa would be one of the 16 most westerly loctions and who knows were Cumbernauld will be playing? What do you think they are afraid of?
  7. We can't be having the tail wagging the dog. The only vaguely west teams in the LL are EK and Cumbernauld (and we don't know where they'll be playing next season). Why on earth would any club argue against more regionalised football at this level and better representation for the central belt.
  8. The problem with that is that 1/5th of the population has one tier 5 league - the Highland League, and 4/5ths has one tier 5 league - the Lowland League. By 2019-20 there should be a Lowland West and a Lowland East at tier 5, with the 16 most suitable clubs in the Lowlands being added and given one year in which to achieve licensing (if not licensed already).
  9. Absolutely nothing on their twitter feed.
  10. Well, it was starting from a very low baseline so even the dimmest lights of the juniors are going to make it better.
  11. No I was definitely replying to a post about next season's East Superleague. You seem to be a bit confused.
  12. Yes, let's have a pyramid with the dross a division or two above the decent teams. You know it makes sense (in the wacky world of the EoS).
  13. I thought we were discussing next season's East Superleague. I was comparing with next season's not so super EoS. Are you wanting to compare next season's East Superleague with 2019-20 EoS?
  14. Careful, son. You're lapsing into your delusions again.
  15. ...and then you look at the general dross in the EoS and think maybe not too bad after all.
  16. Their choice. Better competition for them either way - if it's the WoSFL the better clubs will probably start a step higher than if they join the EoSFL.
  17. So the only fly in the ointment is the EoS.
  18. If you are arguing against what I have written, I haven't the slightest idea what your point is.
