  1. If you are arguing against what I have written, I haven't the slightest idea what your point is.
  2. If they were to win it they would win it on merit, not by default.
  3. Only if it were seriously being suggested that the West juniors wanting to join the pyramid be absorbed by the SoS. Provided there are sufficient clubs to form a new WoSL it doesn't really matter who's in the SoS.
  4. It's to get an ever-diminishing share of the crock of gold in the pyramid.
  5. I think that's shortsighted. OK the LL and the EoS as they are presently constituted are pretty poor - with just half a dozen or so clubs who would survive at the top level of the juniors but there will soon be a mass takeover by the junior clubs. The problem is going to be like the one the NHS has with bedblocking - it's going to take many years to weed out those occupying the top levels who shouldn't be there. The unstructured rush to join the EoS by a ragbag of East junior teams hasn't helped, of course. It'll just mean a longer wait until the proper order of things is restored.
  6. It certainly will! Some of us aren't getting any younger.
  7. Imagine Bo'ness, Linlithgow etc fighting for promotion so they can face the likes of Tweedmouth, Ormiston, Burntisland and the rest of the EoS dead wood. If there was ever a model of how not to construct a pyramid, this would be it.
  8. Aye, one season - the post I referred to said the EoSL would be running essentially in parallel with the East Junior Super League (or something similar) for a second season of parallel running. That's been suggested here before but I haven't seen any indication - and I don't see why the EoSL would have the inclination - for this happening. The EOS is not in charge of the SFA even though some posters appear to think it is.
  9. Junior clubs are free to play where they want. Montrose Roselea recently chose to transfer from the East region to the North region.
  10. Oh for goodness sake. Even if they lose by 4 goals to a team which doesn't want to win they are not one of the current defectors. Try and keep your nit picking to nits that need to be picked
  11. Bring on the Cumbernauld Colts and the Edusport Academy and the Edinburgh University at the Stirling University and the Civil Service Strollers and the BSC Glasgow/Alloa. Hawd me back!!!!
  12. Well Kelty won't be in the EOS and LTHV have never been in the Juniors so I have no idea what point you are trying to make. Perhaps you should read what I actually posted.
  13. I hate to break it to you but Kelty are no longer in the EOS and LTHV didn't leave the East Juniors.
  14. Alternatively you start by creating the second Lowland League starting in 2019-20 -with teams given a year to achieve licensing (similar to the creation of the current Lowland League) with applications invited as per current Lowland League and the most suitable clubs elected as per current Lowland League. You could create two divisions something like this: Lowland East Spartans Selkirk Civil Service Strollers Kelty Edinburgh Uni Whitehill Gala Cowdenbeath (!) Bonnyrigg (EOS) LTHV (EOS) Hill of Beath ((EOS) Dundonald (EOS) Bo'ness (ERJ) Broxburn (ERJ) Linlithgow (ERJ) Pencuik (ERJ) Lowland West East Kilbride BSC Glasgow Cumbernauld Colts Stirling Uni East Stirlingshire Edusport Academy Gretna Dalbeattie Auchinleck (WRJ) Pollok (WRJ) Petershill (WRJ) Cumnock (WRJ) Beith (WRJ) Kilwinning (WRJ) Clydebank (WRJ) Glenafton (WRJ)
  15. No they are better teams. Just look at results between top junior clubs and EOS/Lowland League teams. They consistently beat them. Just look where inferior East junior teams will finish up in the EOS at the end of next season. Rangers were a new team, a bit like Inverkeithing HS, and started at the bottom. The teams they fielded in SFL1 and 2 were not Championship quality.
  16. Next season the English tier 7 divisions which you have on a par with SPFL2 will increase from 3 to 4 and tier 8 from 6 to 7 (and probably later to 8). Many inEngland also believe that travel is excessive at part-time level.
  17. To be fair the final is at Wembley. Our equivalent is at Cowdenbeath.
  18. OK so next season junior clubs agree to join the pyramid. How do you create one that works? By placing teams like Bo'ness, Linlithgow, Penicuik two levels below Peebles Rovers and three levels below Whitehill Welfare. LOL!!! You people don't have a clue. The east section of the pyramid would be a laughing stock.
  19. Oh I how I love the quality of discourse here.
  20. So your working pyramid would have Penicuik or Linlithgow or Bo'ness two tiers behind Peebles Rovers or mebbe Dalkeith. I would say your working pyramid isn't fit for purpose.
  21. What on earth are you talking about? Do you understand what "points per game" actually means? Points won/divided by games played. Hill of Beath 33/24 1.375 Camelon 35/27 1.296
  22. Yes, there we have it. No interest in a working pyramid. They just want to be vindictive even if it makes the east section of the pyramid a total laughing stock.
  23. OK you are not able to give a general description of a team in the relegation zone for a drop into the third level of the east juniors. You really have painted yourself into a tiny corner with your hissy fit about Dalkeith being described as mediocre. "Under a different id! What on earth are you talking about? For a while you were telling me I was Isobel Goudie. LOL! Not that it matters on jot about ids. If I were Isobel Goudie would it matter? Opinion are opinions. Just try not to personalise things. Try to discuss issues rather than charging in hamfistedly and attacking individuals who happen to disagree with you. Deal with the message, not the messenger. If you did you might have a little more credibility.
