Assume a three way play off between WOS EOS and SOS for 2 spots as discussed on here as a potential scenario. EOS club misses out. 2 east region clubs relegated (possibly 3 if lowland has a surplus). EOS then has to relegate its usual 3 + an additional 2/3 if no lateral movement takes place. Up to 6/16 go down from the EOS.
These things do need to be thought about though. If the lowland goes to two relegation slots there could be a scenario of two coming down to the EOS and no licensed champion. Would you relegate five?
The problem with waiting is it gets messier once the WOS leagues are stable. It's much easier to move SOS teams into tier 6 WOS conferences than to try and slot them into an already full tier 6 league in 2 years' time.
I really hope Fauldhouse do the right thing and lead the remainder of the West Lothian teams into the EOS. Both the clubs and the leagues would benefit from their addition.
I doubt you would get 32 teams wanting to play across the highland area. Better to stick with NCL, north juniors, tayside and have licensed champions play off.
Good to see more movement towards a WOS after that awful SOS statement. Any non junior teams applying must be treated equally to the junior super league applicants. Seeded conferences should be the order of the day if there are more than 18 applicants.
