  1. I wonder if the west Lothian clubs will try and resuscitate this idea with whoever remains in the West Juniors.
  2. This is getting embarrassing now. Just let the clubs that want to go, go.
  3. It does all feel a bit different this time. Surely the ten teams can be found to start a WOS. I wonder too if there will be another stampede in the East. The EOS should announce that 20-21 is the last season new members can enter at level 7, to force the issue.
  4. They really should favour additional promotions over reprieves when there is only one relegation spot.
  5. With Brechin bottom this thread could be a waste of time...
  6. There is no point even discussing a LLW until there is a WOS league running with mostly licensed members.
  7. I'd have it as best placed licensed club in the top 3.
  8. It's good that there is clarity but the bottom club in a 16 team league should always be relegated regardless of what is going on. The pyramid needs more movement.
  9. Sorry but I hate the idea of a LL2. Why compromise a solid set up in the east for the sake of a handful of west clubs? Where would the west clubs in that league be relegated to? They might not want to go to the SOS. The lowland league should just set up a WOS and invite applicants. Surely they could get at least 10-12 clubs to get it off the ground.
  10. When you do that with more levels of the pyramid though and it filtering down I think it's more of a problem. A supporter watching their team trying to work out if they're going to be relegated during the final game, well, it'll be like an episode of Countdown... Yeah it's definitely better to know whether you're going to get relegated or not based on your own performance and not whether you've been unlucky or not with results in leagues you're not even in. It also allows more flexibility for relegation and playoff spots between the eos and the leagues below it. You could have 4 down with champions + playoff winners up. Whereas the possibility of 5/16 going down wouldn't be acceptable.
  11. The solution for the EOS is that the junior clubs within their footprint join their leagues. The boundary line is not a problem they have caused.
  12. What a shambles this is. You have to hope that the EJ clubs in EOS territory break the deadlock themselves by transferring voluntarily.
  13. This. What a joke. If they do go with this mad idea they should automatically promote the winners of the EOS and the WR and have the SOS and ER play-off for a third spot. You could increase the Lowland to 18 teams so that the possibility of 4 going down (if L champs stay down and a Lowland area club comes down) wasn't so terrible. Personally I think a LW and LE is the way to go. With LW, LE, H, and L2 10th playing off for a league place.
  14. I can't see why the PWG wouldn't just advise the remaining East Juniors to join the EOS, regardless of what is happening in the other regions. There is a path in place for them and they need to use it.
  15. All the good teams have left. There would be no justification. There's also the problem of where teams from the Lowland are relegated to when both leagues cover the same footprints.
  16. I think they want a 14 or 16 team Prem and hope for more applications to join regional divisions below that.
  17. You could even split the North Juniors into 2 leagues of roughly 16 along the Northern Coast and Eastern Coast. Then have 4 league winners (or 4 highest licensed clubs) playing off for 2 promo spots.
  18. Why does it need a merged top tier? Surely you can keep the leagues separate and have the winners go up to the Highland with two or three coming down?
  19. Would they not need to start at the bottom? Who in the West would voluntarily let them slot in above them?
