We were ok first half  & probably  should have been ahead  but difficult to see from where I was but looked as if two defenders with the chance to clear  a ball up the middle & neither doing it, 2 nd  goal  as well should have been cleared long before it arrived for a tap in at the back post. You could see the difference in midfields today East Fife usually  a couple touches & they were  threatening our goal, the Peterhead midfield need four or five passes across the park or back & are then faced with the other team set up defensively & we give the ball away .this  has been a regular thing this season & we now will be looking over our shoulder again

The midfield possession and control was good. But the front guys were pretty static.

Rory is a passenger at this point in time. Our problem is, his direct replacement is nearly 40!

Have to say Smith looked decent when he came on.

It was Jack Leitch worst performance in a long time, but he kept at it.

Need to get a proven goal scorer in January. Some excellent play now but let down by the lack of finishing.

McAllister and Lyle are showing the effects of age and injury but still good enough to share a game between them.

Armour and Smith, however, are not good enough for this level.

Really disappointed with Smith. Thought he would be worth the watching, but he's struggling to make his mark.

The most level game ever. No one deserved to win. no one deserved to lose.
Where did that ref come from. He was terrible, gave us absolutely nothing and the treatment dished out on Montrose players was shocking, especially Blair Lyons.

The third challenge / body slam meritted a red card alone.

Everybody would like a McAllister in their team but he's a greetin, cheating and moaning face ba$t@rd.

At the end of the day, a point away from home and an unbeaten 7 match run. Can't complain too much.

Cant complain? You just have? Lol.

Where are these rumours coming from? We are still operating as a CIC so the owners should be fully aware if there was any problems.

Owners are always aware of financial problems. It's the fans who are the last to know. As always.

The fans find out when there is 'cash flow' problems.

That's a lot of a wage for a part time club.

Indeed it is, but clubs are willing to pay that kind of money for players who score goals.

It may well include a scoring bonus. Win bonus. Appearance money. Who knows?

It may be what hes asking for to sign a new contract? You'll find out in January.

As mentioned heard it before the game had started I obviously have no idea of Clydes wage structure but £900 a week was mentioned. No name was mentioned for the other one just it was another high earner, wondered about Rankin presume he is still on wages although

Never thought much of it at the time , but I heard 2 Raith fans speaking about Goodwillie last week saying much the same thing.

They said it was 800 a week he was on.

I dont suppose the amount makes much difference to the story.

I spent some time reading the twitter account of the Tory candidate for my area this week and learned quite a bit about the SNP manifesto. I learned nothing about the Tory manifesto so I went to Douglas Ross' twitter, being the only other Tory I know of up here, as well to see if I could learn more than just 'Get Brexit done' instead I learned of SNP's manifesto again. The Tories up here are pedalling nothing but anti-SNP propaganda and are really wasting a lot of time and effort in doing so. SNP vote for me in order to oust the slimy self-centred Tory we currently have in place.

I, too, have a Tory MP 'representing' Banff & Buchan.  3 flyers already through the letterbox since the announcement of an election.  All Tory. All proclaiming voting for the Tories is the only way to stop Independence in my constituency.

In all fairness the last one did mention fish and farming,( but that is normal for this neck of the woods), and we know what the Tories have done for both.

    Nothing.

My MP's name is David Duguid. Part of the bakers dozen who have voted for Brexit against the wishes of their constituents.

More than enough reason to get shot of them on December 12.

Not sure what you’re slavering on about, tbh.

We are historically awful at Balmoor so it’s not completely unexpected. We’ve also lost our best player in the last week, been told we won’t see Vaughan til fucking Christmas 2020 and decided to start Steven Anderson on the bench. Couple those things with McGurn having another brain fart and it’s pretty easy to see where we went wrong. Davidson being sent off whilst 2-0 down, whilst frustrating, shouldn’t be the least bit surprising to anyone of a Rovers persuasion. A veteran centre half who routinely gets sent off for dissent is fucking embarrassing. Get sent off for 2 booking or even a bad tackle, but to be sent off for chatting shit to the ref is just brainless.

We need to get ourselves sorted out for next week. As ever, league 1 being the bat shit stupid league it is, Stranraer bodied Clyde today so they’ll have their tails up coming to Stark’s no doubt. Could do with a performance from Armstrong and Dingwall. The former hasn’t showed up since his (re)introduction v Falkirk.

I was being sarcastic with your post.

We've played as well as that in a few games this season, but havent managed to convert it into wins.....or even draws!

We should have won against Dumbarton last week but couldn't score for love nor money.

Your keeper did help us on our way with the blunder, and maybe that was the break we needed.

As for the big number 4, christ knows what he was thinking, but he made a bad situation into an impossible one, but as you point out it seems it's an habitual thing with him.

Maybe time to show him the door?

How many red cards has Davidson had for us? Must be more than 10. A straight red for dissent is actually quite impressive, must’ve said something horrendous. No wins in four, Falkirk win, we’re knocked off top, clocks go back. All sounds about right. Just as well we’re signing Ross Callachan or this week would be a write off.

Must have been questioning the parentage of the Ref, because he ( the ref) didnt hesitate with the red card.

A well deserved 3 points , at last !. Thought we more than matched Raith all over the park. The double sub at half time worked for the away team as we ended up sitting deeper and deeper.  Superb strike from smith to seal the win. Thought hooper and leitch were stand outs today.  Just need this effort every week

    Great strike from Smith?

    From the bench?

Aye the APWR has made a huge difference, without pushing it you can go from Stonehaven end to Ellon in 35 minutes. Last week roadworks north side of Dundee and also around Brechin both parts were just using one side of the carriageway but traffic seemed to move along with 50 & 30mph restrictions

Looks like being a decent day for the match.

11 degrees, but with a 20mph North/North Westerly making it feel around 4 degrees.

    Showers possible.

Anyone coming to support Raith Rovers should wrap up well because we know how all you lowlanders feel the cold.

If you're cold at 4,45, then you deserve it for not having sufficient gear on!

    Have a nice day.

Slightly tongue in cheek but  watch  the goal from yesterday & the first at Falkirk the week before & Armour is the only one covering out wide left. He has not got too much game time for us but has shown flashes of good stuff going forward which he can hopefully build on set up a great chance for Lyle early doors yesterday but everyone is suffering for us just now, we need a couple good results even if we don't play great, we need to rebuild confidence first & foremost.

A couple of 1-0 wins via a penalty or an O.G. would do.

Agree with everything above. Did we score with our only shot on target?! I can't remember the Peterhead keeper having any notable saves.

I thought Neill and McGeever were excellent as a centre half pairing. They won almost everything in the air all afternoon. Man of the match could have gone to either but McGeever probably deserved it with his goal.

Joe McKee had some nice touches and passes but ultimately ran out of steam. JP Crossan is one of those frustrating players who can produce moments of magic, but today he was greedy and should have passed in the final third instead of trying for goal himself.

We were extremely lucky to catch Rory McAllister on an off day. Peterhead were the better team and, if they continue playing like that, will get results to move them out of the relegation/playoff spots.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

You weren't that lucky to catch Rory on an off day.

He's not had an 'on' day this season, but having watched the highlights, I see what you mean!
