There's been a few folk making the argument that it's almost impossible for footballers to transmit the virus to each other through playing, training, etc. Didn't Clyde have an 'outbreak' where four players tested positive in November. Surely the assumption was there was transmission between the players in that case? Why would anyone assume that couldn't happen again?

Indeed. Presumably these guys go home to wives , kids/ girlfriends.

Some will have other jobs and contact with the outside world.

Nonsense to think the football 'bubble' is going to eradicate transmission of any virus.

Dont know what our budget is/was but given our location we probably have had to pay top dollar to attract players, we have tended to run with a smaller squad than many 18/20 players rather than some where they carry many more. We have a very small board as well who up to now have not had to hold their hands out for cash. We certainly under normal circumstances have a great facility which does very well on match days, unlike some we cant hire out our pitch. This last year cannot have help the clubs situation but would think the board will have it covered,.

Indeed.  Expenses play a big part in the budget at PFC.

IIRC we had guys travelling from the Dumfries area for a couple of seasons, and much of the reat of the squad are central belt.

It infuriates me every day that we had Scott Brown as a youngster and he went to Bradford for heehaw. All the boy does is score against us. Seems like he’s developed into a very competent midfielder for this level.

He could play at a better level. No question.

Sorry for some reason I thought you were away today, my mistake.

    I

    No problem.

It wouldn't matter if PD played on the moon right now, the result would be the same.

    Lose.

    We were away ........

Good result for you lads today, winning at Peterhead is something we rarely seem to manage. How do you fancy your chances of making the playoffs? Looks tight in the league, If you make it have you got the team to give it a good go? You’ve looked a good battling team the last few seasons but not seen much of you this season.

East Fife didn't win at Peterhead either.............

Given how long we were without football, I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think I’m ready for the season to finish. Given how little I’ve felt immersed by Pixelott from the get go, coupled by how rubbish we have been this season, I’d happily give up the football and start again in August, hopefully with fans in, and just enjoy what ever league we end up in. It has been a brutal year all round.

Agree totally.  It's been absolute crap. Non attendance being the main reason. Watching on TV makes it so bloody soulless.

Great Q. Cosgrove on off the ball recommended it earlier in season when his team playing the heed. No sure what way wind was blowing that day or if it was one below gale force

    From North, or North East.

Odd how it manages to do that on the two days a season you guys visit?

Maybe there is a God after all?

Only watched the second half but wondered about whether the weather or the fact that Balmoor is a grass pitch was a factor in so many balls going astray, particularly from Dillon but others too: so many passes and set pieces overhit.

Reasonably happy with a point though: exchange of Christmas presents and avoided the need for both teams to get up early on the 26th.

Not so good for me this morning though... take a bit of comfort that I feel less grotty than I would have done had they lost!

There was little or no wind. That may explain the overhit passes. Usually a slight breeze at Balmoor( or as the southern softies call it , a gale).

And we cant expect the average footballer to adapt too quickly...........

  9. We seem to be struggling to get players fit enough to get some sort of continuity.

As I said pre season, staying up is the prime consideration.

If we can get any points at all from the full time teams that will be a bonus, but losing ...as we did on Saturday.....to teams around us may see us back in L2.

Falkirk with a comfortable win on Saturday for me. Hope I'm wrong though.
