Watched Peterhead against Dundee and thought they were good, and by all accounts been a bit unlucky last few games. If we get our front 3 (Im certain Rennie will play them all) firing we could win but think this’ll be a tough game for us, can see a high scoring loss

Falkirk could play without a goalie. We cant score. Simples!

Think he failed to go up via play offs and then won the league the following year but may not be 100% correct with that.

Had a check after I wrote it and he did take them up as champions.

Easy to miss because they were going through managers at a great rate of knots at that time.

McInally, Irons, Grady, Moore , Shiels.......

Yeah, McInally's playoff record is a right laugh. Across one with Morton, two with East Stirling and four with Peterhead he's never successfully made it through them, and has only made it beyond the semi final three times.

Did McInally win promotion with Morton?

Aye sounds like we deserved to win but it's another two points dropped.

I just can't imagine Sheerin as manager in the championship.  Hate seeing folk lose their job but I don't see it working out in the short or medium term so what's the point in delaying the inevitable?

Dropped points next week and I imagine he'll be away.

Do the fans feel Jim has been successful, or would you have preferred a change at some point?

It depends on how success is viewed.

Considering the relative performances of past managers,  Jim has done ok.

A winning percentage of over 45% is ok. Two promotions .one relegation. Much better than Steve Paterson and Neale Cooper.

We have become the thing I hoped we wouldn't....a yo yo club.

    But we're not alone there.

I see no great bonus in trying something else with someone else at the helmTBH.

Putting aside the fact that the Peterhead commentray team said that the weather conditions had deteriorated going into the second half, the main difference for me was that the Blue Toon had players capable of carrying the ball along the ground to get upfield - Payne in particular - whereas we all too often resorted to hoofball.  In a game where we needed Duthie and Wilson to get down the wings, they were largely peripheral to the action and we can't afford that.

Secondly, the goalkeeping coach really needs to work on Ramsbottom's kicking from ground; it's bad enough normally but the second half on Saturday was an exercise in repeated madness.

I think that is it in a nutshell. The wind hadn't strengthened in the 2nd half, but it was a bit wetter and that was driving into the faces of the sons players.

The first half , Dumbarton had really no excuse. They hadn't a clue playing with the wind. How often did they try & play the ball over the Toon defence, and the ball go dead in goal.

The early goal had Dumbarton a bit flustered too.

The goalie is certainly slow on the uptake!

He's too soft. "It's a shame they won't get much game time." You're their manager, not their pal! Looking forward to only being able to name three subs by November.

    Classic case Saturday past.

4 outfield subs and a goalkeeper on the subs bench.

    Luckily it wasnt crucial.

  8. Dumbarton had 45 minutes to adapt to playing with the wind. They didn't.

They had another 45 minutes to adapt playing against the wind....which was more farcical than their attempts to play with the wind!

The goalkeeper kept lumping the thing in the air,  only for it to head back in his general direction.

One or two goes and he should've had it sussed.

The wind can be blamed for making it a poorer game than it may have otherwise been, but what next?

    Indoor football?

    What a rabble

Peterhead should be ashamed of themselves for not providing cover and seating for away support

Blatant push in the back before the 2nd Peterhead goal

We're an absolute shambles. Danny got the tactics very wrong and admitted as much by making two first half subs.

We could win this or it could finish 10-2 neither could surprise me

Congratulations to Goodie on 100 goals. Can anyone report if David W celebrated the 2nd goal or is he waiting for one more?

Clyde fan should be ashamed of himself for being unable to stand outside.

I didnt want to mention Goodwillies dive for his 99th/ 100th penalty, but you've driven me to it with your whinging.

Seating & cover ffs. What next? You'll be wanting heaters to keep you warm.

    Lol.

2-1 flatters them big time. Could of been 4 or 5, some of the football we played was a joy to watch,  noticed hetherington was skipper today aswell.

Indeed. It could have been. But it wasn't.

Performances like that will see you back where you belong in the championship.

I’ve been watching Josh career since he was 12  at the grove , he is an attacking midfielder, I watched the game today and it was a ridiculous decision to put him up against Mackey stevens , I hope he gets to play further forward soon

Means nothing. Peterheads top scorer back in the early 70's... 72 iirc was a guy who went on to win 65 caps for Scotland as a defender.

By the same Peterhead, that not that long ago were pretty vocal about having to let all their non-playing staff go, as they couldn't afford to keep them on?

True. I dont know if they did pay off anyone other than match stewards and turnstile operators.

Of course unless you know what the lad was getting paid by EF , and what hes getting paid by PFC there is little point in arguing about the why & wherefore.

Substantial could be the difference between being paid 20 quid by EF , and 30 quid by PFC?

Disgrace that Brett has gone to another team in our Division, I can get it if he had the chance of full time, or like Agnew, a move closer to home.
The new signings are hardly filling me with confidence either. Sean Crighton has been released by Airdrie, could he be the 'no nonsense' defender we crave?

Disgrace...bit harsh on the lad no? Decent service he has given to East Fife.. Fancied a change and is probably going to get more of a wage.

The word is he increasing his wage by a fair bit....but as always with these things, it's an unsubstantiated rumour only.
