  1. This is an excellent read - How the UK lost Brexit battle The course of Brexit was set in the hours and days after the 2016 referendum. https://www.politico.eu/article/how-uk-lost-brexit-eu-negotiation/
  2. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-47707116
  3. As unthinkable as it may be, it turns out they lied. Again.
  4. Solicitor General just suggested this too - These are some days for parliamentary procedure. Textbooks will be written about these few months. Fascinating.
  5. What has been said? I have not seen anything stating that so far. Genuine question.
  6. I think the Athletico Mince podcasts require a few episodes once to get into them. Most of the sketches taken on their own can seem a bit mad, but once you listen for a few weeks, they make a bit more sense. Not overly keen on Andy, but Bob's bits are superb. Gangs of the EPL, and Beardsley are top drawer.
  7. There isn't really anything that anyone can say in Parliament that will lead to a "eureka" moment, or get rapturous applause from the house and the whole nation. So why would anyone bother. As sad as that sounds, there is nothing out there to be gained at this moment in time by sticking your neck out for what you believe in, large parts of the nation want different things. It's little wonder there is inspiring leadership. There is nothing to unite the nation behind. Depressing.
  8. It would also mean Farage campaigning under his Brexit party.
  9. It's hard to disagree with this. I can't see Parliament coming up with, or even agreeing for that matter on "something"
  10. Clearly the threat of no Brexit at all is scaring the Tory members. Don’t think the MP’s have the same fear.
  11. There you go, seems to imply they will be voting against... Edit - If there was any doubt -
  12. Plus, an abstention, or voting against, would not make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things, when the DUP only has 10 members to play with.
  13. 14 switchers at the moment going by The Guardian live blog.
  14. A large number of Tory MP's wouldn't vote for the deal as it stands. A larger majority would not necessarily allow them to push the deal through. Besides, the deal as it stands, is very unpopular with the general public is the polls are to be believed. There is no way that they would campaign behind the current deal should their be a general election. What would they campaign behind then you may ask.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
