  1. We like to provide entertainment - to overseas stats collectors, if not necessarily on the pitch.
  2. 4 managers but just 1 Director of Football - who was meant to be overseeing recruitment and ensuring continuity. Did Ann Budge not say "if this doesn't work out, we could be losing a manager and a DoF" ?
  3. That's true - our midfield players would have struggled to get into ANY other team. It was agenuine question. Would hope Cochrane develops to be better than Allan and certainly McGeough though. And yes, that season was dross. It happens.
  4. Is that right ? For the sake of what they thought would be a few seasons of nose in the trough, Aberdeen gave away the chance to permanently restructure the SPFL share-out in a way that could have narrowed the historical gap between the OF and the rest ? Deary me. Talk about short-sighted.
  5. Of course. Well, Dom does. But anyway, enough of that. Football - what's your order of preference for holding on to Allan/McGeough/McGinn ?
  6. Eh ? My words ? How do you get from "solvent restructure " to "morally bankrupt" ? Any luck finding those HibernianS league placings in the early 1890s ?
  7. Ah, Dom. Good man - prepared deal with the subject, even if not very objectively. How do Hibs have an unbroken history - they went out of business for a couple of years. Tell me where they finished in the league in the early 1890s Hearts 1906 was a solvent restructure , no ? Not one league game missed.
  8. Don't need to get rid of them, just have a voting system that doesn't allow them a joint-veto. Had the chance to get that when Rangers were in the twighlight zone. I never understood why the other clubs didn't grab the opportunity
  9. Wow. This 1893 thing seems to be a touchy subject. I'm chuckling away at the barrage of loopy assertions that I'm a Kickbacker or Craigieboy in particular. I suppose, strictly speaking, Hibernian are not "first to wear the green" - they're " third to wear the green" after Hibernians and then Celtic in 1888 ?
  10. Play the ball, not the man. 1875 or 1893 ? Bye. Heading out before the rest of the Leith tag-team show log-in
  11. So you agree it's 1893. When you realise you've been deluding yourself for decades I suppose it can bring that anger out, eh
  12. Dave, Dom,Grass Yes, good GIF. But, the question was - why pretend 1875 ? It's clearly 1893 in the same way as The Rangers are 2012
  13. Dave Why does the Hibernian badge - and your name - refer to 1875 ? Tell me, was it in 1890 that the old Hibernians went out of business and was it 1892 or 1893 that Hibernian were formed ? I know you guys are sticklers for legal accuracy. As for the strip - meh. Prefer simple ones like the one you , ahem, won the cup in
  14. Oooooft. Bad day at work Tam ? Pour youself a wee drink. Sit down. Stroke the dog and take a few deep breaths. There. Now, what's really troubling you ? Still think it's not nice to use guys with issues for a cheap gag. Of course, I don't know for sure that any of the 3 do have issues - just my wild guess.
  15. That will be a "no" from you, Bohemian. I presume you find it just as funny when people have a dig at Lennon's mental health.
  16. Titter ye not. Anyone else a wee bit uncomfortable with getting a laugh out of using photos of guys who probably (in today's language) "have issues" ?
  17. Sergei ? Nah, Greenginger. As I type this, I'm off to doorstep Building Control about the approvals paperwork for the hybrid pitch
  18. Are you giving him a free pass for all the dross accumulated under Cathro and Neilson ? Can only say I am really happy with Sow and Soutar signings. McLaughlin was 1 year only. Berra, Lafferty and Naismith are good players with reasons to want to have a spell back in Scotland - but they are quality that we are paying big wages for. Nothing very clever about those signings - although somebody did well to get them to sign. I'm in the fingers-crossed, give him 3-4 months ..... but prepare for pant-wetting camp.
  19. I see that both Warren Hawke and Ann Budge are on the SPFL Board. I wonder how in-the-loop they both were ? I'm guessing Robertson of Rangers wasn't. Or wasn't on the ball ?
  20. On reflection, was the recruitment of a new Chaiman maybe that was left in the hands of a sub-group of board members - which ones ?
