Good week in terms of squad coming together with emphasis on squad. Need players good enough to start but no spitting dummies if they are squad players. Hope buccy and Barr sign and interested to see who else we get as new. Would like to see a squad that players only play in what is their no 1 position and different from last year whee players were shuffled about or Barr Fleming docherty . I know not likely to happen Hope young Donald signs soon too .

Is mccluskry not left sided winger type as is Stirling. Don't fancy similar type players

Harsh reality of football. If we are looking to sign alternative left sided defender types then no place for Doherty in starting 11 . Personally comfortable enough with him but not anywhere other than left back . I would be wanting a better cm than MD and we have Stirling for left mid

Right now . Let's get down to some squad building. Need to get some of the offers made tied up and consider any new players. Let's hope we see some movement this week.

I don't quite the understand why te pitch invasion is ok. As someone who has carried out a one man pitch invasion in front of a crowd of about 500 to shake hands at the edge of the pitch. I also don't get how the police stood and watched. Both the sets of fans to blame if they chose to go on the park.no excuses or reasons. Any fighting or contact with players should be identified and penalties in line with the law. I've seen enough footage to suggest some hibs fans have come in contact with rangers players and as such hibs should be given an appropriate penalty. If I was a hibs fan who was on the park I would be thinks no now about how they have spoiled their day in history in terms of presentation and celebration. In defence of true hibs fans approx 22000 at Hamden and that is not your regular support so some of the troublemakers may be the glory hunters. Rangers statement in terms of their own fans needs revisiting and they lose all respect if they don't amend. Over to the authorities sfa and police to sort out on an individual and team basis.

Yes wilf. Always worth bearing in mind where we came from and who our peers are/were. Worth remembering when we rant about our current performances. We will at some point return back . When I know not but we should all enjoy our current status while it lasts.

Just going by history that we pick up loans towards the end of the window . I did bring my guess forward a bit in view of the cup situation Can remember any loans coming in early and during pre season Still think it's early days I expect existing guys in about 2 weeks and then trialidts at pre season

Rest of squad will be trying to negotiate a better deal or see what's available elsewhere Very early days And any loans won't appear until late July

Ive always said no to bringing players back. I think some sons fans fall in love with favourites and push to get them back. In recent times I've seen pushes for Russell Agnew Gordon geggan lister devlin to name but a few. I say no to all. Of these . New blood

Yeah fair to assume Ayr or Stranraer will be At our level. Question will be where will Dunfermline fit in and will this years mid table gang of Morton qos and st mirren be better or worse. Yip fair comment re rankin but some good young players might come available too. I know we generally look for good young loanees from upstairs and we've also picked up Barr Wright nade and Ross who have been hits this season

Seems we are looking down all the time. Why not look up. What about John rankin . Probably he'll get better but with his spfa role part time might suit him. Let's wait and see what premier players get released that we can pick up

Interesting last night . Not much getting given away and opinions differing from lots getting offered contracts and staying to a mini clear out. Meetings start on Tuesday but probably take a while as players who are offered work out options for a couple of weeks.

Fair point moonster in that a few of out forward thinking players have suffered from us not been attack minded.

My point about Cawley earlier in season and not in every game before anyone gets excited I see him as someone even when he plays well doesn't do anything to win the game. Not a great defender and can't recall too many match winning things . To me a bit of a disapointment Having said all that and that's my view I know he has good level of assists
