  1. Sat at his table in hospitality and also met him before st mirren game in abbots ford . dont know much about his business sense etc but came accross fairly decent and approachable. good luck to him dont know much about the other guys
  2. Around about this time last season Donald McCallum scored our first away goal 2016 and our first since livi in December. our 2 today make us top away scorers and probably only st mirren can beat us if they score 3 at Easter road. ive been to 15 of said games and what a difference. our bus conveyor said today United need to score 2 to beat us as we will score such is our confidence.well they did and they didnt on behalf of my fellow travellers.thank you sons ,stevie and all at club been a pleasure to watch this season
  3. Probably still some twists amongst he bottom 4. As pointed out on Saturday ,at 5pm on Saturday we won't be in bottom 2 and have game in hand. Ultimately in our own hands is all we can ask for.. lets all get up to tannadice and give backing to the boys.
  4. I was in my usual seat close to front of bus .car tried to overtake in coned area where the lanes become 1 and clipped bus .spun car around to front where bus spin it again into ditch. car driver really lucky although he didn't seem too bothered. fortunately driver did amazing and controlled bus to a stop . Driver badly shaken and amazed he was able to continue. thinking now of what could have happen and makes you think of the bus down Ayrshire way from last year. again great credit to our driver and lucky we were all unscathed
  5. I didn't actually see the doc v case incident ,don't know why as I was in process of criticising docherty for going off in one pointing blame for the goal. He had already done it on a cople of other occasions . i accept the passion bit but really he has crossed the line and my opinion is that it's a step to far . I don't know if carswell has or hasn't crossed the line. im dispointed that aitken didn't take docherty off at half time as by then I'm sure he was aware of what had happened . His will now be a test of the character of this club
  6. Raith didn't manage it so what chance would we have
  7. OS has news Harvie and mccrorie in Scotland 19s squad so will miss the Ayr game on 25th March . after last Tuesday is there a conspiracy to save Ayr??
  8. Scoring away from home has to be more encouraging bearing in mind we only scored 1 from Dec till end of last season and that was last day. comparing points etc is largely irrelevant . Final position and position releative to this round about us all that matters.
  9. Similar to lw comment wasnt having a go just a observation. I would add 4 away games out of 5 will be a cash flow issue for fans attending also
  10. Don't know if picked up by anyone else. Season ticket offer in march when no idea of which league we will be in. Added to very few home games in March /early April is there a cash flow issue and some hard readies needed??
  11. Heard a story about today 3 adults with 3 young kids turned up at home end on spec to watch game and of course couldn't get in. crowd was 1377 although I'm certain this is not a correct figure. i would ask for an official explanation on the official site as to why our club is so intent in turning away money
  12. St Mirren fans no matter who you swapped us for Todd. We would get best deal . I say no more
  13. Add to above that when they couldn't get through on phone they thought they would come and watch him. however no tickets available or on sale !!!!!!!!!!
  14. Good luck Ryan , hope you get s decent club. I for one thought again bring stevo on was a bonus as he is able to hold up and give ball to our players i understand why he has to go but think a lot of people lack an understanding of what certain players can offer yes probably for his past record and reputation we expected a weebit more but not as bad as some make out. lets hope decent replacement for him and also young joe. Thank you joe and good luck where ever they send you now
  15. We seem to suggest we will get rid of mb and then suggest he might be willing to leave . as has happened all season the decision rest solely with one person . Cant believe we are still discussing this
  16. Let me start by saying I don't believe stevie should even have lasted as long as the Bonnyrigg fiasco. Ive also said that anyone of us should have been able to take that group of players and managed them to beat a junior side.thats where the players gave to stand up and be counted. however I don't support that the players don't care. Not good enough yes ,bad options yes but I'm sure they will be hurting and embarrassed about Tuesday. its now up to stevie and them to fight for their pride and try to win us back . will we survive relegation, probably possibly not but I hope we do. i will continue to support team and also slate players in footballing terms but here's hoping
  17. Yet another Scottish cup /league double header sorry potentially
  18. Overall last night as with a couple of weeks ago I was reasonably impressed with the stadium plans with facilities housing etc. I'm sorry but I just don't get where the funding is coming from and the sustainability of the project. i was somewhat taken a back about Ian Wilson love of the sons and that it appears our ability to stay in at least the championship is a factor to his plans. Why then are Branco not doing everything in their power to create as much a chance as possible for stevie aitken and his squad to live the dream. mr Wilton's comment about we need a striker was a cheap joke in the circumstances. im interested to see where the project goes in terms of getting off the ground when this season ends still seems like fantasy to me
  19. Now then this year is bad to watch. Is it worse than last year . In my opinion no . is it worse than season 1 in championship pre Murray , no Will we go down probably possibly maybe. We all just wish we would give it more of a go, especially when other teams are not that great .
  20. Everything about us at moment is a concern reading into last few days of posts. crowds poor away from home and generally down at home with around 500 inc season tickets being about the norm. performances have been generally poor since the start of the season in the cups and no encouragement. Squad is thin on ground numbers wise and even more so in eras of quality. stevie as others have said seems to struggle with decision making mainly to do with changes. ive always supported that we should strive to play at highest level possible but I wonder just where this wil be come May. one can only assume st mirren will splash out come January and we will still have same squad with perhaps the odd loaned change. all a bit doom and gloom so will need a win on Saturday to boost spirits. I'll trudge along hoping for the best.
  21. Missed today due to holiday . Lucky escape question is can we afford to sack stevie as that would mean funding 2 managers.
  22. I thought even in first half yesterday there wasn't much in it but goals we lost were slack .all game we allowed raith time to do what they want. two wingers who don't cover back is too much of a luxury. to neatly rescue it back was a bit of credit to the players. i think Buccy would have escaped first booking if he hadn't moaned about throw minutes before when he could have been booked so no real complaints. sons fans accross threads been a bit harsh overall solely on yesterday but I accept we need to pick up some points soon.
  23. Agree with squeezbox above. Players agreed their contract so don't get the unrest caused by any differences. where has this rumour actually came from.
  24. Even by our levels we are seeking a new level of negativity this easy in season. All the stuff about training ,unhappy played, losing the dressing room. think we need to settle down a bit. in terms of football I didn't think we were too bad yesterday considering the goals we lost.. you have to say they certainly kept going to the end. an issue would be that we rushed the 2 new signings in and probably played joe Thomson a bit out of position to begin with. we created more chances yesterday than we did in second half of last season away from home. again we missed a proper central defensive midfielder who could scrap for the ball a couple of our players seem short at this level in pettigrew and smith. I thought Todd showed as much as u have seen from him. 2 goals in injury time maybe papered cracks on what would have looked a whipping but I believe game wasn't 4.1 in terms of play. interesting to see how we build once squad full and players settle in . regarding all the other stuff going on .dont know anything about it and will leave it till facts come out rather than speculate
  25. Interesting to see where we look to build with the 5 signings. Today was a mixed bag of promise and despair. We should have been 4 up at half time and created lots of chances but our defending was poor in second half. im siding with those who view that Fraz is just about done and to be honest he gets no defensive support from Doc and they wer at fault for 2 of the goals. Again without saying he is the answer Donald showed enough to merit more game time than he gets and his support made Thomson more of a threat.I just hope that our pending signings don't send Donald off to the bench wilderness persoanlly thought Stirling was mom .he was great today.Need a lot lot more from smith and Todd. agree with others views that Stevenson is excellent on ball and good delivery. Get what was expected in terms of overall wrokrate busy week ahead for stevie
