Fair point wilf. We now have a run of home games and a squad almost free of injury so Let’s see where we are in a month or so.

I didn’t watch today’s game as against one of the so called bigger teams I thought it would be backs to wall. it appears that was the case and in other games we certainly lack creativity. with the finance issues I can see where we can bring anyone in come January so I do t get involved in suggesting what we need. We all know but we won’t get . I wonder fitness prevailing if crossan frizzell and Wilson is a better option provided we can get ball to them ?? I’ll probably watch next week as I’ve never seen cove but not expecting much better. Let’s also see where we are at year end after a run of home games

I see on game thread comments about needing money to boost squad. clearly an issue is our inability to score even in defeat. based on this thread my view is unless we get a Colin weir type lottery winner , it’s gonna be a long road current investment from fund raising only keeps the bills just about ticking coukd be we are lucky Forfar are poor too. Don’t see much change in squad cone january. Agree completely with bbpf views on squad building

Interesting story on club site about young goalie. never one to dismiss development of youth but can’t help but wonder where this is going with no sub goalie yesterday. will he make the bench Tuesday best wishes to the lad.

My issue wilf goes back to earlier in year and is continuing. We are no threat and rarely look like scoring. Defensively we are sound enough but 4 goals in 5 games is poor and even looking at chances created -also lacking.

Watching Scotland and Dumbarton in last week. Even when playing ok and arguably the better team both are toothless and lack creativity.

I’ve never been a fan of format but that’s cause Dumbarton struggle in it. I can’t recall any league cup game we haven’t struggled in . Other teams seem to make a fist of it against higher level we don’t

Thought frizzell good in first half but punted out of play after. TBH disappointed with Hamilton although in his defence he was out of his natural position . Wilson did ok and thought Forbes got better when playing central . I expect more from Johnstone -hopefully a fitness thing

Neither side really shone in this one. Thought we could have chased game a bit more late on?? Changes kind of put frizzell out of game which was a pity

Most encouraging. Thought smith did very well today.2 centre backs and of course Wilson. Didn’t really expect much so that’s a bonus.

Lorenzo on other thread suggested we are short of a couple of decent midfielders. Whilst not disagreeing would have thought with 18 we might be just about at the max we can budget. add to that level we are getting is probably short of what we would like but we just hope we get lucky with one or two of them.

I only saw second half and thought we were the better team but I don’t remember a decent attempt at goal. agree could be team 9/10 in the league

Question would we have been happy if sons went for Lang, mcniff, Johnston, shields all ex players who played better today than any sons players save Hamilton. Quito go was better after Johnston went off
