  1. Didnt know that but he wouldnt be the first to get out of there in a hurry given the current tensions geo-politically.
Im stopping short of mentioning the strait of hormuz on a scot football website...

Lets not discuss geo political issues regarding player transfers.

Lets discuss something more pressing like ??

Oh i know kids with a drum, we managed to make that last a good few days
  2. I hate to say i told you so.

A good few weeks ago i made the point that we would end up with a load of dud players and emergency loans. I also made the point that the club/board/trust (whoever) have been very secretive about whats going on, and i was berated by the social media mouth piece from the trust....[emoji848][emoji848]

Seems to be panning out just as i said it would.

The fact we haven’t even made an attempt at getting Martin in is stupid IMO. But we’ll never know if we have cos the club wont tell us anyway, unless your in the wee clique surrounding the club. Its a joke. No wonder we cant get people to come down and support the club.

I still have the feeling of being looked at as an outsider and I’ve followed the sons for years. Its a vile atmosphere and i don’t see it changing anytime soon..

  3. Wow...

This is a football forum isn’t it ??

Bickering like old spinsters about a drum. The guy doesn’t want to go because of the drum. Fine.
Others don’t want to attend because of the drum. Fine.

    Its their loss.

This has been going on for almost two days now. For god sake!!

The boys weren’t at the last few home games so do we actually know if they are going to a constant at the games ??...

The whole thing is a f**cking joke, just like our club. We are becoming a laughing stock.

  4. The old guard gatekeeping as per usual.  Yes, these kids could disappear within a season or two, but they also could end up supporting the club for life.   (Something Wilf isn't even willing to do, clearly).
There are a number of reasons why the club isn't as hospitable as it should be and high up the list is this mentality that some fans are better than others.  New people instantly get interrogated on the supporters bus.  People moan when big crowds turn up (e.g 1000-odd we took to the cup final) because they weren't at smaller games.  Fans of old firm clubs get snarked at when they're actually bothering to support their local team - even if it's only a few games a season it still helps the club.

    Couldn’t agree more !!! 100 %
  5. This is absolutely pathetic.

Young guys trying to get a bit of atmosphere around out the place instead in true Dumbarton style people just need to moan about it..

The negative atmosphere around the club is absolutely draining.

If people don’t want to go then don’t go, don’t come on here and make a big f**king song and dance about it..

  6. Best news of the summer so far.  It says a lot about him given the interest he'll have had from elsewhere, he 100% has to be our new captain imo.
Just a shame I'm so deflated about the season in general that I can't get properly positive about it...But it's a start, now if we'd like to announce a few exciting lower league superstars then I could start to feel far better about everything.

This signing should be greeted with great fanfare and enthusiasm but its over shadowed by the negative aura thats descending through even the most loyal of supporters.

Like the majority of us on here i am really worried about where we will be come the end of April.

Bracing myself for a relegation battle from day one.
