  1. If you move to Spain before independence the UK pays. If you move after independence the SG pays.
  2. You will get your pension. All we’re saying is that the SG pays for it. Please read what is written.
  3. At long last, someone who gets it. Thank you.
  4. I don’t disagree with that. Okay, I’m done as well.
  5. I’m sorry. Don’t quite understand your point?
  6. In my opinion, if Bradford man moves to Brechin on retiral after Independence Day his pension will be due by RUK Government. If he moves to Brechin before Independence Day it will be due by SG as he will be a Scottish resident at that time. All just my opinion, of course. Regarding your partner’s aunt her teachers pension is funded whereas her state pension is not and is paid out of current taxation.
  7. Best point you’ve ever made on here. Spot on.
  8. Of course your aunt receives a UK pension. In addition she probably gets a pension from the teachers Superannuation scheme. I never disputed the point.
  9. Against my better judgement I’ll put my tuppence worth. You have built up a pension entitlement under UK rules. Fair enough. Lets say another person from Bradford has followed exactly the same path as you. You will receive your pension from SG. Bradford man will receive his from RUK government. Remember- No fund in existence. Your pension will be funded by SG taxpayers after your retirement. Bradford man pension will be funded by RUK taxpayers after his retirement. That is my understanding, right, wrong or in the middle.
  10. Can’t follow your logic. It takes money to pay for public services. Highly paid people pay lots of tax and contribute greatly to the benefit of the less highly paid. Its not hard to follow.
  11. Just means more tax to be taken from the lower paid. Great thinking. We need lots more highly paid people.
  12. Straight question. Do you ever have any opinions or views of your own? You seem to spend your time putting out clips from other people.
  13. I think we have a great future. Obviously, it won’t happen overnight but come back in a years time and let’s review things. Quietly optimistic.
  14. Pleased to hear that it’s good. If they want to give their own views, that’s great but NOT on the BBC. The fact you’re enjoying it shows it must be left of centre oriented. Just like GB news is right of centre. We need more programmes of a varied nature.
  15. But what currency will you use? Answer please.
  16. Well, in her case the 2nd booster. I presume they’re the same. Just that she didn’t take up the offer for the 2nd one. There’s a lot of controversy over these boosters and everyone needs to make up their own mind. You need one booster to enter Spain and possibly other countries? Doesn’t seem to matter how long ago it was.
  17. Just been sent by a friend an article by NeilMackay (Scotsman or Herald) where he interviews a top doctor from England and the equivalent from Scotland about the state of the NHS. The findings are shocking and it would appear that things are more or less equally bad in both countries. The one interesting thing the Scottish rep, said (she’s actually Spanish) is that the SG get away with it to a greater extent than down South due to young left wing SNP supporters reluctant to rock the boat due to their desperation for independence. Whether that’s a factor or not, urgent action is needed and the thing I took from it is how poor politicians are at making the right decisions. Maybe we should put doctors in charge? Is the doctors view about young left wing SNP supporters correct? Id imagine there are lots on here.
  18. She has her own views and refused the second booster unlike myself as she was poorly after the first booster. She is for the flu jab but not sure what she’ll do tomorrow about the 3rd booster. Who knows, I might follow her line.
  19. You’re missing the point. The changes to the top rate of tax(just back to New Labour levels) will not affect her in the slightest but it will help to encourage others to expand and, maybe in time our young friend will reach that level. Who know? Anyway, we’ll only know if this move works after some time and certainly by the time of the next GE. Then voters will decide.
  20. Wife and I are going to our local hospital for jabs tomorrow. We’ll not be wearing masks. If we get banned I’ll report accordingly.
