  1. Ignore the trolls ( literally ) we're better than that.
  2. Hmmm - I've definitely wanted to win both of the finals we played in.
  3. He's just a troll though. I'd not bother with him - the post about Thatcher summed him up - probably doesn't fairly represent the views of all Darvel fans
  4. Paul McDougall - Beith coach - off to Johnstone Burgh
  5. Sounds like there's no-one commenting that knows the full story re the new park at Kirky. I agree that it'd almost be beyond belief if KRR pumped the Adamslie money into the project without formal reassurance re the lease and 1st call usage. What's surely without doubt is that Rabs have lost many regulars since their move to Cumbernauld - so not to get resolution - after almost a decade away - is ɓecoming a real threat to their existence I'd suggest. Get them back home EDC
  6. That's the problem isn't it - the cost unless there's sponsorship to cover. Oh and trying to fit it in around people's Junior Cup ties.
  7. Just worked out how to put users on ignore. This should improve my forum experience no end
  8. Are we likely to be without a game for a month ?
  9. It's ridiculous unless there's a wee glitch. We have no game at all for almost a month ( 3/2 to 2/3 )
  10. I can get why you think that ... I was maybe expecting too much
  11. I was there for Scotland game in 2005. The upper tier was almost in the clouds, ridiculous climb with a mate who has MS. Was crumbling even though it had been refurbished a mere 15 years earlier for Italia 90. Home fans were attacking each other in the tier below. Been in much better big stadia ( Millenium, Wembley, Dortmund, Amsterdam ) ...
  12. The playing in Clydebank thing is hugely important. If we had been in situation where saying we only had to play elsewhere for a cpl of seasons until a facility was readied that's one thing ( we were at Maryhill for a season while Holm Park was done up ) but that just wasn't on the cards until ... it was on the cards. Its not the temporary move that was issue it was potentially not being able to come back. Not all will agree but that was decision and its worked out
  13. As a member you'll receive regular updates. Reply to one of these and someone will come back to you.
  14. Grass isn't possible with so many teams using the place. I'd suggest that Holm Park feels very much like a football stadium.
  15. That's not true. Our aim has always been to play senior football within the confines of the "Burgh" of Clydebank or well you know - what's the point. 10 years ago there wasn't a compliant stadium and didn't look like it was happening any time soon. Due to very hard work and assiduous lobbying, the current solution was arrived at. I don't need to go into details as to why it was not possible 10 years ago but believe me ... I know. Circumstances and attitudes change and we're grateful to have access to Holm Park - which we've sunk many thousands of pounds into. You're obviously alluding to something but as a club - returning senior football to the town has always been the goal. One I articulated to Tom Johnson at a very early meeting.
