  1. Yes indeed. My intent was to imply that the loss of a very good player and the speculated transfer of another would be a blow to Beith's title chances. All of that on a discussion forum on a thread of the league that said team are in. Yer mate's taken umbrage at McGlinchey rumour - fair enough - he's a good player and would indeed be a loss id suggest. I'm not sure what YOU think my intent was but my thoughts are that Beith are still favourites to retain their title esp if any monies received for Rossiter are pumped into strengthening the team.
  2. As I say I think it unlikely we'd want to change for avoidance of an Old Firm game and the vast majority of our support would probably be annoyed if we did. Friday game isn't a small change of course and there may be very good reasons for not complying
  3. I don't think the Old Firm will be bothered one way or the other tbh ... but if it doesn't suit one party then it shouldn't change. We've requested small changes this season that have been knocked back by other side and it can also happen vice versa. We do try to help out where we can though.
  4. Tbf if its a change of ko time to ensure your gate is not impacted by another game then as long as both clubs are OK with it then I dont see the harm. I can't see us requesting for a domestic game- but we've requested early kos up against a Scotland game for example. It just stands to reason
  5. Just for clarification - I meant that there are lots of teams behind us this season who are starting to have backlogs.
  6. Last season after game 15 ( on 11th Feb no less ) our record was 9 0 6 ... we were 5th. Beith had played 18 - 13 2 3 ... so in a pretty decent position with lots of teams falling behind in games.
  7. Beith sell Rossiter to Johnstone Burgh and seemingly looking to offload McGlinchey. Thats not going to do a title challenge any good you'dve thought. Decent players.
  8. Fair enough. I missed the game at Beechwood so not seen you this season.
  9. That would be a body blow but we just need to keep ekeing out results. I agree that Talbot are not out of any mix despite the start but any of top 8 or 9 will have a say in the league
  10. You've got to think so. Won't help some teams with their backlogs
  11. Reckon the winning total will be fewer than the 66 points Beith got last season. Fantastically competitive league
  12. Problem with getting a run at it in West Premier is that there are a glut of teams that can cause each other real problems. Top 8 or 9 are well capable of taking points from each other.
  13. Wankies ... that's very good. Nice to see Glenafton are encouraging primary school weans in through the door.
  14. Look I hope not. I'm flagging up that currently we are scheduled to finish 8 or 9 weeks before play offs. If we don't have any o/s scheduled before 16th March and have a run in League Cup ( v difficult draw ) then plenty time to fit after 16th March. Benburb game points to wanting to get games played though even if you're ahead of most others. I don't think I'm being unreasonable.
  15. I'd not hold you to that pal. My expectation is not 10 weeks - but 6 weeks would be a long wait.
  16. Yeah I also have a concern over that. I'm not wanting to do a pile on here. It's obviously a difficult job - I don't subscribe to the anyone can do in 20 minutes theory - it's just that we do seem to be aiming for a very ( too ) early end. We shouldn't be getting midweek games at moment to allow some teams to catch up ( and that is happening to an extent ). Really pleased not to have been in Junior Cup as that does skew things for a while. Anyway - I'm not expecting to be in a play off but hoping we are. I think it's a reasonable concern
