You'd still prefer grass though wouldn't you and a facility that feels less of a community sports hub and more of a stadium.
Grass isn't possible with so many teams using the place. I'd suggest that Holm Park feels very much like a football stadium.

They could have done something on being a senior club again as far back as a decade ago by joining the Lowland League by application. They were more tied into the SJFA than some people on here appear to realise.
That's not true. Our aim has always been to play senior football within the confines of the "Burgh" of Clydebank or well you know - what's the point. 10 years ago there wasn't a compliant stadium and didn't look like it was happening any time soon. Due to very hard work and assiduous lobbying, the current solution was arrived at. I don't need to go into details as to why it was not possible 10 years ago but believe me ... I know. Circumstances and attitudes change and we're grateful to have access to Holm Park - which we've sunk many thousands of pounds into.
You're obviously alluding to something but as a club - returning senior football to the town has always been the goal. One I articulated to Tom Johnson at a very early meeting.

Don’t agree you should only have the chance to go up in the current format if you win your league. I don’t recall one person suggesting this when Talbot were the highest placed club finishing second to Beith last season.
I'dve been v happy if this had happened - however its not the current rules so it can't happen.

They are not all “must win” we have 4 games in hand and only 6 points behind. The pressure is on the bankies more as they can’t afford to drop anymore points. Nobody expects us to win the league again so there is no pressure.
Beith are favourites for the league. We need to keep pressure on then beat you to have any chance at all.

Points on board maybe but still feel it’s Beith’s to lose. We won’t be counting our rhubarb anytime soon.
Definitely Beith's to lose. Another very good result today. Thats 2 away wins in a week at places we only managed to draw. Those are key points.

Perhaps you should take the phrase from your big ex beith chum that's JB on board that is,
'Sometimes you're best keeping your mouth closed and being thought a fool rather than opening one's mouth and removing all doubt '...
You should always treat advice from an expert seriously

Committee sounds so quaint in 2023. Perhaps not for an era where football is very much a business.
Nothing to do with quaint or other. Clubs are constituted in different ways. Just depends on what suits. It's in no way some kind of one-upmanship. We're answerable to members ( who are all shareholders ) in same way as Talbots committee or Pollok's committee are.

Motion to change it to the club senate and have the board addressed as ‘Mr Senator’?
Think we're fine but happy for Rhubarb to refer to us whatever way he likes as long as he's nice about it.

How can it be a resurrection? Airdrie Utd bought Clydebank FC and took over the club.
their name sake in the west of scotland premier league, Clydebank, have no connection to the previous Clydebank that were in the leagues. The former Clydebank became airdrie which people conveniently forget about.
the so called “board of directors” would do well to remember that if it wasn’t for the junior set up they would have been without a league to play in.
OK doke.

Board of directors I think they call themselves. Every other team has a committee. That really sums up the ones running Clydebank
That's because of the way the club is constituted. If it makes you feel better then you call it a committee petal.

Bankies throwing everything at promotion this season.
One of the few clubs in the WOSFL that actually believe that the Lowland League is worth going to with all the additional travel costs and poorly supported teams that come with it.Hope it works out well for them as they will not be missed with their vastly inflated egos and arrogant fan base.God forbid what they would be like if they had actually been successful in their resurrection.
Given their level of spending on players in recent times they should really be getting up but we all have seen that doesnt guarantee anything given what happened tp Darvel.
I've no idea of what you're havering about - obviously Beith players play for nothing and for the gaffer ( who's done very well) and the fans. You have a lovely weekend now
