  1. I think Darren Young would be my first choice. No because he's an ex player but he did well getting a very small club like Albion Rovers up to league one and kept them there. He has now taken East Fife to the top end of league one and keeping pace with Rovers. He has a few years experience behind him now too. Petrie has done well but not quite proved it for long enough for me.

Goodwin interests me too and wouldn't be unhappy with that.

Maybe even Lee Bullen who was caretaker at Sheffield Wednesday and been in around the management scene at a good level for a while now. Maybe a good chance to be his own man now.. Knows the club, intelligent guy too.

Billy Davies? Where's he been? Not sure if we would interest him though. He would've had some high paid jobs over the years.

  2. Just listening to Joe Thomson's interview after the game. He's very honest.

Don't know what happened second half, they might of made a wee change but we've not picked up on it''

''We didn't make ourselves tight and see out the game or push for another goal.'' That's exactly how it looked to me. It looked to me that there was no real plan second half and no response when things went pear shaped. I mean not even bringing on Durnan last 5 minutes to add to defence and defend set pieces. That would be standard for a manager at professional level. It's amateurish.

It just sounds we're lacking direction. Like was said above, we start of with a plan and it's just a case of hoping all goes well, because AJ and Clark seem incapable of out smarting the opposing management in game.

First half showed how well these players can play. Let down time and time again by Johnston's inability to manage the team during 90 minutes.

It's 11:05, why have the club not made a statement yet?

They will simply view  it that AJ is four games unbeaten. There's a question mark if we could afford to get rid and if we could, it will take much worse before they act. It will take losing the next 3-4 games and taking a gubbing in one of them I think.

The way I view it is that we sometimes have flashes of the ability we have in the squad but are being kept behind by poor management. Saturday was fine example of how much AJ and co are holding us back. Goodwin roasted him tactically, just like various managers have done this season. Hitting us on the counter has work time and time again for visitors to EEP. Just like the QOS home game he messed up in October with his tactical nous. Oh and add the Ross County and ICT home games where he persisted with 3 at the back but it was clear as day it wasn't working.  He basically saves his skin with the odd win against Falkirk. Don't think that get out clause exists anymore so he better get his act together fast. The guy is a hindrance.

What’s your thoughts on this and on him? He’s always been a player I’ve known to be decent without actually remembering him any time he’s played against us (I think I’ve blocked out the time he scored a hat trick).

He's a goal threat coming off the left. Pretty much every man and his dug know he's going to cut in from the left but he's made a decent career out of it.

Great on his day but as is typical of this type of player, he disappears for large chunks of the season.

That’s Callum Smith away back to Dunfermline. Don’t think he had the chance to properly prove himself but when he did he was poor

Shame to hear this. He made a huge impact at 16/17 year old for us at the start of last season. Sounds like he going backwards in his development since he's been given a couple loan moves.

  6. New striker is about the only business I can see coming in. Smithy has apparently returned but we will need somebody else.

I think Muirhead might go as that simply has not worked for either party. Maybe even El Bak going back to Dundee and  Malurey back to Hearts.

It will be quiet for us. Louis and Connolly still to come back. Hopefully Beadling back for the long run now and keep Keena til end of season.

  7. Sizeable minority?   No chance. Vast majority.

As folk have said. Nobody disagrees with the abuse needing cut out but the statement throws accusations out there and then says they can comment due to ongoing investigations. I mean, why say anything when the matters have not been fully investigated. It goes on about fair weather fans wanting instant success, big deal. Nothing to do with the club what personal expectations are. You could rip  75% of the wording out and you would have a clearer, more concise message of what the real issues are.

  8. I regularly see taps left on and paper towels dumped next to the sink and not in the dispenser. May have been an accident. Nobody knows.

That's why I hope they have caught a Pars fan red headed before accusing Pars fans on deliberately doing it.  Not saying it's not a Pars fan but there was no indication of catching the culprits of this or the smashed window, so how can you say it's 100% a Pars fan?

The story about Williamson's girlfriend has two sides too, but it appears only one side has been listened to.

Ross has dropped the baw here.

  9. I agree with the sentiment of the statement. There has clearly been stuff going on that crosses the line and that is unacceptable. Some of the stuff can be debated though as Grant has stated. I mean that window getting smashed could've been anybody.  The sink issue is very strange, why did nobody see it over flowing if there were still Pars fans in the pub. And if it was the last person, then don't the staff check the toilets before locking up?

Anyway, the good intentions of the statement gets a bit lost when he starts going off on a tangent about other things. It feels like it's be written in anger.  I hope it's not a sign that this is getting too much for him. He's done a lot of good for the club and I hope he stays. Just hope he puts AJ soon.

Vital run of fixtures coming up a point of Tuesday would be excellent but 6 points is almost a must after than. AJ has his work cut out although I thought the first half an hour was better however we still didn't work their keeper enough. El Bak needs dropped for Ryan and hopefully we can get Higgy back in the team because Craigen isn't a winger

Ken, work really cut oot eh. Think he's defo getting there. We're no far aff eh.

  11. Not sure why you find it odd.

Dundee Utd a co have greater resources.  Livi and Hamilton  have gained promotion with a lot less than us.  Teams are spending much less than us and getting far greater success, whereby it's more understandable if a team like Dundee Utd are in the Premiership ahead of us.

Of course money doesn't guarantee success, but I can see what Cyrill means.

  12. Like the boy Cyrill was saying. It's a bit frustrating watch St Mirren win the league after nearly being relegated the season before. Livi with back to back promotions, It doesn't have to take an age. On the other hand there's Utd and Falkirk who are struggling too and they've not come from as dark a place as us in recent years.

I was mildly please with what AJ was doing up until this season.Nothing spectacular, but find this season to be a good step backwards so far. Really need to start seeing a more coherent looking team by Christmas. The strikers are not working and the wide players are not hitting the bye line. The centre mid is too deep also. Just seems that a lot needs to be sorted still.

  13. Ye, don't think there will be change, but there should be.

Dobbie having a shite game is nothing to do with AJ or his team. He was gifted  a chance with a defensive blooper and sliced his shot. Nothing to do with our team

AJ's  in game management on the other hand. We were on the verge of winning a shitfest just like the Partick game until he created that tactical shambles.  I thought his M'Voto up front at Tannadice was bad, but yesterday took the biscuit.
