Think they got Monday & Tuesday off this week - extended break after Saturday, since we don’t have a game this week. Those coming back from injury were in yesterday though.
If Wotherspoon is indeed training with us this week, that’s a good sign. I believe he was told he had until today to make a decision, as we aren’t going to give him free facilities for a month, just for him to wait for a better offer. Of course, he could be negotiating terms, but I think we’ll know one way or the other by the end of the week.
Aye, we need to get an answer. It's dragged on way too long. I think he will be a Pars player by the weekend.

2 goals and 3 assists over 20 games in League 1 was it?
Don't say you weren't warned.

The NW looked a bit sparse for the Airdrie game - have folk bought season tickets but didn't go for whatever reason? (The Norrie looked awfy bare too FWIW, but that wasn't being advertised as being sold out).
Aye, though that was a bit strange. Was still peak holiday season, so thought maybe folk on holiday.

I was thinking of the more of the financial side Wotherspoon looking for a Premiership team and I assumed Premiership wages.
McPake said that we have made him a fair offer. I would imagine that fair offer is something our club can afford.
If Wotherspoon wants a top tier side with top tier wages then clearly nothing has been forthcoming. If we are the best offer going, it doesn't matter what he wants. It's the best he will get and that is a championship side probably offering decent championship wages.

Truly, a momentous evening.
Clever name. No being a smart arse but I sussed it out around 2004

Family of the player following a team on Twitter out of nowhere is a good indicator tbf. Ben Summers’ mum followed us the day he signed.
It's a stick on every time.

Called it last week that Airdrie would win a good few games in this league.
Best two sides came up last season and causing problems already.

You won't find a better organised team in this division than the Pars. McPake and MacKay are the best young management team in Scotland.
Don't give a fuk what Dundee fans say about McPake, these guys are the real deal.
We just need injured players back and another 3-4 signings. We will be right up the top end when that happens.

Was speaking to somebody who coaches at youth level during the week and he was well aware of Ben Summers. Says he's class. One of the top talents around at that age.

I've zero expectation of signing anyone today. 2 week gap after tomorrow before our next game so you'd hope a player or 2 would arrive in that time though.
Shows how massive that 3 points against Airdrie was. It's bought us time to find new signings whilst not missing out on games where we could pick up points. Dundee United away was always going to be tough to get anything from and what we do get will be a bit of a bonus.
I would hope by the Rovers game on the 26th our squad will be looking a bit more plumped up and we will have a squad ready to take on the teams we would expect to pick up wins against.

Reading several Dundee fans post they were sad to see him go so he must have done something right up there.
Several Dundee fans saying they don't know why they're sad.

Quite a change in things with us beating St Johnstone to Murray and Dunfermline to Byrne this season. I’m all for it.
It doesn't add up that our best covered area of the park is what we were targeting. Not saying we weren't in for him but it all has a bit made up twitter feel to it that we were.
He did nothing at Dundee and got released by us. This mystical good spell he had at Livi was a while back. Not sure why you lot are getting a hard on about this. Would take him as an option if we had cash to throw around but this really isn't a big deal.

Agree with above.
We have four players that can play Byrne's position but one centre forward, and no attacking midfielders whilst Todd is out. Would've taken him as an option but hoping we spend our remaining budget further up the pitch where it's needed.

Always a sure fire sign a player is about to sign.

I'm still not entirely sure I'd have Byrne over Chalmers. He would've been nice depth thought.
I can't believe I'm agreeing with you but Chalmers is like a different player to the one we signed a couple season back. I thought Saturday was his best performance in a Pars shirt to date.

Somebody on .net saying Ben Summers on loan from Celtic an attacking midfielder.

Yeah that's true! A player I'd very much like to see at East End.
What's everyone's feelings over Wotherspoon now as the saga goes on? Bin the idea completely or still want to see him sign if he wants to. I'd rather he p*sses off to Canada than goes to Airdrie.
If he wants to come and all the stuff in on social media has been nonsense then happy to have him. However, if he really wanted to sign he'd have signed.
I'd still take him and leave the offer open (only if it doesn't disrupt other moves we're made for other players).
I really wanted to sign him previously but the whole thing has dragged on that much that I couldn't care one way or the other now.

A guy from Consillium Andy Young has just Tweeted ''Talking absolute nonsense'' and his tweet about him going to Airdrie has been deleted.

Thinking we should make a move for Connor Smith and bump Wotherspoon but maybe the manager feels we need the experience. Our team is very young. A bit too young.
We have given Wotherspoon some amount of time to make his mind up. Apparently still training with us too? There must be more to this if we have allowed this to drag on so long.
