Think Paul Allan is in last chance saloon this season. Keeping things ticking over is not enough for me personally. He doesn't like tackling and he doesn't go forward. I would rather fill a shirt with a player that offers more than passing the ball 5 yards once they receive it. He's not even that young anymore.

Sure I read that he was sitting next to a St Johnstone employee.

Wasn't really for it but he's done enough to show that he could be a useful player. No doubting his talent. If he is back up for Matty Todd or covering the deeper midfielders then he can be a good squad signing.

Thought some players showed up pretty well and others looked nowhere near it. Big Deniz is so much better than the rubbish we've had since Murdoch. Thought both our full backs were poor. No composure. The CBs were all good. Bene, Fisher(Why do Dundee fans say he's wee?) He was as big as the Germans. Probably used to oversized big lumps like Sweeney and Ashcroft. Thought he stood up physically and good on the ball. Great signing. Otoo had a few defensive moments early on but was good as the game went on. Think he and Fisher are really good signings for the next 3 years. Hamilton was the best out the lot. Great tackles as per and wins the ball so cleanly. Chalmers has nice touches but painfully immobile. Think we need compitiion for him this season. Got away with it last season when playing in a dominant team. Not sure what Paul Allan is? Nearly 24 and still seen as a youngster. Doesn't tackle, don't go forward. Looked like he was blowing out his arse after 15 mins on the pitch. KRH started well but struggled as the game went on. Still a superb signing for next season. Wighton was looking way off it. McCann was a much better option with his pace and strength. Absolutely love young Toddy. Full of running and effort but a good talent too. Great when he skinned that left back.

Quite a gap between the sides. They were very comfortable on the ball. Probably say the would get closer to the OF than any other team in Scotland.

Wighton is being played as an out and out goalscorer for us now and did very well at it last year. A link up striker to hold the ball up and bring other into the game would be ideal.

Alex Jakubiak not been picked up yet? Think he would be a great signing for our front line.

You've signed a good lad in Toddy. Great attitiude, not the best in terms of link up play as his touch is poor but has a knack of being in the right place in the box and provides height from corners and free kicks. Can see him getting double figures for you next year if he plays in the middle with good service.

Never heard of that. So 5% of the transfer fee is shared between Partick, Raith and Pars as he was trained by those clubs before he turned 23.

Danny Mullen looks a busy player but one of the worst finishers I ever seen.

McPake has signed up the exisiting players he wanted to keep and will be quite happy to wait for as long as it takes for the right players now. I think we all know by now that he doesn't rush into signings. Clearly we need to add to the squad numbers and quality wise, but we are in a decent position right now. We would be able to name a competitve first 11 for the championship with what we have at the moment.

When is GTF day? Pretty dull lording it over this lot now.

Yep, got a feeling we might see a signing today. Number of contracts have run out and most clubs have now publicly announced their released list.
