  1. They can only play U-21 if they are de-registered and then registered on SYFA forms. Once released from SFA form, the players can sign anywhere else, should they wish. If Pollok are seeking transfer fees, it appears that all these U-20 are registered on non-Amateur forms? Not sure teams can demand a fee for Amateur players....
  2. According to what I was told last week, East Kilbride were strongly against it, and wanted the Tay boundary to remain No idea who voted in favour, but pretty conclusive against, if what is quoted above is accurate.
  3. That should be the decision of the clubs, if they have capable 2002 and 2003 players who are ready and show real potential, the clubs can use their own discretion as to how best and quickly to develop them. The weakest of weak arguments from a completely out of touch SFA. I also notice Benburb are seeking answers to why players born in 2000 can still play in SYFA U-21’s when they are in fact U-22. Seems a real anomaly and a question they deserve a proper answer to.
  4. I think that many of the teams affected already have by the look of it, but there is also a feeling that the SFA won't give two shits, as they usually just ride roughshod over everything anyway
  5. Kind of makes me laugh a bit too, an extremely noisy Twitter account and social media presence, generally with plenty to say on anything, can't even provide the briefest of information on what appears to be a civil war that has left BSC Glasgow (Lowland League) as a standalone team with no home.
  6. That's actually a terrific graphic, and I suppose does show that here was some proper thought put into reducing travel in the West, almost three distinct colour groups? My opinion for what it's worth, and after reading all the comments is: 1. It would be impossible to please all 38 teams, most of them new to the set-up, and always bound to be a few upset about something. 2. With a shorter, compressed 1st season looming, reducing the travel and trying to split Geographically appears prudent and is one less barrier to sustainability 3. Season 1 should allow clubs to demonstrate their competence in every way and "earn their stripes" for Season 2, which I assume would be all in? 4. There is one dissenter arguing that there is too much travel, and another arguing there is no enough travel, which kind of vindicates point 1 :-) 5. Other than those 13 teams having to get to Mid Annandale, the maximum travel time for any team is unlikely to exceed 1-hour, based on the above graph, even with a delay factored in. 6. Splitting the Ayrshire sides into 3 x different Conferences would have meant 3 or 4 x Ayrshire based teams going to places like Mid Annandale, Vale of Leven, KIrkintilloch etc. 7. Perhaps the existing West based teams have been grouped together as they same to be mostly in same Geography, and all of these teams have probably faced much worse travel over the years on a regular basis than anything in the proposed new set up? My nephew would appear to be playing in Conf B, and I hope all Conferences work our well and enhance a very good set-up,. Good luck to all, and hopefully see some of you at Holm Park!
  7. Cant believe nobody has get the old MS Paint out of retirement and crudely drawn the boundary lines of the map of Bonnie Scotchland
  8. See EK has just signed a guy from Airdrie, another defender by the looks of it. Anyone know much about him? Fielding a team full of defenders by the looks of it next season..!
  9. Shire look to be recruiting well, looks to be potentially the most competitive Lowland League yet.
  10. I tend to agree, but the argument is lost when describing all the instances of the past, and the fact that BSC also have to move to Broadwood this weekend as they can't get first dibs on their "home" venue. Also pretty sure Gretna played a top-flight game v Rangers at Fir Park in 2008, due to Raydale being weather-problematic?
  11. You say its happened in "isolated instances", then provide 6 x examples of BSC doing it in previous seasons :-) And haven't all the instances you have identified have been for a form of "convenience", therefore how is it a "new development?"
  12. BSC have also given up home advantage this weekend, playing Gala at Broadwood.
  13. Why do the Shire keep blowing their title chances in August, it's incredible that it has happened again, when they were favoured this season, especially after such a good run last season? At least the Shire thread is still lively, notice that the BSC thread has faded as quickly as their title challenge, amazing when you consider they signed the "best player in the League!!!" :-) Spartans need to keep close to EK, or this will be over by the end of September IMO
