Highlights have been updated to include it now. Still says we won 2-1 in the title though

A real mess of a goal to concede: A 3 on 2 (with our two being our smallest players in Ross and Telfer) at the back post, followed by Hall not clearing the ball properly and then Mutch getting caught in no mans land was only going to result in one outcome.

Until that point even when we were down to 10 men Hamilton weren't really threatening us. A penalty shoot-out was the least we deserved imo

Firstly great to see fans back in the stadium.

I'm never one to slag off players (well maybe Sammon a few times but he deserved it) but that "defensive" header for their second goal that went a few feet straight up in the air was abysmal.

I've only got these highlights to go on but Lewis said the game "dramatically changed" just round about the 80th minute which is obviously the penalty and sending off but I'd say from that Accies were much the better team up until then, certainly looked bigger and stronger with more chances - so I don't know what he means. I do worry about our lack of physical strength in League One.

We seem to have a very high percentage of stupid people in our support, I saw a guy try to use his season ticket card to get in,

“naebody telt me to print anything out”

”Kin a get it on my phone”

fucking retard, I’d have told him to f**k off and away support the Old firm.

Every single week last season there were brain dead morons needing help to get logged in Or asking why they cannot watch away games -  even last night thickos not checking their junk email folders despite being asked to.

I don’t envy  club workers and volunteers having to deal with absolute brain dead stupid people in our support.

You know there are people out there who are born mentally disabled or have acquired acute brain injuries in their life. It's devastating for them and their families, I know.

Your descriptions are hurtful, disrespectful and very discriminatory.

    You absolute knob, GTF!

I can only speak for myself - for me the key point in not handing over any cash for tickets etc is that those running the club view the supporters with contempt. Until there is a clear change in that 'feeling' or real tangible steps towards fan ownership then I won't be paying my 18 quid to people who want me to sit on my hands and say "COYB" like a good little boy no matter how poor we are on the park or however much of a shambles we are off it.

I appreciate this is difficult to quantify but ever since the Craig Campbell era I've got the impression that the club hates us if there is any slight dissension or a desire for things to be less crap generally.

You can actually pinpoint the moment it all changed to the contempt and hatred they have for us now.

It went from Campbell saying my door is always open , come down for a cup of tea to you are all racists and I'm getting death threats (neither of which were able to be substantiated) - and that feeling of contempt has remained.

The actual moment I reckon was when Campbell threatened to sue a group of our own fans for using the club badge - unbelievably bad PR.

That was early eighties I think. Looking at that photo, the Leeds number 5 looks very like Jackie Charlton. Obviously not as Charlton had packed playing in the early 70s, but from that image, the guy looks very like the big guy.

It's Neil Aspin, who was only young at the time (I think he was 17) and had only just joined Leeds.

He does look a little like Big Jack to be fair

Expenses only are you having a laugh?  You wouldn't get guys like Pressley applying if that was the case.  £45k a year is the supposed amount. More than he was getting to manage premier League livi.

Yes it's expenses only , however they are on track to exceed 50K for the year as he is on his mobile phone for 12 hours a day and has had to go to a top analyst in Harley Street to treat his sleep deprivation due to late night email overload.

He's also been chartering a private jet to fly to Tenerife on several occasions as he gets a particularly intricate Kilmarnock tattoo done on his back, I think it's based on the 1997 cup final so the club are duty bound to pay for it - he's well worth it!

  6. It's just confirmed that we have a game against our Non Playing Staff on Saturday.

As we have a couple of injuries the NPS boys have kindly loaned us a few players so we can have subs.

Unfortunately they have Sammy McGivern so we will get stuffed.

Should be a cracker though, unless they call off at the last minute but that won't be Falkirk's fault.

I know that we need management and staff behind the scenes but more backroom staff than players?

What's glaringly obvious to me is that Holt needs an assistant. The poor bloke is working 12 hours a day, the fruits of which everyone can see, and he can't go to bed until just after midnight when the last email is sent.

  8. 8 hours ago, Syd Puddefoot said:

Fair enough, Id agree with some of that, ( Vaulks was watched before being invited up )but point is we've had  Sporting Director in place from January ( which we dont have back then) who remit allegedly is to target players, yet here we are a few weeks before the season starts and we have key positions to be filled and are scrambling about with trialists with unimpressive backgrounds.

Holt works 12 hour days , he's too busy for this.

And those midnight emails don't send themselves.

  9. On the CI saga , Leeds Utd renamed 2 stands after Jack Charlton and Norman Hunter within a few weeks of their passing.

The club paid for it and the signage was up with no quibble. This left the fans free to commission a mural on a building in the city.

I realize it's an unfair comparison due to the size of the the club and their budget, but this was done when Leeds were in the Championship and losing a fortune.

The point I'm making is their board actively went and done it without being asked - rather than getting in the way of it. I think this should happen at Falkirk and how cool would it be to have a building sized KM7 mural up in the town centre somewhere.

He rambled some amount of pish. Going on about top strikers listing those that had scored 15 goals including Édouard and  John Baird FFS and totally avoided the fact that we had one only two feckin seasons ago saying we haven't had one for a while . Yeah one season Gary.  His excuses on our poor perfoances included covid as if it only affected us and not the other 9 sides in the league. He'd still sign the same 3 players in January if he had to again just emphasises what a complete Muppet he is.  Laughed when he said just as well we signed them with the injuries we had. Just think if you'd signed 3 players capable of playing in league one we may have actually made the playoffs. His chat on tiffoney was ludicrous. He's just a young boy too. He's 22 and played over 100.first team games FFS. Our 3 kids had a handful of appearances between them.  Just admit you made a cant of it instead of making a fool of yourself FFS.

The bit where he says we were at the top of our game against Clyde when we got injuries had me in tears. Aye right Gary.

Yes Holt came across very poor. He was a mix of clichés and hypocrisy.  He first blamed the poor restart on Covid restrictions then later said he'd brought a new attitude where they do not use stuff like Covid as an excuse. I'm paraphrasing him but this was his gist.

I'm not sure if the other board members are in awe of him or intimidated by him but they didn't half blow smoke up his arse. Considering he works 12 hour days  (doing what?)  I would have expected to see the difference he's making by now.

I was impressed by Phil Rawlins, I'm glad he pointed out the lack of infrastructure at the club as I'd been banging on about that for months  - we have been the very minimum of what it takes to be a professional club. Lex Miller and his crew had cut us to the bare bones.

I must’ve missed this. Can you point me in the direction of where this was said? Thanks.

You need context - It was suggested by HSW within his great theory about Rawlins devious masterplan of biding his time and buying the club's shares for next to nothing.

It's never been said by Rawlins obviously, it's HSW conjecture

    Anyway , moving on.

Ultimately, even getting back to the top flight, and let’s say their 26% (or 45%) of shares they paid 40p(?) or less for sky rocket to £1.40. So, let’s say they have 45% of all shares that exist (so 45% of 5,000,000). So they want to make a killing and to walk away, so then they offer up all their shares at the end of the rainbow price of £1.40. That’s 2,250,000 shares looking for someone to buy into this oh so lucrative Falkirk Football Club.

“Yes mate, you can have less than half of this wee club for a pittance…….£3,150,000 and it yours (well, the league registration is yours along with bits and pieces of the stadium and the players. It really is a steal.”

But... but.....what about the hotel he'll build ?? Paris Hilton will pay 5M just to get her hands on it along with the club.

And apparently he will buy the council out despite them moving more and more services and departments to TFS.

    It really is MC stuff.

  13. 3 hours ago, Shadwell Dog said:

Again you keep going on about this. Whose going to sell him their shares like? We're all Falkirk fans we don't have then for value. We have them because we love the club. £1 , 40p, 1p people aren't going to sell their shares to this boy so I don't know why you keep repeating this rubbish.

I know, I laugh out loud every time he comes out with this nonsense. He goes on like Rawlins is trying to wrestle Facebook shares from Bono, it's Falkirk Football Club FFS! It's not Wall Street.

Simple. The club have been taking the fans for mugs over the last few seasons. Absolutely nothing in return for being loyal supporters and taking us for granted. 2 seasons ago, they asked us to forego refunds. We did that in spades. Last season they asked for us to pay the full price again (with a part going to charity, the amount of which was not transparent). Then we only get 10 and a half games on FFCTV and still no indication about our legal right to a refund. It’s a culture of “give us yer cash”...and once we have it ...we don’t even get a thanks!

The club could have done so much last season, an online programme, a free scarf, anything that our wonderful PR or Marketing  gurus could think up as a wee token....but naw!

But...but...it's Our Time, it's Your Club and we are The Falkirk Family

The reality is, as you note, that only a small percentage of players from either pool with “come good”, and you’d surely be better off with youth players (pay and size of the pool wise) than paying a pile of recycled part-time castoffs. Just as a matter of interest, have they suggested any structure or league that the development squad will be able to participate in or play against?

Yeah I think the assumption made is extremely unlikely. What adult footballers are going to want to play in a development squad , and are FFC really going to pay another full team's worth of adult footballer level wages whilst playing friendlies? It's been said this team will not play in any league and will instead play friendlies and exhibition matches - a bit like the Harlem Globetrotters.
